VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Meet the Christensen family, who have found their perfect getaway vehicle in a custom-built van. With a dream that began 3-4 years ago, they sought a way to bond, create memories, and foster a love for the great outdoors. Now, they're inviting you into their home on wheels that makes it all happen.
🚐💨 The Van That Fits Six:
Finding a van to fit a larger family isn't easy, but the Christensens did it. Their journey is not just about traveling-it's about prioritizing what's important, and for them, it's the invaluable experiences they're sharing as a family.
🍳 Outdoor Kitchen Setup:
With an outside kitchen, cooking becomes a delightful part of their adventure. A portable gas stove and a simple, efficient Dometic sink setup keep meals fun and family-focused, proving that a kitchen doesn't have to be indoors to be the heart of a home.
🚲 Family-Size Bike Rack:
Cycling is a passion for the Christensens, and they've equipped their van with a sturdy bike rack from L racks that accommodates all sizes, from the smallest child's bike to an adult's, ensuring their adventures always include their favorite trails.
🔧 Custom Bumper and Winch:
Safety and aesthetics go hand in hand with their Backwoods bumper. Not just for looks, the winch provides peace of mind for any unexpected situations on less-traveled paths.
💦 Water System and Outdoor Shower:
Their favorite feature? The water heater and the easy-to-use outdoor shower system, ensuring comfort without compromising the thrill of the outdoors.
🔋 Powerful Electrical System:
With a robust 400 amp-hour battery and a 2,000-watt inverter charged by 600 watts of solar panels, the van's electrical system supports their lifestyle seamlessly, whether they're on the move or settled in a remote campsite.
🚽 Traveling with Kids:
They emphasize that traveling with kids isn't something to fear. The memories and bonds formed are irreplaceable, and the van has become an extension of their adventurous spirits.
🌟 Follow the Uren Family's Adventures:
To keep up with their travels, gear tips, and family experiences, follow them on social media @advanture4six! They share their stories to inspire other families to take the leap and find what works for them.
Thank you for stepping inside the Christensen family's adventure van. If their story inspires you or if you're contemplating how to make travel work with a larger family, give this video a thumbs up, consider subscribing, and follow along as they continue to make every journey count.

For permanent leaving would not be enough with 4 children, but for vacations is great 👍🏻 , it teaches children to be close and loving family.

I think they (in my opinion) implied that it’s more of an adventure van, opposed to their full time home. I’m imagining them taking it for up to week-long ish trips but not longer. I imagine they’re financially successful to be able to afford both a house and this van specifically for their adventures.

Yeah that would be an insane number of people to live in a van. No more than two, no matter how decked out. And they’d better really like each other.

I’m not sure I could live in a van with such a large family, but there’s no question you guys are creating life long memories, giving your children a wonderful childhood they’re going to remember the rest of their lives, and most importantly, you’re creating a very close family bond that most parents struggle to give their kids nowadays. Eventually, as your kids grow, you’ll have no choice but to find something larger to live. A large toy hauler would be perfect as you can add a sufficient number of beds in the garage, in addition to the other sleeping areas in the rig. A nice used toy hauler and truck will likely cost far less than your van. Of course, as the kids grow you can always toss them out in a tent!

This really is awesome and high fives to them for getting their kids out there. Their money, their rig, it just seems from my outsider’s perspective that they put a ton of cash into something that they don’t even use to its full capabilities (meaning, taking it on short trips that, in his words, aren’t off roading.) They could have gotten by with more for less cash, but overloaded that thing, in terms of what they use it for.

It has a espar heater, max air fan, a dc air conditioner that runs off the lithium(no generator needed), upstaged suspension and brakes and rotors, 2” quigley lift, electrical system with 400 amp hour lithium, 2000 watt inverter, 600 watt solar, back and front upgraded bumpers from backwoods, winch, heavy duty bike repack and also have a rear door storage box and the vehicle was almost new with low miles when we got it. 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. That’s not the comprehensive list but a lot of it. It all starts to add up when you have someone else build it out for you.

Its an interesting build and all but c'mon now its 6 of u in a small space and all.... For the amount of money you spent on that 150,000 you could of hooked up a really awesome school bus instead. I say trade that in for a school bus or RV, have MORE SPACE for the kids and make things even more easier for u guys.... Hey you can have your OWN sleeping space as well and a kitchen with dinette table and so forth. Just saying. But hey too each is own.... God bless and be safe out there!! Happy holidays!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘

Cute setup, but I wonder - if they were willing to pay $150,000 to house 6 people, why not just buy a nice Class C or B+ for around the same price or less. Well, to each his own, but I can't deny that the van is a nice one.

There's quite a bit included in this build. Things add up fast when you consider the beefy solar setup, the AC unit, fridge, upgraded suspension, bike rack, rear storage etc. Tyler also mentioned in the comments that their van was almost new (low miles) and has a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. All of those things paired with labor costs add up quite quickly.

It is an adventure van for a large family, not a full time living setup. I have something like this for my family for six. We actually sleeping half of them in the awning room sometimes. Got to think about what this is used for. It is a people mover to the mountain in snowy conditions- a terrible use case for a class a.
