You are a master! So many great techniques! Thanks for all your great videos illustrating your methods! I’m trying my best to replicate this one at a larger scale on canvas. How do you decide how much unwanted salt to remove? If it’s densely covering a certain section, thus not letting any paint in to that area?
@JeffReiten Жыл бұрын
Thanks @thomasbanks4792!!!..You are more than Welcome! glad you are Enjoying them!..in the end i want most of the salt removes-or as much as I can get off- Basically first layer of salt acts as mask to bare wood ..then I just layer up paint and salt - and paint and salt..each layer of salt will mask the color, colors below it..then the fun part of scraping the salt and the paint that is stuck to the salt/mask off to reveal a cool effect!..hope this helps if you have any other questions just let me know..Thanks again for the kind compliments!!....Jeff

…and what about when you add water at the 9:30 mark? That’s to dissolve some of the salt that has been covered up to this point to add to the effect?
@JeffReiten Жыл бұрын
Hey @thomasbanks4792! ..Yep I use the water to dissolve any remaining salt, pick up loose paint and just kind of combine everything remaining together.
