The boat transformation : the hard work & dedication, the fact that the guy single handedly (literally) made it happen for a fraction of it's cost, all this & making it as eco-friendly as it gets is absolutely mind blowing, chapeau bas.

The fact that a completed boat house would have cost them £1 million to buy and yet their buy price and renovations when finished would only be £60k is quite staggering.
@serenakoleno93383 жыл бұрын
Love both. The unique purple and black kitchen and the living room with sugar skulls plus pole are so fun and made her so happy. Happy wife, happy life! And the amount of recycling on that barge is inspiring. Love the idea of using own glass to make countertops! You could use the bottles from your wedding, your old computer and tv screens, car windows, etc.. His dedication while injured showed such fortitude. Living in a caravan for 7 years paid handsomely. Kudos to both couples. Hope they enjoy their dream homes for many years to come.

I couldn't live in all of that purple and glossy black. It feels more like a bordello than a family home. It's not mine, though, and the homeowner seems very happy with it and that's what counts. The barge conversion is amazing--especially because the homeowner did all of the work himself and used recycled materials. It cost practically nothing, too.
@kutrabilada88653 жыл бұрын
I felt the same way about the purple and the skulls, more suitable for a teenager's bedroom but came to the same conclusion that not everyone has the same tastes.
@inesolujic25343 жыл бұрын
That glossy black floor is a nightmare. They will constantly have to clean it lest they let it look awful. Plus, it's very slippery. Can't walk on it in socks. Aesthetically, I don't like the color choices either but if it suits their taste then who am I to judge? It's their home, and it's a lovely layout and overall design, so if they enjoy those colors then that is great.

@@inesolujic2534 What you said; '...lest they let it look awful' and, sadly, that's probably what will happen (especially with that dog).

Why is everyone afraid to say that something is simply in ghastly taste? They have bad taste. They have bad taste. They gave bad taste. There. I said it. It's true and not an opinion. Everyone here knows they have trailer trash taste. Why accept that if people have trashy taste they should wallow in it instead of being educated out of it? And I'm sorry but that lardy woman on a pole in the lounge.... Well. What else could one expect of their taste?
@irisponce30612 жыл бұрын
My favorite color is purple but I would never dare put that in combination of a glossy black tile neither carry it all through out the house. All that sparkle and shimmer plus shinny is just too much..

GET A DIFFERENT CAMERAMAN! When we go to see the end results, the camera moves WAY too quickly and we don't get a chance to REALLY SEE all the work that's been done. The shots are choppy and way too fast. Just as I'm beginning to look at something, the shot changes to a completely different scene, then changes AGAIN. There's a lot of extraneous stuff we DON'T need to see, but what IS REALLY IMPORTANT, is the work that was done and I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT! This reminds me of young, inexperienced models who, when they should be standing still, out of nervousness (and not knowing any better), keep shifting from one foot to another.
