Also (I know it's probably said after the recording, but) the reason Hulk is more intelligent, in this one, is because he's been the Hulk for two years. Hulk is basically a baby-level mentality, but after he's been Hulk for two years, he's had more of a chance to adapt and learn as the Hulk.

I think a lot of people knew that it won't be a dark story when they saw the first teaser trailer. Complaining about the tonal change this late in the game is just being oblivious on purpose. It's like complaining the inside of a fridge is cold.

Moist Von Lipwig I saw people complaining about the tone change since the teaser, myself included. But we saw to give it a chance since the MCU had a couple of hiccups. And what we got is still nowhere good that should have been. I still argue that they should have kept planet hulk away from this story, and saved it for its own film.

I'm just glad I got what was advertised. I saw the teaser, and it was obvious they were going for a lighter tone. I still dislike the fact that thor the dark world and iron man 3 were advertised to be dark stories, but they really weren't. On the hulk part... it was fine (not great, but good enough). It works as a b story for a thor film. Any more screen time for hulk, and we'd have complaints about thor not getting enough screen time in his own movie. Planet hulk proper could still happen. It seems that the grandmaster is still running skaar, and skaar still really worships hulk. So there's nothing stopping Marvel from dumping korg and hulk and the rest of the gladiators back to skaar. The awesome parts about planet hulk imho was when he was ruling the planet already anyway.

I thought it was Great, Easily the BEST Thor movie, Hela & Valkyrie were FOINE, Hulk was 'Incredible' The Goldblum amazing 👌🏾 Solid Spill/Double Toasted Matinee for me. Also the SOUNDTRACK WAS Bumpin, Throwback to the 80s, I had a fun time watchin it! Also glad they let Thor go Full Bro mode. But the biggest thing I'm SOOO HAPPY THEY FINALLY DID IN THE FILMS! Was LET HULK SPEAK like he did in the Cartoons. I get the wanted Hulk to be this Wild Animal with few words but hearing him speak full sentences is what I've ALWAYS wanted. All in all def go see it!

They also made Hulk speaking have sense. He's been away from Earth in his Hulk form for two years and Sakaar's time goes by quicker (or is longer?) in comparison to that of our planet. It works.

The Avengers movie was based on the Ultimates comic, and Ultimate Hulk was much less in control and much more of a monster than most other versions of Hulk. I feel like they didn't quite go far enough in the first Avengers movie. In The Ultimates comic, Hulk eats and rapes people. I don't think they necessarily needed that in the film, but I like that level of fear and dread of banner turning into Hulk. A being made of pure anger isn't going to be rational in any way. He should be scary like a drunken step-father is scary. He's not just strong, he's out of control and nothing can pacify him.

I see their point of view and I agree to a point. My thinking has always been that if there isn't too much to the character on paper, compensate with a lot of personality and charm. It's not ideal but with the right actor (and Blanchett most certainly was up for the task), you can certainly pull it off. Unlike Korey C., I actually didn't find myself missing Thor during the Asgard scenes since I was very intrigued by Hela (ok, I admit, that outfit certainly didn't hurt).

As a female Marvel fan, I thought Hela was really cool, honestly... Her fight scene against the Asgardians toward the beginning of the movie is second only to the final battle in my opinion. Her choreography was fantastic and she looked amazing doing it. Do I wish she had a little more buildup/dimension? Sure. But she was by no means a BAD villain.

The movie is entertaining. The negatives are not really that bad. Its a Marvel movie, you know the main villain is not going to be a strong part. That's pretty much the main negative. The other negative was Idris Elba not having a bigger part. But he plays Heimdall. He does, however, play an important role. You just don't see him that much in the movie. Those aren't really large negatives but they're there.

Did someone at Marvel get inspired by D.C. to turn a great comic book movie into a shit sandwich? Might as well handed Mjolnir over to Adam Sandler for an improv version of Thor cuz the writing and "comedy" in this one was shit. Easily, this was the worst movie in the MCU so far. Over the top stupidly cheesy swings for the fence that whiff over and over. Disney is really starting to set a precedent with the dumb comedy in what should be serious moments in huge blockbusters. If you were to take those retarded lines (supposed comedy) spoken by Poe Dameron at the beginning of Episodes 7 and 8, with Kyle Ren and the red headed General character Rian Johnson ruined, respectively, and stretched them out over the course of an entire movie, you basically have the dialog for Thor Ragnarok. This could have been an amazing movie. Thor will never be a comedic or pop culture sensation like the first Guardians of the Galaxy, which is, in my opinion, the best of all the MCU movies. Had Marvel played this movie straight, with their typical sense of humor sprinkled here and there, this could have rivaled GotG 1 and Captain America Winter Soldier, as one of the best comic book movies out there. Instead...the dialog is shit. The Netflix Amy Shumer special had more going for it than did the "comedy" in Thor. The Thor/Hulk fight is the only reason to watch the movie and it's not near long enough to make up for the rest of the movie. Lazy, lazy, lazy!!!! This is just a lazy shit fucking movie! Even the music sucks, and they had all of the eighties to pull from, but went with screechy tracks that didn't even compliment the movie. Might as well slap a D.C. logo on it....
