The best part about that whole bit is that it comes out of nowhere right before the climax because this is the plot beat where the at odds characters become friends because we're in the 3rd act. Never mind that we've not built up to them at all becoming friends, Eddie spends the entire movie trying to get rid of venom, but now they're best buddies for life because the movie has to end.

TBH even tho I don't think any of these are good films, the first Venom film I enjoyed the most out of all of them tbh cause that Venom felt like the one from the PS1 Game & Comics brought to life but wasnt as flanderized yet. Venom 2 when seeing how they couldve originally done Carnage they completely effed that up. Some of the Concept Art & Animatics wouldve actually been Dope AF to see. Also the fact it wasnt R rated & has Carnage was sad. The rest of them were just ehhhhh to me.

Here's the thing with Venom, both of the first movies left me wanting more...but I was compelled by two things: the execution of the cosmic horror, and the ideas of the illustration of relationships between characters. I wanted more seeing Eddie and Venom bonding like allies in the first movie but in the second while they're obviously closer we never get a sense of what they mean to each other. Despite that though i appreciate the grisly nature of the symbiotes and how the two play off each other. Whether its accurate to the comics or not (I have seen how goofy early Venom actually was), it all paid off for as good as it could for a PG-13 SONY movie. Legit just give us an R-Rated Venom in this universe and we could have something great if they lower the stakes.

They did reference Venom 2 in the 3rd one. Played several clips of it during the end montage. Mulligan had to be saved cause he was stabbed at the end of 2. Eddie is on the run cause of the events of 2. Also, odd trying to say that it was the perceived worst one when RT score for it is the highest of the entire Venom series. Opinions can vary, sure. But I think making a blanket statement like "It's the one people liked the least" just isn't backed up by data

I only saw the first 2 Venom movies and couldn't do it anymore. The other films looked better from the trailers but when I started hearing they were even worse then the Venom movies, I completely bailed. It's too bad because I still get some enjoyment out of the early 2000s comic book films like Daredevil. Crazy to think that they couldn't even clear that bar.

Kraven is not the worst one. Madame Web is. Most of the hate of Kraven comes from the fact that this is a long lost comic book character from the 80's. He had an appearance in the 90's cartoons , but hadn't been relevant since. Considering Kraven is a long dead second tier character, it did better than I thought

Unpopular opinion but Morbius was better than the Venom movies. The Eddie/Venom dynamic was corny As a kid reading Venom comics in the 90’s, this has been the most disappointing franchise in all the Marvel Movies to drop Sorry Corey but I have not accepted Sony’s Venom
