Nice install. I keep my box pushed close to the trunk lid and both seats down, immense difference. Deadening and tightening down the trunk latch also made a big difference for me.

They are called L-Brackets I think. At least it says that, when I put subtitles on.

box is too small. check out winisd to check frequency response and you can adjust air space a tuning to get it where you want. it also provides needed port length. its free btw.

Yeah ds18 is kinda cheap crap. Had some experience with a range of their products, two different subs. A 6.5 midrange and a bullet tweeter. None of it really sounded all that good but what should I have expected from cheap stuff. One of the two subs blew out, it was rated for 900 rms, and it wasn't getting any more than 400 watts, I'm sure it was getting a good amount of clipping that night, but still. I upgraded to sundown audio for subwoofers since, never going to look at cheap crap again lol. Now I've seen a ds18 amp tested on a dyno, however, it was a 6000 watt full range amp, and it actually managed to put up 6000 watts. The Caviot is that it did the trademark of a low sq high distortion amp, when Using those amp dynos, Amps that make a lot of distortion will count up like it should until it starts distorting, then the reading will not continue to count up smoothly, it will stop, until it hits another split second where it didn't have distortion, and will jump up like this either once to the full power, or a few times on it's way. All the crappy brands I've seen this happen with. Basically throughout the entire test it was into who knows how high of a distortion level, so itll definitely blow all of your speakers lol. Ds18 is really just crap. It's a Brazilian brand I believe.

NEVER mount amps to your sub box, Amps usually dont have much board support and vibrations will eventually cause shorts and kill your amp overtime with failing solder joints etc... Mount it on the rear of your seats instead. Always do the headache test. Have the subs playing at full tilt, put your forehead directly on the surface that you are planning on mounting the amp on.... Now decide if you want to expose your amp to that kind of vibration.
