This song I wrote during the pandemic when we were all becoming a little crazy! It's about mental health issues in a scary kind of way for Halloween. I tried different rhythms for it and threw in a lot of sound effects here and there but I don't feel I recorded what I was hearing in my head. The lyrics are pretty good but the music is so-so. It's a little too long, I should have cut maybe another minute out of it. I was trying to set the right mood. It's like 2 songs meshed together into one, there's the slow spooky verses and then the very disco-flavored faster section, let me know if you think it works? It is a little creepy, especially at night when you're all alone in an old creaky house, that's when the doubts start creeping in!😱👻 The video was fun, I worked very hard on it a few months ago just for Halloween 2024. Getting creeped out and losing your mind is not my idea of fun but it's Trick Or Treat time! Why do we like being scared so much? Who knows? The couple in the video seem to be on a bad acid trip more than anything else most of the time!😂 This is video #3 for Halloween, the weakest of the seven that I've got scheduled to drop. Mental Health is a horrid thing but it's normal to get spooked when you're alone in an old noisy drafty house in the middle of the night, I think that's when the doubts start creeping in, at least for me! I threw in so many audio & video special effects in both the recording and the video that when I was finally done I thought I had finished a movie!😂 Or a TV show like "American Horror Stories". Hi Janet! How are you doing? Yeah, this was a really creepy song & video! Mental Illness is very scary in reality! I like to write about several different topics, I'm very versatile! But it's true that when you're all alone on a cold dark dreary night, in an old creaky house, and you start hearing noises like the wind howling outside, that's when the doubts start creeping in! At least it is for me, I start getting the willies! I hope I got that feeling across in the song & video because Halloween is around the corner!😱👀👻 The next song is even creepier!! I think the combination of a spooky slow start which then transitions to a faster / disco vibe was excellent and very unexpected! The way you made the transitions flow throughout were beautifully done! I never would have thought this combo would work but here you are surprising us with new music fusions and expanding outside of the typical Halloween sounding music! 👻😱 I loved the way Charlie sang and it was perfect for the vibe and it was great how he changed his vocals to be a little on the low side at times. Yeah, I've had to rework many a lyrics for Charlie because he doesn't curse, he doesn't like lyrics that are too sexual, or too scary, or too political, etc, ect.. Stuff like that, so I've been just singing most of my songs myself lately, at least I can keep the lyrics I originally written. The rest of the spooky songs this month and sung be me.
