Doug isn't very knowledgeable when it comes to technical specs on cars. He has never worked on a car in his life, so if you want an idea of what goes into the "Super Sport" variation of Bugatti's cars, I highly recommend watching Jason Cammisa's video on the "Second" Veyron on the Hagerty KZbin channel. He explains the immense amount of engineering effort that goes into these power boosts, and improved levels of handling. When you're talking about performance at this level, there is exponentially more effort necessary for such gains compared to something like a simple ECU flash in a standard car to give it an extra 50-100hp.

@@crispynotburnt physics can be simulated with extraordinary levels of accuracy these days. The tests are meant to make sure that the vehicles are safe in *general* for public use, not meant to make sure they pose no danger whatsoever in every single possible scenario. No one can ever know every possible scenario a crash will occur in, so the tests are just meant to rate the safety in the most common/deadly types of crashes I believe.

1:20 ... Absolutely beautiful - and timeless looking colour combination specification on this Chiron Super Sport here 😍 ! For about nearly 19, or rather 11 1/2 years, l always hoped to see some Veyron ( ! ) Super Sport in this silver / dark blue carbon fibre colour scheme ! "Unfortunately", I "only" had each once the opportunity to see a Veyron - / Chiron Super Sport, live and personally - each one in one dark colour full carbon scheme ! On top, the Chiron Super Sport 300+, that 'Shmee150' took to central Munich, earlier this year in March. What country and city showroom displayed your above presented - & reviewed exact copy of the Chiron Super Sport ? From south western Bavaria in southern Germany. MAH.

Well wasn't that the entire MISSION of the Bugatti? It wasn't just a matter of building the FASTEST production car in the world, but it had to also be a car that was comfortable to live with on a daily basis. Like the Ferarri F-40 is fast, but it's not exactly 'luxurious' lol

Finally a set of factory wheels that look the part. I can't really imagine any aftermarket wheels looking better than the factory. EDIT: The exhaust note just isn't capable of being understood until its pushed hard with a load on the engine. Then you'll hear the anger.
@rustler082 жыл бұрын
Well, more importantly: I cannot imagine any aftermarket wheels that I would trust. It's a heavy car that was designed for high speeds, and unless the aftermarket company validated the wheels for use both at high speeds and the forces exerted by a heavy vehicle traveling at fast speeds, you're taking a gamble on a multi-million dollar car for something superficial.

The gear selector in the Chiron is used in every E92 BMW and is identical to the E92 M3's gear selection minus the cool button for park. But I suppose BMWs don't need you to push a button to park. They just do it when you turn the engine off.

I worked with the engineers who supplied the steering wheel. The entire rim is milled from a solid block of aluminum before being wrapped in leather. They were telling me that the steering’s price is around $25,000 alone. They put serious money into the quality and materials. The added weight was an afterthought.
