Frankly most people think reasonably or somewhat moderately like this. We are talking about political minorities that control the media, and corporations that bend the knee to communist Chinese views for money, and thus control the perception. It's reaching a boiling point where more and more people are realizing what this is, I feel, but a lot of damage has already been done/continues to be done. Many people have left the woke movement and continue to do so in increasing numbers, after they realize it has become a pseudo-religion (and especially after their city gets burned down).

His parents still can't speak English but they did well after immigrating and there kid has pandemic proof employment, a house in his early 20's, a nice truck, etc. He's doing better than some people almost twice his age nowhere near paying off school debt while justifying an $1800/month one room apartment in a declining city.

Fantastic. I've listened to lots of Douglas' interviews about The Madness of Crowds, and as time has passed his distaste for all the various wokisms has become more pronounced, and rightly so. It is a joy to hear someone present what is so obviously true so eloquently. Even the wokists know they're fighting against truth, that's why they become so angry, because it doesn't matter how intellectual or abstract your concepts are, the truth does not change.
@daviru024 жыл бұрын
That's precisely why they don't want to hear any argument against their side. Because they know their argument may fall apart.
@fortusvictus82974 жыл бұрын
I'd consider a counter-argument here. Ever considered 'they' don't consider themselves as fighting against any fixed 'truth' but rather they may be coming from the point of view that the 'truth' they are being fed is a creation of systems/hierarchies/people over time and are subject not only to change but should be reset and reinvestigated in a 'progressive' manner? Its not a new thing, itsa pretty old concept going all the way back to before the Bolsheviks but here it is. It's that process is actively taught in the Universities at the undergrad level and given terms like 'post-modern' and 'progressive' and young students with very little grasps on the traditional concepts they have just been exposed to are then told to deconstruct them and subject them to dogmatic screening for acceptance into the good graces of their peers.

Several thoughts on this interview 1. Peter Robinson's preparation for these interviews is outstanding. He actually reads the books, asks great questions and has the perfect mix between speaking/listening. 2. Douglas Murray has the magical ability to take the issues that we know are wrong but we don't have the ability to accurately articulate the problem. 3. In this Woke world of cancel culture, you have to give Murray a great deal of credit for speaking out. His harsh views on BLM, George Floyd and big tech companies takes a tremendous amount of courage. 4. The only issue I have with Douglas Murray is latest conversations are too much on LGBTQ. I want him to speak more about US race issues, biased world media and the wokeness of major corporations.

Whenever I listen to Douglas Murray speaking about the current state of America and the West, I am reminded of the words of author Theodore Dalrymple (a.k.a Dr. Anthony Daniels): “Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”

Very great interview and much appreciated. I'm so impressed by his " Uncommon knowledge"👏. It is my honor to have grown up in a "saner world" of the 1940-60s in Traditional Catholicism. After studying the Holy Scriptures for 50 years, I feel like I'm on solid ground because I stand on the solid rock Jesus Christ. All my family left Christ after schooling in university and turned to Marxism. I am 73 and sad for this world but pray and stand up for God's Truth. I just won't leave Him. He's my hope, consolation and my Savior. I'm am a sinner, flawed and groping for true love, honesty and truth. Dear Lord Jesus, have mercy on us. Jesus, I trust in You!

Thankfully there is a venue for a smart, calm and methodical conversation about things that cannot be openly discussed but are percolating under the surface at all times.

What a wonderful speaker he is (they both are! but especially Douglas Murray). Thoughtful, learned, passionate and extremely coherent. (And not a single um, er, like, you know from start to finish). Well done, Douglas.

If you dig a bit into these new "religions" there is an old one coming thru ... marxism.

So, so, good. I haven’t watched mainstream television in a long time. Thank you for making this available and I appreciate you NOT censoring so I can make my own choice. Thank you!

At last, someone who tells it how it is and so nice to listen to someone i can fully agree with. Sanity with Douglas and over a million views can`t be wrong. Thanks for this.

LOVE Douglas Murray. Thank you Mr. Robinson for your very interesting conversations with interesting people. There are so few of these platforms left like this. Much appreciated and what a great service and record of current culture trends this has provided to the world.

Douglas Murray is just brilliant. To listen to him is amazing. My mind jumps for joy at his logic. So completely reasonable and powerfully truthful. We need your voice Murray.

The only remedy for our current situation is serious and widespread hardship...all of this seems to me to stem from too many people having a deficit of actual difficulty.

This is what the internet was made for. So happy to see logical reasoning is still alive and healthy in our highest institutions.
