Normally I don't record mall elevators, but this is a nice glass elevator, especially for a 2-story department store. It’s not all that common for department stores to have Dover glass elevators. The 2nd floor only takes up about half of the store.
This was originally W.T. Grant, then it became Burdines in 1977, and Macy's in 2005. Sadly this got an Innovation Universal slap-on by General, but luckily it didn’t ruin most of the character. This probably originally had the pushy white buttons. This still has the original controller. I find the office-style drop-ceiling rather interesting. The escalators, and the freight elevator here are Montgomery from 1981. This is the only public elevator in the mall.
