I loved Nancy Drew! My mom'scousin (closer to my age) had them all on built in bookshelves in her bedroom. I remember at age 8 I stayed with her (mom was on honeymoon) and envied her books and shelves and window seat so much! My other favorite was Trixie Belden mysteries!

We were looking for a new church earlier this year and the one we ended up choosing had me from the first smell. It smelled like my church growing up and it grabbed my heart. It ended up being the right choice for us for many other reasons, but smell gets me. When I get an older book and open it and get a whiff of that "vintage" smell, it makes me so happy. 😁

Such great finds! The Beverly Gray books look beautiful--I read some of those around ten years ago and enjoyed them. A word about the Nancy Drew books.... I no longer read the yellow copies, for I discovered they were *incredibly* shortened from the originals and plots and characters were even changed. So disappointing! I gave away all of mine, then began collecting the Applewood editions (via Ebay or Abebooks mostly) which were reprinted in the 1990's and include everything the originals did(!) Such gorgeous paintings/drawings, too. Or I also collect actual originals or blue hardcover copies when possible. I try never pay over $11 for any of these and use any gift cards when I can. Just thought I'd mention these. I think you'd also enjoy these so much better than the yellow copies. Thanks for sharing your fun book haul! I also own Mystery of the Empty House and reread that one this summer. :)

The Market Square could be read as a standalone, but it is the first in the Caxley Chronicles which is a duology. I've read it, but haven't read the second one yet. I'm getting ready to film a book haul myself and I have a couple of memory lane books too. Have you ever heard of The Happy Hollisters? I've seen them but can't remember the name of the publisher or the title of the series. I went into a Mennonite community and they had some at the general store.
