With the gushen glitch, it is possible to escape. I used the motion controls to use the water to run out of water and fall back down. It essentially puts the game into the state where nothing is solid anymore.

With the gushen glitch, shaking the controller would make you slowly lose water. When you lost all water, you would fall back down. This makes the level in a state where everything is frozen and collision just doesn’t work.

The corruption that happened to Mario after falling for a really long time is a problem with the limitation of how computers calculate large and precise numbers (floats). Floats are great for representing decimals but the greater you make them the less precise the are able to be. So Mario’s position is saved as one of these variables and it isn’t able to be precise so Mario gets stretched along these imprecise points in space.

I know of a similar thing that happens in another game. If you fall out of bounds in a way where you're pucking up speed as you fall, the character model gets distorted. I'm not sure if you gain speed over time by ground pounding, but if you do it's probably the same thing (I have no idea what would cause it though)

Another glitch with glydon: Alright, so get glydon in sand kingdom. Go down to the quicksand. Go to the stairs which are not a slope. Go up the stairs. Go between the 2d pipe and the wall. Press and hold b twice. You should be angled on the weird 2d pipe. Hold towards the wall then jump. If you did it correctly, you should be able to clip through the wall. This allows you to get glydon in the quicksand room. If you want them to escape, just fiddle with the pipe.

The corruption of Mario's model is due to the limited precision of a floating-point number (they basically work like scientific notation). If you fall for a long time, eventually, you go so far that floating-point numbers don't have enough fractional digits to represent the vertices of Mario's model accurately.

the Infinite Corruption glitch happens in every game when you just move far away enough from the center. Center = the geometrical center on which the coordinates of all entities are based on. This center should be somewhere on the playable map or at least very close to the map. These glitches happen because graphical calculations use floating point numbers, which become less precise when they get bigger (positive as well as negative) and more precise when they get closer to 0. While falling for ever, the game will keep on increasing (or decreasing while being negative - because you're falling) the Y-Coordinate. This will make all graphical calculations which use this coordinate to become increasingly faulty until they break down completely like you see here.
