That’s interesting. Stoics tend to think about what can go wrong in the morning so they’re prepared, whereas Daniel does the opposite. I wonder how he handles bad things during the day with such an optimistic attitude. Anyone have any ideas?
@Truthseeker371 Жыл бұрын
Regardless of the timing, both good and bad situation comes up beyond your control. I trained myself not to panick. Accept it. Also trained to be prepared the worst and hope for the best. Travelling the world alone was a good teacher.

Stoicism is the ability to endure pain or hardship without displaying feelings and without complaint. It's not the opposite of optimism. An optimistic person looks for the positive aspects in a situation. That doesn't prevent them from handling problems. In fact, it may help them to deal with less than ideal situations because they expect to be able to. 😊😊

He mentioned prayer and he also mentioned evolution. So, how can we mix these two together ? If he is religious person he should not believe in theory of evolution and vica versa.
@angelahiebert3300 Жыл бұрын
Many religious people accept evolution. It is only the fundamentalists who eject evolution.
@peterlindal3352 Жыл бұрын
I think that is a common thought, but in my expirience these two can be held at the same time, though it certainly makes us think through what the relatiobship is between God and evolusjon. If you are interested in digging deeper, biologos has a channel on KZbin, Kallistos Ware and Sarah Coackley are also theologians who explore this topic. Have a blessed day friend!

Evolution does not necessarily negate God and His Creation of Man ... especially if you mean evolution within a species (for example, the Galapagos Island Turtles) vs a species evolving into another species (for example, apes evolving into humans).

I always observe how someone looks and the quality of their sound (timbre). Even his voice does not sound youthful. I can't put my finger on it...but something is off about the quality of his voice. I wonder if he is vegetarian. My elderly father and elder mother in law have great voices (timbre)....unlike Charlotte Gerson and T. Campbel (both vegans)...yes the former 2 lived long but so are my father and mother in law living long (they eat meat but they don't over eat it)....they are more vibrant at the same ages as them and have strong timbre. So, I would bet Dr. Amen is vegan. He would benefit from having meat even if only 3 times per week. Also, Gerson and Campbel have a grayer skin texture compared to my father and mother-in-law. So, I think that is his problem--vegetarian. Should eat meat 3 x per week.
