Dr. Huberman's facing heat on multiple fronts. Professionally, he's criticized for promoting pseudoscience, oversimplifying complex topics, and misrepresenting research. His supplement endorsements and cannabis claims have raised eyebrows. Personally, recent allegations from multiple women accuse him of manipulation, secret relationships, and erratic behavior. One ex even claims he pursued other women during their IVF treatment. It's a stark contrast to his public image as a wellness guru. Seems like there's more to the story than his polished podcast persona suggests.

Sorry dude, you're wrong on this one... Kinda. At extra large doses, you don't need a MAOI and you can have an insane experience. 2 grams capsuled is where you start to feel it nicely and the feeling is adjacent to molly, albeit more chilled out and far less speedy. I did between 2-7ish grams regularly, almost daily for about 6 months in the past (only increasing the dose due to tolerance). Extremely pleasant serotonin type euphoria that radiates from your stomach and buzzes up your spinal chord, however that only lasts about 15-20 mins TOPS and then receeds. BUT I've also taken way too much (8+ grams at 1 time, capsuled w/ little to no tolerance built) and omfg. It became legitimately dangerous... The strongest sensations I ever felt on a drug, far beyond euphoria and had become miserable and unbelievably intense for about 45 mins with nausea growing from bad to extreme throughout. Then i ended up puking uncontrollably nonstop for another 30 mins, the whole time thinking I was going to die... Heart beating out of my chest, sweating like a maniac, overwhelming physical sensations, shaking uncontrollably. Oh, and a throbbing headache that was near unbearable. A terrifying overdose experience from a substance that "does nothing". 90 mins from ingestion I finally started to come down and the feeling began to taper. I was so physically exhausted by the end of it that 30 mins later, I fell asleep and slept 16 hours that night. Still had a bad headache most of the next day and felt pretty grimey, but otherwise was fine. And I was using the exact same baggie of PEA you use in this video. No MAOI. And I definitely learned my lesson about being cocky with extreme doses. It's worth experimenting with, definitely, but please don't underestimate it and take such an extreme dose. I legit believe I could have died. Truly terrifying. Be safe, stay sane, and use your head so you don't lose your head!

@@Gooberstein612 - If you want your neurotransmitters, try out Methylfolate (7.5mgs to 15mgs once a day) with plenty (and i do mean plenty) of B12 aka Methylcobalamin twice a day, 100 to 200mgs of P5P B6 (taken once or split into twice a day), and then enough Tryptophan (i use 1 gram) or Tyrosine (i usually use 500mgs because i need more Serotonin than Dopamine so i don't need Tyrosine as much i don't think) and you will get your Serotonin and Dopamine. The reason why we're low in neurotransmitters these days and need the meds, is because we have deficiencies in Folate, B12 and B6, and likely aren't getting enough Tryptophan. But it's the Folate, in particular the Methylfolate, that is involved in the synthesis of Tetrahydrobiopterin which is used by the Hydroxylase enzymes to synthesize 5-HTP and L-Dopa from Tryptophan and Tyrosine, and the more Methylfolate you consume, the more Tetrahydrobiopterin is synthesized and the more 5-HTP and L-Dopa can be synthesized, then B12 is involved in methylation reactions since it carries the methyl group from Methylfolate to donate it to Methionine regeneration of Homocysteine, which Methionine then goes into the SAM cycle to regenerate/synthesize SAM, then you need the B6 for decarboxylation of 5-HTP and L-Dopa by the AADC/DOPA Decarboxylase enzyme, and there ya go. Also pay attention to one's fingernail moons/lunulas, as they seem to be an indicator of Folate status in the body, if one has little to no fingernail moons, they are low low low in Folate, ideally the fingernail moons should be all the way up the nail.

MAOIs can interact dangerously with foods high in tyramine, an amino acid that regulates blood pressure. Here are some types of foods to avoid while taking MAOIs: * Aged cheeses: Aged cheddar, Swiss, Parmesan, blue cheeses (Stilton, Gorgonzola, Roquefort), Camembert, etc. * Cured meats: Salami, pepperoni, sausages, dry-cured ham, bacon, hot dogs, corned beef, etc. * Fermented foods: Sauerkraut, kimchi, soy sauce, miso, tempeh, etc. * Certain beans: Broad beans, fava beans * Aged or fermented alcoholic beverages: Red wine, Chianti, draft beer, sherry * Certain fruits and vegetables: Overripe fruits, avocados, figs It's important to note that the tyramine content of foods can vary, and some individuals may be more sensitive to tyramine than others. It's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian to create a personalized diet plan while taking MAOIs. When MAOIs and tyramine-rich foods are combined, it can lead to a dangerous condition known as a hypertensive crisis. This occurs because MAOIs inhibit the enzyme monoamine oxidase, which normally breaks down tyramine. As a result, tyramine levels in the body can rise significantly, leading to a sudden and severe increase in blood pressure. Symptoms of a hypertensive crisis can include: * Severe headache * Rapid heart rate * Chest pain * Shortness of breath * Nausea and vomiting * Confusion * Anxiety * Sweating In severe cases, a hypertensive crisis can lead to stroke, heart attack, or even death. It's crucial to strictly adhere to a low-tyramine diet while taking MAOIs and to avoid any foods or beverages that could trigger a dangerous reaction.

I went through a phase of trying to combat depression with these types of Amazon supplements. Didn’t work. Some of them can make to feel quite strange and vitamin b complex made me angry af. My best depression cure for when I’m really down is to wake up have a something to eats and a coffee and then take about 60mg of codeine about half and hour to an hour later and then when that’s starting to work I take a hit of cannabis from my budbomb and the combination is great. They work well together so the codeine takes away all the nervousness of the cannabis and the cannabis works to stop the codeine nausea and irritability. I try to only take one dose of codeine but sometimes I will take more in the evening to relax but small amounts. That way when you stop you don’t get withdrawals except maybe feeling like a slight cold. I would only recommend people who taken opiates before and now they can control themselves try this though as the codeine can be very powerful the first time and knock you out like heroin and make you want to chase that high but you’ll never get it again like the first time unless you give up for ten years.

@@RoxasReviews I had never heard of huberman before this video. I have bought and taken several bags of PEA over the past 8 years and introduced several people to it. MAOI will stretch it's effects, and it is effective. Y'all need to try science
@intragalacticalКүн бұрын
You should try taking that with a lot of garlic and black pepper (Piperine specifically), maybe in supplemental (pill) forms if you can find them. Studies have found that garlic and Piperine appear to inhibit both MAO-A and MAO-B. How much of both or either is needed to get any noticeable benefit (when combined with PEA for example), I don't know, and could be too much to ever be viable. However, I would be interested to see if a reasonable amount of both could get some noticeable effects out of the PEA. Moreover, I would be interested to see if PEA combined with simply garlic and pepper heavy food would bring out anything noticeable, though I'm sure you would vomit your guts out at that point. Because if it would, Huberman would be very slightly correct.

If you take a few grams at once you get an insane buzz that lasts like 15 minutes

I use it sometimes and you have to do a huge amount to get any effects and it usually last like 10-15 minutes before wearing off. It feels like a very uncomfortable come up comparable to mdma but not nearly as euphoric and much more uncomfortable.

i cant wait to see next episode. even maoi inhibitors are powerful by itself. i overdosed on some syrian rue powder a week ago, it wasn't fun... i just wanted to intensify my weed high:D instead it gave me a mini psychedelic experience which humbled me.

If it's dopamine you want, taking zinc is healthy in moderation and acts as a DRI, similar to coke and ritalin.

Just a thought: I don’t know if it’s the best to try a compound that is supposed to make you feel a rush of some kind while taking another drug (in your case caffeine) I know in conclusion you said that you didn’t feel anything but if you actually did it could’ve been because of the coffee.

In order to get to those receptors it has to be able to pass into your brain without being dismantled by an enzyme called Monoamine Oxidase, which usually dismantles neurotransmitters in your brain like dopamine. In order for it to actually do anything you have to take a different drug that is a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor. Without it the drug does nothing, but Monoamine Oxidase inhibitors can have numerous side effects and using them to get the benefits of PEA would be a risk to the user, just like things like Ayahuasca, it is an extreme risk to change your body's normal functions especially relating to the brain.
