Last year, I did keto and OMAD. I went from 275 down to 210. Steak, hamburger, bacon, eggs, HARD cheese, and certain vegetables. Water with lemon and tea. Pants from 52 to 34, no more meds for HBP, NO LONGER border line diabetic. Inflammation in my hips so bad I couldn't put my socks on without laying on the bed and going thru maneuvers! All GONE! I'm walking 10 miles a day (weekends off). Hour and half of weight lifting, and life is soooo good now! I'm 67 years old. Thanks for all the work you do on our behalf.

In 75 days on carnivore I've done this: Weight down from 310 to 265. Fasting insulin down from 47.7 to 23.1. Inflammation gone. Off the blood pressure medicine I've been on for over 20 years. Off Metformin. Off Allopurinol. I feel better than I have in 20 years. I doubt I'll ever go back to eating plants.

Enjoyed reading your comment. I live by my own motto: nothing tastes good enough to feel bad. And when you can have a ribeye or whatever your meat of choice is, it is the easiest diet to stay on, not really a diet like Dr. Berry says. Get your Ph.D. proper human diet; all the drugs in the Mayo Clinic won't do you as much good.

Most of the time I was juicing and depending on all these green vegetables nothing was working for me. I was so frustrated and depressed. One day I told my husband I should just stop eating whatever I eat it goes in my body and changes to inflammation. until last month I came across your program, and I went cold, turkey carnivore I am a totally different person. Yep. I can’t do booze no more either. Had my last New Year’s eve beer last year, bcuz the hangover was crazy! I felt like every ounce of fluid in my body was drained! And all I had is one beer, which is all I had for most of my life. Was never a drinker. Only had a beer once a year at New Year’s eve. I was on keto the year before last and didn’t feel adverse effects until I went carnivore. Carnivore and alcohol definitely don’t mix.

For over 30 years I was respecting the food pyramid: lots of vegetables, fruits, legumes and cereals, and small quantities of lean meat and vegetable oil. My health was deteriorating slowly but steadily, and I spend a lot of time seing numerous doctors and specialists. I thought I had just bad luck, bad genes and getting old. Since one year I'm carnivore and not only did I lose 79 pounds, but it has also cured me from an endless list of ailments: irritable bowel syndrome, hyperhidrosis, hypertension, eczema on legs and armpits, psoriasis in my lower back, seborrheic keratosis on torso and back, skin tags on my scalp, hay fever, arthritis in shoulders and knees, less chronic fatigue, chronic depression and social anxiety. I also noticed that I have whiter teeth with less tartar, a pinker tongue, smoother skin, less body odor, and much less floaters in my eye sight.

Human physiology is human physiology, and with the rare exception of a few outliers, we all have the same functions. @@mateuscosta787 8 months and counting. I wasn't necessarily trying to heal anything in particular. I got seduced by the promise of more energy, better mental clarity, and better sleep. Since I was already at almost ideal BMI, I didn't have any weight to lose really (still lost ~7kg without trying, lol). Well, it didn't quite work out the way I hoped. More energy is a eeeeh... a bit? But nothing life changing. However, I do sleep significantly better, my mood improved a lot, I don't get as many infections as before, and I have almost forgotten what it feels like to be hungry. Pretty awesome all around. Only trouble for me is that I don't digest fats too well - I suspect bile acid malabsorption - so I can't really go all out on the fats. Maybe that's why I don't get the huge awesome energy boost other people are reporting. But even with the occasional bathroom trouble if I overdo my butter, it's been a very positive experience!

Did keto for a long time but carnivore is the way to go. Keto gives me the option for occasional sugar cheat day, that makes me crave sugar especially when the house is full of stuff that will make me go on a sugar binge. Its like giving a person on sobriety a cheat day to have one drink. Carnivore just keeps me full all day and no option for a sugar slippage.

Thank you so much. I have learned more in this one hour and 17 minutes than the two months I have been on carnivore. I always instinctively knew that spending so much time in the kitchen was not normal human behaviour and have suffered so much with oxalate and fibre issues. Carnivore is no mess no fuss. At 67 I am happy to say that I am building muscle that was getting quite weak. Loosing weight slowly but am happy with it as the inches lost are more than I expected. I live on an Island and am able to ask the butcher what meat I want to be minced and he does it right in front of me so I can choose more fat that he takes off other pieces and adds to the meat I buy.

38:14 In the early 70's I asked the butcher why some beef was darker and had yellow fat. He said it was from older animals and that it had more flavor and nutrients. He also explained that the grain council was promoting the milder flavor of grain-fed beef, and people were being influenced to prefer the less flavorful, younger, grain-fed beef. Makes me wonder if the feedlot meat producers didn't also concoct the mad-cow scare that forced a further shift to younger beef.

As a beef farmer we used to be able to keep beef cattle for longer, but to be honest after 3 years old they do get sicker more often and develop more diseases. Currently animals have to be killed in our country prior to 36 months, and I agree with this protocol. All our animals are grass fed, and only recieved antibiotics in extreme cases ( less than 1% of our animals ever receive an antibiotic in their life)

I’ve only been on the Conivore for a month, and I know refer to it as the diet of peace. I eat the meats I like (occasional cheese and eggs), eat when I’m hungry, stop when I’m full. Have not been a scale and won’t even guess if I lost weight but all the swelling, puffiness, and bloating is gone. A ring I wore for over a year fell off. Snoring has stopped, inflammation as stopped, I’m not in serious pain when I wake up, and mood is so much more steady and at ease. I don’t count, measure, or prep. All sugar and carb cravings gone or at the very least extremely manageable. I just feel normal. So grateful.

I did a Dr. Boz recommended sardine fast for 48 hours and my glucose went down from 100-110 in mornings to 70-80, and my ketones went from .3 to 2.2. And what’s better is it stopped my stall and my glucose has stayed low and keytones have stayed high now a week later. I think eating a steak and ground beef every day, the protein was being converted to glucose. I may not have been eating enough fat. Anyway, this got me on track. I still don’t love sardines (tastes like tuna) but it worked for me.

Hey Anthony. I loke the fact you visited Canada and backed the Canadian Beef farmer!! Out west!! You are the only Dr ( with respect) that doesn’t bounce all over the place. Hard to know what to believe today, the internet is all about hits , to the internet channel, of the person. I have fallen off the carnivore proper way of eating recently. But, i never felt better , when i followed what you have said!! You don’t vary, you explain, you are extremely intelligent, mostly because you call it like it is, and you care. I think people need more of a coaching aspect, not much, but just to reinforce , the journey. I hope you continue. Probably a 2 minute conversation, would keep people on track, but there is only so much you can do. I appreciate Anthony Chaffee, the best of the best in my opinion, yet , with respect to others. I also would say live your life and only make your carnivore or kito more restrictive only if you want to do or feel better. I don't keep a strictly carnivore diet, but I do sort of naturally gravitate towards full carnivore to feel better. I also do intermittent fasting, Wim Hof breathing exercises and keeping me doing exercise. I am 60, no medications. I rarely ever see a doctor, but that has to do with my distrust of hospitals. I have only been on keto/carnivore for about 8 months. I consider myself pretty healthy. I can sprint at 60 and i mean sprinting, not running a bit, i mean at pretty much full speed.

In reference to the part of the discussion concerning thyroid....I had symptomatic thyroid issues. Have had 3 different thyroid biopsies that contained abnormal cell growth and activity. Something I have not heard mentioned that is just mind-boggling to me isthe fact that I had lost all the hair on my calves, supposedly due to thyroid malfunction. I started carnivore on July 1st, just 24 days ago. The hair on my calves is re growing. I just looked down 2 days ago, and there it is! Multiple times, I wanted to cheat or discontinue this way of eating, but every time I seriously contemplated this, there is something that is physically observable that makes me stop that train of thinking. Extremely dry skin, another example of possible thyroid malfunction, gone. Blood sugar, rock steady. Weight, down 12 pounds. I guess it's just sugar addiction tugging on me. I'm hoping it gets easier with time. The observable benefits have kept me going. These are things that medicine had no answer for........just saying

I didn't realize all the hair on my calves was gone until it surprised me by growing back after going Clean-Keto! I want to build on the health/energy benefits I've gained through Keto, IF, and now a weekly 36 hour fast, so I'm looking into Carnivore. Keep at it sir, and best of luck! And... I love your handle "1FoundSheep!" My health-goal list is marked "Unprofitable Servant of the Most High," see Luke 17:7-10. I regard the heroic effort I'm making to change my eating habits is actually not so heroic, but rather penance for many years of abusing food. Eating healthily is it's own reward; a logical action once I recognized I was dissing God by not caring for the body He gifted me with. I intend to complete my health-rebuilding project so I can be ready & available for whatever service the Lord asks of me. Therefore this "unprofitable servant" is simply doing his duty. Just a thought. God bless!

In regards with the sardine fast. It really worked better than anything I’ve done in the last 189 days. Carnivore hasn’t done much. The healing has been super slow. Months of waiting for my sleep to improve. Just now starting to get better.it’s been 7 months. The weight loss is painfully slow and I have a total of 95 pounds to shed. I am down 25 pounds. I’ve tried just beef, eggs and water. I’ve tried more fat. I’ve tried adding more salmon more bacon. It’s frustrating because I read the comments and see people have rapid results and I’m struggling. So I tried the sardine fast my blood sugar came down 15 and my ketones skyrocketed to 2.5. Most of the time my BG is around 75 to98. Ketones are .5 to 1.5. Lots of fasting 15-20 hours. I think anyone struggling should try the sardine fast.

I think healing should be looked at realistically. I broke two small bones in my wrist and it took almost a year for them to completely heal. If you have 95lbs of excess body weight, that a sign of a lot of inflammation and damage. Don’t confuse folks feeling better quickly, with healing quickly. Decades of damage takes years to heal.

I realised that my muscles were very weak and in two months of slow weight loss I have been gaining muscle mass. I measure my body every week and it is getting smaller because I am having to alter my clothes on a regular basis. My arms are getting bigger but the muscle is definitely increasing. I also heard one doctor say that fasting in some people may trigger a starving mechanism and it will slow the weight loss. I am not too sure about this but I only do 16 to 17 hour fasting and that is because I have been eating only lunch and dinner for a long time and my body is happy with that.

This was definitely the most refreshing "canirvore" interview. A while back when it was called Zero-carb, it was as simple and powerful as Dr Chaffee describes it.. I couldn't fail but notice just how the vast majoriyt of the interview is all about correcting those who add to this simplicity or, if you will, will call the slightest meat intake, "carnivore" even if they eat other things around it. It was the same thing with Dr. Donaldson in his book Strong Medicine. Donaldson noticed that the only people in his decades of practice (1950s and 1960s) who failed on his regime were the poople who just couldn't follow his very simple regimen: Meat with fat.... For some, allowing no more than a demitasse of black coffee ("it helps secure co-operation from the patient" a psychological support more than a benefit). The real problem with the expansion of the simple basics of the "carnivore" diet.... Stick to it, repair and heal and only then choose otherwise.

It seemed to me to be her way to do promote a "fast" while eating pretty good macros via sardines in whatever numbers you can want or handle. It seemed to me that was in lieu of a total water fast. I just bought my supply of beautiful bone-in ribeyes from Stater Brothers today. That's MY preferred keto/carnivore eating (I switch between 90 to 100% meat)

I don’t know how y’all can enjoy rib eyes; I can’t stand the globs of fat, no matter how I cook it. But ground chuck with butter is what I crave, with intermittent bacon. To each our own, huh?

I would lose a lot of weight quickly, because I just can't eat sardines. I did when I was a kid, I ate them on saltine crackers. But there's just no way I can do it now. I would have to be damn hungry. So I guess a sardine fast is what I would be on.

Thank you Dr Chaffee and Rena! 😊 6 months on Carnivore and very little weight loss. Off Metforman, lowered my A1C, lowered my Synthroid, lowered my BP. I think that I now know what has stalled my weight loss: DAIRY! 🥛 How can I give it up? I must be addicted! I gave up bread, sugar, soda, fruit, chocolate, protein shakes, smoothies, wine, vodka. Now it’s clear! DAIRY!

Hi.. been Carnivore since 5/1/23. Started due to dermatology issues, Granuloma Annulare. Things there are slowly improving. However, no weight loss & not felt particularly better ie. Sleep, energy levels, no improvement either. Have felt discouraged tbh but not giving up. I may be a slow healer 😢 Fortunately I love this WOE.

I started because of my acne and skin problems as well, it stopped the irritation and itches after 3-4 days, the energy level increases around the same time as well, maybe its because I'm always active and eat little sugar even way before, keep doing it, it works, I'm actually worried that it's hard to keep my weight up

Bland chicken: the reason The highest cost of raising chickens for meat is the cost of feed. If a farmer can shorten the time he has to feed his chickens, he will make more money. Combine that with the primary "breed" used for meat birds, the Cornish cross, which has been selected for extremely fast growth over everything else, including flavor, and you arrive at bland chicken. There are other breeds that grow more slowly and thus have much better flavor. These tend to cost the consumer more because more feed is required. But there are ways to dramatically reduce the cost of feed so we can bring back the better breeds, get rid of the Cornish cross, and bring back chicken meat that actually tastes good.

1 week on carnivore and chronic knee pain, to the point i was near replacement, lessened to such a degree that i had no pain standing and minimal walking. I can do so many more things, including working out again. Ribeyes every night! They do not always sound good in the morning, but by evening, 😋.

I have been on a proton pump inhibitor for about twelve years for gerd and chronic gastritis…have tried to wean off without any success..the pain gets unbearable. I’m on my second day of the carnivore diet,so far, not hungry at all. I Leo have a large hiatal hernia,so I can’t eat a lot at a time. I’ve gained about forty pounds since we brought home our grandson at four days old..wasn’t able to do my daily walks, etc…plus as much as I love him,it was a bit depressing after raising four ..but his parents were both very mentally ill..I consoled myself with ice cream….lots of it! I’m 74..just so tired of being tired! Praying that this will work for me!

I have (had) RA too and transitioned slowly from vegan to carnivore, but since going full carnivore have been able to put RA into full remission got off biologic medication and am totally symptom free with no signs of inflammation in my most recent bloodwork! Best of luck to you in kicking RA's butt! For me the key to avoiding cravings and overeating was to completely eliminate ALL forms of sugars (and this includes all the words that end with the letters "ose", so maybe cut the berries (fructose), any dairy with lactose, hidden sugars in things like bacon as I find even the tiniest amount of sugar in any form just makes me feel hungry all the time, but just protein and lots of animal fats turns those hunger signals way down! 🥩🥚💧 😍

@@Marigold-ip3gw I didn't say he was carnivore, did I? I was simply stating what he labels his style of eating.
