One of this guys videos saved my life. I had runaway blood pressure problems that is inherent in my family. Both my father and sister had aneurysms due to radically high blood pressure in their mid forties. Only a few weeks in from following a low carb diet my readings dropped from 180 over 120 to roughly 120 over 80. The many other health benefits were a bonus too. I'm forever grateful for the insight of this man.

@@RibeyeRules Your mention of "carnivore" does not go without appreciation. I have experimented with that too and found further benifit with gut health along with maintaining all the keto benifits. All the anecdotal evidence regarding carnivore I've seen points to it being an extremely easy way to eat healthy. That said, I do wonder that we may have lost nuance with regards to the possibility of plant based medicinal benifits. "More" with plant based diets looks to be detrimental to vitality, particularly over long periods of time but subtle understanding of our individual state of health from intuition we've long forgotten might motivate us to exploit the micro nutrients plants can offer when the need arises. The type of thinking that bought about veganism is not so different than what is manifest in a commitment to carnivore. Our ability to use intuition to navigate a more complex environment seems to have been replaced with dogmatic "left hemisphere" thinking reminiscent of what the Psychiatrist Iain McGillchrist wrote about in his book. "The Master and his Emissary" Make of that as you will. My experience with carnivore has been nothing but stellar but I'm trying to keep open to the possibility of healing cartilage teeth and bones and it may be that some plants might be vital to unlocking those benifits for me.

So you either work it out for yourself (like I did with GP's calling me ridiculous as my hba1c was 'ok'), or you wait until you get a referral to secondary care for more serious issues. Finally validated by the low carb GP at my surgery, after I had reduced my weight, lost the skin tags and killed the recurrent toe nail fungus .

To trim and firm the belly, place a kitchen chair or other knee-high, to lower thigh-high object, across the doorway to a room you enter and exit frequently. The act of fully stepping over the chair activating several muscle groups works wonders. This bit of information came to me first through experience, trying to keep kittens in my bedroom without locking in the mother too. I noticed a firming of both my belly and my buttocks, even my upper thighs. Then my mom and her mom (granny) informed me that they got the same result using the kitchen chair across the door to keep toddlers in the room they were working in, making them easier to keep an eye on. I was using a gate, because the kittens would just slip through the bars of a chair. --Evelyn Mitchell
