I'm working on the purification of my heart. This lecture was in fact very informative and the speaker was being herself. I had no right to say those harsh words. @@sayeedshakuli1428 I will stop you right there and spell it out for you seeing as you lack education. This video's topic is about women and women issues. Not men. So please, stop crying. If you want to address men's issues there is another place for it. Go do that there. Despite you being in denial for whatever delusional reason. Let me enlighten you. Men have terrible attitude towards women. This is not just an opinion. There are plenty of facts and evidence to support this. Look at the statistics and data. Domestic violence, rape, men preying on women's vulnerability for their sexual needs, viewing women as objects and all types of assaults in between. There are some women who do this BUT the level of men who do this is much much higher compared to women who do this to men. So of course we should address men on this issue as men also has the ability to influence other men easily. Not women. Besides a real man takes responsibility and accountability to better himself and to treat women with respect and dignity. A real man don't react like you by being so fragile and upset about the words of another woman who made a factual statement that you have to get so defensive and retaliate. When it comes to the attitude of women towards men, you're talking about a very small group of women who do this, compared to the majority of men who do this. Men have been on the wrong side for a long time and unless you acknowledge and realise that you will forever be uneducated, selfish, fragile and weak. So thank you for proving to us all that you're the opposite of a man. Whining and crying about a legitimate issue. Instead of opening up a conversation, you come in upset, a heart full of hate and bitterness. I know you probably have issues with your mum that's why you have such a problem with women expressing themselves. I hope you grow up some day and find the peace in your heart to see and treat women with the respect they deserve. Otherwise I feel extremely sorry for whoever woman ends up with you. May God be with them.

I'm gonna teach you all something which will the help you if you follow my instructions. *Translation*- is the process of expressing a word or text from one language to another. For example, *bueno* in spanish means *good* in english and *جيد* in arabic. Now, the quran teaches that *allah taught adam and adam named everything* (Quran 2:31), which means that all the knowledge that we have came from allah. The quran also teaches that allah revealed -^the torah^- to the Jews but the Jews corrupted it by translation and for this reason will they burn in hell-》he then revealed -^The New testament^- to the rest of the later prophets but they did the same》so, he revealed -^the quran^-to muhammad. This shows allah moving from (judaism-》christianity-》islam). Now this leaves alot of quran readers baffled with one (1) question.....if translation currupts a message, Why did he create the world into different languages???.....No one has an explanation. futhermore, the quran also is available in English Spanish, French, etc, which means that the it is also translated and this makes it very safe to say that all the current and future religions in the world are created by this being. In addition, this being is know by many names in these religion such as allah, trinity, buddha, etc. The aim of this not to criticize anyone or turn you into an atheist, but to help you to understand that religion was created by a killer with the sole aim to us and not GOD. *Worship* means to give your attention to something or someone. The term *GOD* means something or someone that is being worshipped. Why?....because this being can save your life, hence earning the name GOD and making him the one and true savior. Now, there is a savior who's trying to save you from something, which means that there is also a killer out there. First, let's identify the savior. So anything that keeps you out of the grave is the savior such as: 1. Eating healthy 2. No killing 3. No stealing 4. Worshipping no other gods 5. Loving everyone like how you love yourself 6. Dressing with modesty (no form of attention) 7. No form of hairstyles There are alot more but to love God with all your soul, and love your neighbors, hangs all the rest of the laws and righteous men and women. the one thing they all have in common is *LOVE *, so its clear that Love is GOD and that he is around you knocking on the doors of your heart. NB# you're not connected to love through feelings but through faith (decision). Now, to identify evil. Anything that puts you in the grave is a killer such as: 1. Not eating healthy 2. Addiction 3. Force (forcing you to do something that you refuse to do) 4. Killing 5. Stealing 6. Non-modest dressing 7. Religion Totally the opposite of the Love. He demands worshipped by any means necessary. NB# we got our feelings to enjoy life but evil bends our feelings and uses them against us. Who am I to teach you this?....i am a human and I met with God and he taught me the whole game. Example, the bible is not a religious book, it was drawn into religion by the romans (now known as Catholics). The scriptures are being bent by fake pastors which will lead many astray (believing that GOD is a trinity and not the commandments). Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc, doesn't know LOVE (GOD), hence they cannot save you, only LOVE. The end is near, after vaccination, the vaccinated will start to hunt and kill the unvaccinated; if you've took the vaccine, seek a herbal doctor for instructions on how to flush your system before it's too late and start to live in LOVE. All this will shortly come to pass just follow my instructions and you'll personally witness all this. When you die, your knowledge, remembrance, actions, etc, seizes; you don't even know that you're dead because there's no knowledge in the grave. Your achievements in life remain but your actions follow you, your body returns to the dust and your actions await the judgment. Only if you've lived in LOVE, will you make it through;therefore, follow the laws, stay safe my friend, peace.

Quite an interesting topic and cool to see someone read the Quran in a fresh way with a new focus. Though I was struck when she said that God doesn't focus on women's appearances in the Quran, I immediately thought of the depiction of houris. It would have been great to see her bring this into the topic and the verses like women sometimes being temptations or opponents like Job's wife, Noah's wife and Lot's wife. I also think about women and children being called the beauty of this world. But mashallah, really blew my mind on how she connected ants with the queen of Sheba.
@xxkhxdijxxx7182 жыл бұрын
The houries (maidens) in the Qur’an are not human beings - they are a creation of Allah built solely for the Muslim male believers in Paradise. Because they are not human, they did not go through the test of this world as Muslim women are going through, and therefore will never reach the status of our Muslim women. On a side note, just as houris are a separate creation built just for Paradise, this doesn’t mean that there are a lack of male partners in Paradise for the believing Muslim women of this world. In Islam, whether you are male or female, every pious believer who enters Paradise will get everything their desire - for men this may be beautiful partners, and for some men it may not be. For some women this will mean beautiful male partners, and for some women it may not be. On the other note, about women sometimes being temptations - that is a small minority of women who do not represent the majority of pious Muslim women, and those women (like Lot’s wife, etc) are deemed as temptations not because of their femininity, but because of their character, which therefore stains every other part of them. As Allah says in the Qur’an, there are good women and there are bad women - just as there are good men and bad men. As for women and children being the beauty of the world, it is not meant as an objectifying compliment that comments on the physical aspect of outer appearance and attractiveness - but rather a focus on the inner beauty and the beautiful spirituality of women and of the purity and innocence of children. Beauty doesn’t just refer to outer, physical beauty (which in todays society is commonly used to objectify or sexualise women) - beauty also refers to the inner, emotional and spiritual aspect. Allah (s.w.t) refers to Himself as beautiful - it is one of His 99 names - and surely His beauty is not just restricted in terms of the outer, physical nature, but also in terms of inner and spiritual beauty. I believe my religion to be perfect and certainly not a misogynistic religion, and so I hope this provided some clarity for you. Have a nice day.

A lot of interesting things to think about. I did not listen to the entire lecture yet but I think it's interesting how Dr Celene mentions around 39 minutes that a community khutbah much more often seems to talk about men instead of women and how that should be addressed, but a few minutes before that she mentions the Quran talking directly to men but revealing info to women intuitively. Perhaps her ideas here are connected (but I'm surprised she did not link her own ideas here) and men need the direct conversation more whereas women are intuitively more aware of things, even when it comes to current communities?
@ZM-et7zt2 жыл бұрын
In traditional language, the male case of words was also the general case. So you can specify when it's just men you're addressing but otherwise the message is for all people. In the modern day and in english, that is not the case. Women these days feel left out because the general case is openly including both genders not inference.

@Z M oh that's true, good point, I actually forgot about that. Sometimes I cannot follow the more "modern" trains of thought. For example, some people think if you were to say "mankind", that you are excluding women. Now I'm wondering if that's what she was partially referring to...? Regardless, I do personally think women tend to be better with intuition whereas men tend to be better with reason. Of course some people are outliers...

Birthing, carrying, supporting, nourishing, forbearing- these are all experiences which mould the female archetypes of the Quran- furthermore through comparison and contrast with men, the Quranic discourse allows us to visualize and therefore begin to realize the kind of human being our Creator wants us to be, for our own individual and collective interest, while submitting and worshipping our Lord. Islam, submission, is primarily, primordially to God- but it's also to our overriding benefit, to the best possible affairs we can achieve as flawed, mortal, created beings made up of flesh, blood and whim. The whole idea of redemption and entrance into Jannah through the Mercy of her Allah, shows to me that she is an individual no different than any other creation , man or child. He said "for those who used to worship Muhammad, Muhammad is Dead. For those who learn from Muhmmad the way to worship Allah, Allah is always alive. There is not a single word recorded in the history of Islam that indicates that after the death of Muhammad Rasullulah people were coming to his grave and asking any kind of their needs or interceptions Allah (Azzawajal) is closer than the vein of your neck to you. Even if you are next to the grave of Muhammad Rasullula his body can never be closer than the veins in your neck to you. Muhammad is Dead. Allah dies not. @@theastronomer5800 the words in the Qur'an have never changed. The only thing that varies is the English translation because English is such an interior language to Arabic, that it cannot encompass what the verse is saying with the same number of words. It's not a one word for one word translation which is why it's so difficult. For example there's 17 or more words for love in Arabic that specify different types of love while only one word for it in English. This is true for much of the language which makes translating hard. The Arabic however has never been changed unlike any other ancient text. Nice try though Mr. Astronomer. If you're so into astronomy you should understand the Islamic contribution to the astrological sciences. Almost every significant star in the sky has an Arabic name, ever wondered why. Do your homework buddy
@theastronomer58003 жыл бұрын
@@anklebreaka03 First, there is no such things as "astrological sciences", astrology is a pseudo science. Can you please tell me what contributions Muslims have made, what discovery or astronomical model they came up with, because I am not aware of any. Measuring positions of stars and naming them is not a real contribution because it doesn't explain anything. As for the Quran never changing, I don't think you have read your own sources. There are many sahih hadiths that talk of verses missing, for example when people died at the Battle of Yamama, some knew verses that others didn't. Eg: ’Ibn Umar al-Khattab explicitly admits, "Let no one of you say that he has acquired the entire Qur’an for how does he know that it is all? Much of the Qur’an has been lost, thus let him say, ‘I have acquired of it what is available"’ (Suyuti: Itqan, part 3, page 72). There were verses eaten by a sheep which are not in the Quran, and the Quran that Uthman compiled differed from those that Muhammad's closest companions had differed, and they disagreed on it. Today there are over 30 printed Qurans (far more than the 7, 10 or 14 recitations that were canonized over the ages). These have some differences in the rasm, so they contain different words and meaning in Arabic. There are also countless textual variants in ancient manuscripts, so, interestingly, the Quran was not copied word for word and mistakes were made, here is just one example, by Dr. Brubaker, who has documented thousands of variants: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fp64dqiYZrRofLc Why did Uthman have to collect the Quran, and burn all previous versions, if it was always perfectly preserved? muflihun.com/bukhari/61/510 Here are some other hadiths that talk of missing verses: muflihun.com/muslim/5/2286 muflihun.com/tirmidhi/46/3104 sunnah.com/urn/1262630 No serious scholar accepts that the Quran has been perfectly preserved, given what the Islamic sources say on the topic.

A woman can work and can assist on all whays mentioned above but she don't have to (not her respinsibility) its something she do purely out of good will. 2. A woman must have her husband permission yes, because he need to know where she is going in case of something happened, as some movements like feminism or human rights will tell you, women usually tend to be harrassed or even harmed outside so its only logical for the woman to have her husband permission. With some exceptions like going to her woek, visiting family, or something dire like hkspital. If you are well versed in anything ranging between islamic scrioture or even the biographies of prophets and their companions, you would know that even they (men) tend to have the agreement of theor spouses when they are going outside (again with the exception of necessities) otherwise leaving the house while the wife is upset is one of the major factors for Allah's wrath and cease of blessing and fortune. 3. Yes a man inherit whats 2 women equal, but jer is the difference, A man MUST spend this "2 times more than women" inheritence on family and life needs or debts and other necessities which in many cases leaves nothing for the man to indulge him self in. However women have all the right to keep their "twice less than a man inheritence" and she have the right to refuse to give a way even a penny. @@mmmmmm7143 You’re making it seem like the only right men have is to provide for the family and get nothing in return. You’re missing out a very big part which is that men are the leaders of the household and the wife must obey him. Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his Tafseer (1/363): “The phrase ‘but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them’ means that they are superior in physical nature, attitude, status, obedience to the commands of Allaah, spending, taking care of interests, and virtue, in this world and in the Hereafter, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to EXCEL the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means’ [al-Nisa’4:34].” End quote. He also said (1/653): “Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women’ meaning that men are in charge of women, i.e., they are their leaders, who rule over them and discipline them if they go astray. ‘because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other’ means, because men are superior to women, and men are better than women. Hence Prophethood was given to men only, as is the highest position of authority, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people will ever succeed who appoint a woman as their ruler.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari from the hadeeth of ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Abi Bakr from his father. The same applies to the position of judge or other positions of leadership.

Thank you for presenting this perspective. May I suggest two things: 1.that there is an allusion to the old woman in Surah Nahl verse 92 to be read from perhaps verse number 90 to 97, she works the entire with ghazal and then undoes it towards the evening, likening her way with people who fail to keep their coventants or contracts or promises. The passage emphasises on the value of keeping covenants and not breaking them in order to lead Hayatin Tayyibatin, clean, pure life, which is the major thene of this Surah. I would rewuest sister Celene Ibrahim to see if she can include this lady of16.92 in her corpus of ladies, women in the Quran. 2. I would also suggest that the Queen Ant Namlat and Queen Of Saba (Yemen) are leaders who care about preservation of life, presetvation of their communities, Ummam, females, as procreators of life, as against males who aspire for glory in wars and destruction. Queen of Saba is the wisest ruler as she tells her courtiers that if Mulook enter any Qariyah, they do nothing but bring about destruction in the land and bring dishonour to those who are noble and bring up the ignoble to rule the world. Thanks for stirring up thoughts Muhamnad Umar Chand
