This is a great interview. In 1995 i sufferred a compound fracture of the calcanius when I was hit by a drunk driver on my to a pro hockey tryout in Columbus, OH. I was told at the time, by one of the most prominent foot docs (Dr. Thomas Lee), that I would probably never skate again and this was the worst fracture that he had ever seen. For 20 years I believed this. It wasn't until I started using BFR (specifically Kaatsu) in conjuction with foot and ankle exercises that she describes that I feel confident on my skates again. The past injury does limit me but not as bad as one might think. I combined her methods, BFR with red light therapy and my life has truly changed. Keep up the great videos.

I have been diagnosed with peroneal tendinosis due to wearing flat shoes and going barefoot for years.How are zero drop and flexible shoes good for me if that is what caused my condition?

Are orthotics good for alignment?
@RobTrainSystems2 ай бұрын
It’s really situation dependent. The right orthotic can make a huge difference on how you move and feel. However, the wrong orthotic can put you in a bad position, and potentially make issues even worse.

What are shoes like in other countries? Are we the only country where they f-ed up our feet and posture? I grew up wearing payless shoesource shoes. They were the worst.

Lots of terminology but showing "foot" issues with finger just did not do it for me. This would have been useful it it had examples using feet, not just talking heads and hands.

I think she is mispronouncing the word "eccentric" as "e-centric" or am I misunderstanding something here?
@zack_1207 ай бұрын
27:17- That illustrates he has an old mentality himself that is unable to evolve with time. But anyway this foot Dr. here has a beautiful verbal expression, with full, clear pronunciation of every letter

Courtney is so interesting and inspiring. I saw her on Dhru's podcast and the two together made it awsome. However Mike Robertson is so flat and basically dull. Sorry but you need to up your game if you want more subscribers.
