Good Morning Danica. I enjoyed this podcast as Dr. Amen definitely knows his stuff. i've been fascinated with how many people in Society feel out of place, lack purpose, are miserable in their jobs etc. If Dr. Amen's "brain type" classification is accurate WOW what it could do to guide these misguided people. It will stir the pot a bit to say that the Education system is horrible at preparing society for a vocation since it's a one size fits all approach. Thanks Rockefeller :( . Society doesn't provide much in the way of outlet for our Hunter/Gatherer physiology and mind set. Yes, we are evolving but I like to call it adapting, however modern society forces our physical bodies into atrophy and our brains to get over stimulated and processed foods poor fuel on the fire. Geeez I can ponder this and all of your podcasts for hours.... thanks for the causing sparks to fly between my ears. I am, we all are, better after each of your conversations and questions.

Wow, I have have multiple concussions and suffered an abusive relationship in my teens with someone who enjoyed hitting me in the head. I also had syncope from low blood pressure and have lots of low blood flow "issues" now. I am going to learn now, from Dr Amen on how to help myself. Even if its many years later, I still want better health and long term brain health...wow. Thanks for this Danica.

The more honest conversations I listen to, the more solid interviews with smart people, the better my brain gets at picking out useful tools. This show, Lex, Rogan, all the other hundred thousand geniuses laboring with great intentions to spread knowledge & to enable wisdom - this wave feels like an emergent thing. Surf's up. Thanks, everyone. Positive waves.

Danica you nailed it again with a timely interview. My son has a similar vision of collapsing previous stigmas surrounding mental health. I want to support him 100% with his unique idea to empower those experiencing depression and anxiety. I would love it if he could attend the conference with Dr Amen in December. I don’t know if it’s for the general public and will google the info… but if you have the details to share that would be great as well. I’ve been a fan of Dr Amen for 25 years. He helped my ex husband and step son., And I know he’s a master in the field, so am completely on board with this “revolution” he speaks of. Also a side note: I love that the brain “washes” itself when we sleep. Something about this description helped me get ready for bed much earlier tonight because I see the need tor sleep and viewing it as “ a priority so the cleaning crew can do it’s job!” Adrianna Huffington was part of a sleep study that helps enforce this information… I think you would love interviewing her as well. ( maybe you already have) Thanks for the info here! So thankful I came across your channel … I’ve been binge watching your content and it has proven to be extremely valuable and informative! 🥰👌🙏💫

Hi Danica, I have been into motor racing for some years (Sportscar Prototypes) and have recently seen you in F1 too commentating, but I never knew you had such a KZbin Channel with such great content, it is definitely a pleasure to see this other side of you. I too am very interested in these topics and do a lot of self evolving practices and learning of ones self through an array of psychological analyses and dietary changes. Keep up the great work 🙂 Simon from Australia. Subscribed !!!!!!

Excellent interview. Don’t agree with his diet plan but I’m curious about his supplement pushing. One really doesn’t know what they’re missing so you don’t know what to take. It would take an extensive blood work up to figure out what you’re lacking

Maybe a next step would be for Dr. Amen to do scans on some of your previous guests like Satguru and Michael A. Singer! Society is slowly shifting from a focus on illness and how to prevent it, to a focus on how to be healthy and happy. You are one of those asking the questions of the people who know the answers!

Re: Danica’s courage. I think it’s important to let children do things that we may deem dangerous. Of course, supervise them closely. Let them climb that tree, use a sharp knife to cut their food, let them cast a fishing line. Stop telling them what could go wrong. Results: confident, brave, problem solving teenagers and then adults.

Danica, this was an absolutely fascinating discussion. It would be great if you could have a podcast with someone who is an expert relative to the relationship between both brain and mind. By "mind" I mean the existence of an intelligence outside the physical body (some would refer to this as the soul). Having researched "Cloud Computing" as a part of my career," I believe it provides a great but simple analogy to "Mind," when applied to the mapping applications now in most new vehicles (e.g., Google Maps which gives incredibly accurate turn-by-turn instructions to a driver). I could create a route from my house near Chicago to San Diago with extraordinary continuous details throughout the trip. The processor in the auto navigation system, iPhone, or whatever device, is an absolute technological wonder, which could be analogous to the brain. As extraordinary as the processor is, there could not possibly be enough on-board memory to hold all of the required information (geolocation of ~4 million miles of roads or over 8 million "lane" miles, stop lights, stop signs, speed limits, construction slow-downs, etc., etc.). This is where the Cloud (countless globally interconnected servers, wirelessly connected to the vehicle's navigation system) is necessary to continuously exchange necessary data to support the on-board processor. In a similar way I believe there is a continuous exchange between the brain and the "Mind" as we live our lives each day. The brain's vast ability to control/coordinate the unbelievable number of bodily processes is beyond comprehension, yet I believe we each have an intelligence (some would call our "soul") that is constantly able to communicate with our brain (to varying degrees). Our "soul" would also be a part of an infinite universal intelligence. Sorry about my long-winded discussion, but this is an area in which I have long been searching for answers (some would call this the search for "enlightenment").

Dr. Amen should get together with the Heart Math Institute, they have measured the heart's energy and it's 10 times more powerful than the human brain. The soul is just above the heart as noted in many ancient cultures. Unfortunately, most people have a block (emotional). around their hearts. The brain ( nervous system) is guided by the heart, an open heart equals a better life.
@tipsyrobot69232 жыл бұрын
Loving the content, even if I don't agree with all of it. It's great to see women taking part of this space that's generally occupied by a million British yoududes 🤣 Disagreement point: The brain is the not the most sophisticated machine in the Universe, it's most sophisticated machine in the KNOWN Universe, which of course leaves a lot of room out there.

You’re 68. Stop saying old. Let’s change that too bc people have an ageism thing with older people. I adore them and learn from older people. So. Along with changing the term and stigma for mental illness let’s work on the ageism too. 68 is fantastic. You’re brilliant.
