I do think when you enter yourself in different environments you're more than likely to attract what you are (confident, healthy, etc.) But it doesn't stop the wrong men from showing interest at all but instead you yourself look for better instead. A respectable man ("High quality" men) isn't going to approach a woman who doesn't respect herself is more along the right answer I think

Word in due season,this just gave me the courage to send a guy a message telling him I'm ending our "relationship" as I don't feel pursued, wanted, appreciated, honored by him, he doesn't keep his word in small things, like when he says I'll call you later, I'll see you tomorrow, I'll do this I'll do that, doesn't follow up, or even go out of his way to see or be with me. I'm 39 and choose now to wait on and trust God on this one 🙏thank you ladies

Hang in there. I'm also 39, and it's challenging out here in these dating streets. I keep getting approached by the wrong men, but God is slowly turning things around. We just got to continue to seek out God while patiently waiting (I know it's hard) because he knows the best timing for us. My prayers to you on this journey, my sister in Christ ❤️.

I literally just had to do the exact same thing because I felt exactly how you were feeling. It wasn't easy. However, I know I made the right decision. As DJackson said, it's not easy, but I believe having someone that you can confide in to help keep you grounded during the waiting has definitely helped me. This was excruciatingly hard to watch. I pray daily for God to help me to wait well. I’m 56, never married, with no kids. Over the last 3 years, I’ve lost both parents, so I’m alone and very lonely. I’ve never, ever wanted to be single, never wanted to be a “career woman,” and didn’t “put off” getting married. I’ve been a lifelong Christian and have been praying for a husband for 40 years. It’s hard to hold onto hope that it will happen. Right now, I just really need to be encouraged.

I m so grateful when a pastor I've never met before looked at me and said God want you to seek him and to stop sleeping with that man that he didn't choose for you. Jesus, hear my prayers these past three years have been difficult on me I am weak. Give me guidance. Please come back soon I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Lord heal me. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Its been 10 years that Ive been single, 8 of celibacy. I am grateful for the season that God has me in, as He has been so faithful, I don’t take this for granted. It took this time for Him to strip me from the worldly residue that came with my past. Just as Sister Debbie stated in the snippet, we attract those who match our current health status. We have to do the work, allow God to heal us and we will get to a place of freedom that feels so good. I believe that God is orchestrating my future marriage, and I will remain both prayerful and being proactive while I wait. It can be hard at times but God offers us His Grace to sustain us. Just remember this one rule when dating, Godly Men will lead you to JESUS, Not the bedroom. I've seen this happen in one friends life. She compromises to keep a man, then down the road, he leaves, or gets married to another. She feels hurt and used. Sex is for marriage only. God says it plain. My feeling is if a man tries and doesn't respect my belief, he's not worth having. He's not God's man for you. Don't create soul ties with anyone but your next husband or wife.
