As a parent, this is one of those nightmares that you hope you can protect your child from. For an adult man in a position of power, which he clearly was, to behave this way is disgusting. He says 'no crimes were committed' bullsh*t. He was sexting a minor. He's a bloody adult, married, parent. Twitch should've sent this to law enforcement. I don't know the case, or the people involved. However, I will say this. The age of consent here, in the UK is 16. But as a 52 year old man, I would see that 16 year old as a child. Hell, I would see anyone under 30 as out of bounds. Not to mention, I'm very happily married with kids myself. Even if I weren't, then I still wouldn't entertain it. My brain would be constantly telling me, this is morally wrong. In that regard, it doesn't matter what the age of consent is, in any country. The point is, his morals and ethics should have kicked in, they didn't and that's dangerous. Who knows where it could lead to.

I saw this come up on another content creator's page that I follow, and though I don't know this guy personally or have any idea about his content just hearing about what he did and his intentions was pretty disturbing. I have never used twitch but once to watch someone that I saw doing a youtube stream, but I hated the ads which are pretty bad because you miss the live content as it is streaming during these times, and I haven't watched anything on twitch since. He said he can talk about the issue, and wrote an essay about it, but he left out a lot of key information that would make him innocent. Why??

Yup. - I didn't sext them - It never got sexual - I didn't know they were a minor - We never tried to meet up - I cut off communication as soon as I learned their age - They lied to me about their age - I wasn't trying to solicit them for sex - We only talked once and I shut the conversation down - It's all a lie none of it happened Instead he just posts a response that looks like he watched an episode of the Chris Hanson show and say "That's a totally believable argument. I'll post that on Twitter!"

Sexting a minor is wrong. You were about to meet up with them on TwitchCon and I am happy it never came to that. You messed up BIG time and you bring your wife and daughter with this aswell. None of us knows Guy Beahm. Those closest to him certainly don't know him. I can't imagine the betrayal his family must be feeling right now. How many more people has he groomed or had "inappropriate" contact with? I wish his family the best and hope Dr Disrespect gets everything he deserves!

I can see how much this has upset you and others that supported him and can imagine the trauma this must have caused his wife and family and I hope he's never allowed to broadcast on any channel. I was watching video by penguinz0 when the statement of the former Twitch staff member came out, and he was all like: "No, can't believe that, this seems not right. I guess that Doc was in talks with a competiting video streaming service, Twitch got wind of it and banned him, but Doc took them to court, they settled and never talked about it." Then a bit later this "no wrong doing acknowledged" came out which raised more than one red flag. And finally the confessed on addressing a minor in an inappropriate way. And from his choice of words he still doesn't seem to grasp the relevance of what he has done. Aren't there laws that Twitch would have been forced to contact the authorities when they had clear proof of this in their text files? I'm pretty sure that there is in Germany.... if Twitch had withold this information they would have made themselves guilty of deterioration of a criminal offense and possibly even aiding and abetting. With their action, they allowed for more potential victims. Twitch is going downhill so much. penguinz0 commented on a stream by a female streamer; she was wearing a very tight top and string tanga. She had one camera on her face and area... below the throat, and a second behind her desk, right on her lower back area, which was only covered with that small string. Yeah, that's quality content these days. And Doc is still defending himself, he sees himself not as the P-Word. But is he really not? This was one case which got public? Are there more? What would have happened if he had met that child at the convention? That's just so wrong. I honestly wonder if he can be taken legally responsible after these four years have passed; I hope so. Does he really think that he can come back, say sorry and go on playing egoshooters? I don't think so, there is no excuse for this.
