I got chills hearing that he feels his best thing is still in him! Its cool hearing him say that as a music fan... but also as a competitive (tryna be creative) person. Saying "Never be satisfied" in that way hits different to me now.

The Authenticity of NWA's Sound the music was another level. The music actually set the stage for.the lyrics, it was simply incredible. It was like a movie so vivid videos were not necessary, the story telling and the atmosphere of the music was perfect. I really think in many ways it was a high water mark a pinnacle perhaps can never be beaten, doesn't matter about the kit, new studio equipment, newer drum machines, or stronger cables, better mics, it was fate, god's moving pieces in tandem for perfect results.

Dr. Dre is the He is one of the main reasons I fell in love with rap music and recently starting to produce. And to answer your question at the end of the video, Keep Their Heads Ringin' is timeless to me.

One of the goats but he mostly fell off after 96 imo tho I did like 2 songs off Chronic2001. There's a few different goats of different eras for each coast or major hip hop area , (and no most beats he made for Eminem were trash that was no longer golden age dre). Keep Their Heads Ringin is timeless.

Dre just revealed the secret to making good music… it’s gotta make you feel something. The fact that he’s been in the game for 38 years is wild 😮 Also Kendrick saying he gets a pick outta 400 beats doesn’t sound like exaggerating 😂 You can’t learn when you’re talking is the equivalent of you can’t create when you’re consuming.

@@UncleBenjs Hip Hop production & Rock / live band production are two different things. Generally in Hip Hop when someone says they produced the beat, that implies they crafted the track. When Metallica works with a producer, the band writes & plays all the music, with the producer overseeing the recording process. Yes, it's true you can be a producer, pick out someone else's beats & say you made the beat. It's all business, but also kinda misleading. It's like finding out Eminem writes 1/2 of Jay-Z's rhymes or that your Benz was made in China.

2001 - The Watcher, Eminem - 3 A.M., Compton Soundtrack - Loose Canons, NWA - Strait Out of Compton, The Chronic - The Day The N****z Took Over, are all dope beats, but it would take a minute to really break down my favorite tracks. I know I'm missing some classics, but I always like album cuts better than the radio hits. In my opinion, Compton was one of the best produced albums in 2015, if not the best produced. The way he had the beats switching up on some of the tracks, and the variety of styles on that album, I feel like he did his thing on that one. It seems like a lot of the younger generation that listens to rap now, and the past 10-15 years, don't really appreciate the production of songs like we did when I was young. I think a lot of it has to do with rap going pop, and a lot of the people who listen to it aren't true music lovers. They just like catchy and simple music. As a producer/beat maker, I listen for the little things. A lot of beats now are super boring a repetitive to me. It's like clone wars. I feel like a lot of producer want fame, more than they love music. I would rather be in the cut making beats than walking the red carpet.

Dre's approach is simple: assemble a team of talented individuals-producers, writers, session musicians, etc.-and have the rapper repeat one verse 100 times. After the final mix, he adds a few elements to the song, mixes it again, and takes the whole credit.

Can y’all say “overrated!” The problem I have with Dre is he doesn’t do anything without a collaborative ensemble of 12 other producers/musicians. I know most artist network w someone but Dre hasn’t made shit on HIS OWN in a long time. It’s hard to pin-point what he actually did becuz everything is always a mash-up of EVERYBODY’S work
@ethanscheuer4308
@ethanscheuer4308 Жыл бұрын
Thats what music is all about though, collaboration. You cant have a song without at least 2 notes, just like you can't make unique new music without at least 2 minds. And every producer knows that the end product is what matters, not what goes into it. Hey guess what Hip Hip music is... mashing everyones work together. Thats what DJs did with samples. You wanna pin-point what he did? He became Dr fucking Dre, the man we are all talking about here, and he aint talking about us. Respected by all of his peers, still relevant, and been in the game for over 30 years. Theres your pin-point proof that he himself made something.
