For those of you who don't have two brain cells to rub together, I read your comments in gst. This video and others have been posted with the permission of the copyright holder, Pastor Melissa Scott. If you wish to post the teaching of Dr. Gene Scott I suggest you ask permission instead of stealing, setting up private web pages etc. Did any of you ever consider asking permission? You are cowards and you know it. Classic Dr. Gene Scott 24/7 pastormelissascott.com/dr-scott.shtml

I found Dr. Scott in the early 90's, when I was monitoring an HF radio in the military. When I was supposed to be scanning for foreign signals, many times I would just tune in to him and listen all day.

I remember watching Gene Scott. I was shocked when I saw a man of God up there smoking a cigar and preaching. But it interested me so I continued to watch. One day I decided to call their hotline because they were asking for money and I had a question to ask regarding the Bible. I remember when I called the person who answered the phone literally got mad at me because I didn't call to make a pledge of money I called to ask a question about the Bible. I actually got chewed out by the person on the phone and when I hung up I felt will here's a wolf in sheep's clothing. He may have been a good preacher at one time but oh what the love of money will do.

In all fairness…keep in mind….he didn’t have commercials…he had pledge breaks. His being on tv depended on your money without using advertising. Aggressive perhaps but I’m pretty sure it was stressful trying to keep a show on the air solely depended on its followers. He gave away free literature as well….that cost money. I never donated but was still able to get the free books and or literature he offered. He was genuine and brutally honest. That can come off as harsh to those looking for a Joel Osteen type.

Used to watch him in college, when we got home from the bar, after night court reruns were over. We would call the number, pledge a million dollars, laugh our ass off and hang up. One of my buddies called, and when asked what he wanted to pledge, he stood up, put his hand on his heart and recited the pledge of allegiance. Good times…

I used to watch him in the late 90's when I had a satellite dish...I just came across him one day by chance. At the time I was deep into paganism as was my wife. Dr. Gene Scott saved my life because he reintroduced me to Jesus Christ. Unfortunately my wife did not accept this. Her heart had shut him out because of pride, ego and hedonism so we eventually divorced. He led and inspired me to search out a church that I have now been a member of for over 20 yrs. I am 46 now and have never regretted that decision once.

I began watching Dr. Scott in the late 1970's, over 10 years before I was saved. He was the foundation of my salvation. I am truly sorry about the legal battles you have faced. I am truly amazed at the things you did for him in the last years of his to maintain his legacy. God bless you Melissa, you are indeed a precious soul...

I am very impressed with the work that Melissa Scott has accomplished. You cannot wrong her in the amount of love, thought, and work (yes, and money) that this organizing must have taken. Also, I am sure - because I once volunteered to help with this - that many people have given their time and love to this project. I was turned off by one of the people in charge who was acting in the capacity of "The Church Lady" (SNL) - telling me what was "proper and in keeping with Dr. Scott's work that I could ask," etc." and felt like I was 2 years old! Very off-putting and arrogant. I realized this was the (very) type of person that Dr. Scott always talked against, and stopped before I started. He used to say: 'it's always that type of person who ends up in charge." Well said, Dr. Scott. Too bad, I would have enjoyed helping. All of that being said, I am very glad to see his incredible work preserved, and curious to see how much of it gets air time now. That's a lot of wonderful teaching hours to share; and, unfortunately, many people don't have a lot of money to buy those well-organized sets.

In Dr. Scott's own words he called out for editors, you heard it if you watched the clip. You should watch Doc's Elite Legacy Teaching Archivists kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX6kpXyKl7J7gJY . You will see what has been happening and now the teaching is being digitally remastered. I'm sure she could use some help if you're available, that is unless you are a Patrick Robinson disciple.

Oh .. so that was a dig at me. Well ... I subscribe to a lot of channels ... that doesn't mean I'm in bed with them. I AM interested in subjects that have to do with Dr. Gene Scott. I sure don't like the idea of you acting as the youtube police ! Let me assert that I am entitled to my own opinions and you can make your own conclusions as you wish ... that's your right. I am a Dr. Gene Scott enthusiast ... I'm not going to play the game of Doc vs Melissa because I know all about that game, so please leave me alone and let me love Dr. Gene Scott without all of the current politics.

I disagree! The edits would be unfortunate for the following reason. First, an example in the realm of fiction. The writer of a work of fiction, whether it be in book or motion picture form, will always create a vehicle in the form of a common human story in order to carry the reader or the viewer realistically into the moral of the story. If you care about the characters, then you will care about what happens to them and how that effects the decisions they make. In reality, the vehicle is the person who is delivering information to you. I cared about everything Dr. Gene Scott had to say, from the time I was 12 years old and found him on TV while flipping channels in 1981, BECAUSE of who he was. Without every "off the cuff" remark, and extended period of silence, and every outburst, we lose his passion. His passion is the fuel that lights the fire and powers the vehicle that makes us FEEL what he means! Without that, anyone can do the job. What's the point?
@stacidixon2515
@stacidixon2515 7 жыл бұрын
Your explanation is straight out of the realm of fiction. It was is passion and the love of God that fueled his fire. You can clearly see that here: www.pastormelissascott.com/dr-scott.shtml

Wait! What I shared is a fact about his influence on me, and an opinion on why the edits would be a mistake. Why would you troll your own channel to insult someone who is simply contributing an honest post?

Even Dr. Scott said his messages should be edited. I did provide a link where you can watch Dr. Scott 24/7.

I understand that; that's why I have an opinion, and I happen to disagree with him on that point. We see ourselves conceptually, but it is only through the eyes of others that we see ourselves perceptually. Dr. Scott could not see himself the way anyone and everyone else can. And I'm willing to bet there wasn't but one other person that had the guts to argue with him!

This is kinda weird listening to this. I get the impression that this man has/could have, made a great contribution for the glory of God through a teaching ministry, yet after 9:00 minutes of listening to some quasi sort of sob story, it sounds more like a promotion of the person rather than the desire to bring forth the revelation of Jesus Christ. Does anyone have the right to withhold food for the servant?

OMG...Thank you for this. I remember watching Dr. Gene Scott late nite as a teen when all others went to bed. Not being a follower of any "organized" religion, the times were "70's" not even having a clue of what, why or how his teachings impacted my life other than keeping my faith in GOD alive until I was able and ready to understand. If by no other means keeping me honest, kind, humble and just. I can't even recall his teachings but I do remember his amazing, captivating knack of keeping a teenager like myself from going down the wrong path....Bless his wife who had the foresight to save his teachings that clearly were neglected by others. What a massive undertaking that would have been for all involved. Thank you to all who dedicated the time, money, and resources to preserve his work. I now look forward to researching the seeds this man planted back so many years ago. Thank you God for sending me this, and to whomever was used as a messenger in getting this to me. I humbly thank you... Peace
