I don't know if this was talked about but there is a General incentive via Family court and Government assistance programs to keep Men out of the household. A woman in 2021 who has a "I don't need a man" mentality literally can walk away the moment she is unhappy with the way the relationship is going and use these programs to break up the household. This places a man under the thumb of a woman and government in todays society. What is being done to combat this? Until this is resolved the situation will only get worse.

Haters! He isn’t the exclusive voice for Christianity, he mentions the common theme, of “Life as Suffering” as common to all religions. That was just his upbringing/background. Many judges when he says Christian, anything… He Studies psychology, and archetypes, of religions. Just focus on the psychology part. That said, I focus on what he says about being strong. “Teach your kids Not to be victims, don’t shelter them” bc they will meet the snakes. Let them be aware,” and know how to “chop” them up. Don’t make victims, make Fighters. Because predators look for the docile. As a father of two sons, and a student & teacher of Martial arts for 30 years, I ask you: what is wrong with that?

I think because I have a different vision for my life that he has written off as not possible for women. He pushes that women need to get married and have children to be happy, even women who were at one point high achievers. I disagree with him, women can also be obsessed high achievers and not want children or a family and be happy with their lives. This is why I don't view him as a father figure as many do. I still find him interesting to listen to on many areas but that one area was really off-putting to me.
@girumzemichael7043 жыл бұрын
@@littleripper312 It is not something that Peterson or anyone else needs to “push” that women (and men, humans really, or even animals, natural to plants as well now that we’re here :)) have a ‘need’, deep desire to want to have a family. What was artificially pushed and successfully planted in modern minds (mostly Western minds) is this being put off by nature really. I think and hope you’re young enough to pause and think deeply about this because having been a legal professional and being a mom of two awesome, sweet, brave kids I’m the first to tell people how no distinguished career in the world could even come near to being close to important as to being a mother; nowhere as hard 😉 :), nowhere as meaningful or fulfilling. If the goal is a relationship, we have to be honest with ourselves and reality. I still have not bought into lowering standards though because I think that is not good for anyone. However, you should do the things necessary to make these standards realistic.
@raifthemad3 жыл бұрын
@@ajburns6621 If you have an accurate assessment of your own value, and those standards are in any way tied to reality, sure, but many modern day western women have highly inflated opinion of themselves. Mainly due to online environment, where a man who is just looking for an easy lay, will hit them up, but would never consider them for an actual partner, even if the top 20-30% of women in the world died right now. The amount of average to hambeast level women who feel entitled to men who make 6 figures, are 6 feet etc, the top 5 % of men is just amusing as hell. Especially when you ask them, what will they bring to the table, all they can say is companionship. Jordan clearly has no Idea what he's talking about when it comes to modern dating. Why would he, he's happily married, so he has no idea what a cesspool it is.
@ajburns66213 жыл бұрын
@@raifthemad I agree that the pool is terrible on both sides but I think overall it's not all bad. These average women you speak of having these demands has caused a shift in how men think and I would say has led many men to focus on themselves and do better. That's why I don't really buy into this lowering the standard. If you have a higher standard than your "value" then you are either not going to get what you want or you are going to meet the need of what you want. I say keep the standard high and everyone will be forced to elevate. I also think there are many women out here that will simply live with being single versus not getting what they want and I think there is a narrative that doesn't acknowledge this.

The last 20-25 minutes of this interview is complete gold for men and those buying into the narrative of the manosphere community
@MK-im2oq3 жыл бұрын
I also started to realise the manosphere is very toxic, and now The Roommates is the only channel I watch. They actual gems for healthy people who want and can have healthy relationships. The worst channel of all is the misogynistic Jerry Springer show (you know who I'm talking about). The problem I have with those channels is they see women simply as a subservient role with no individual agency, as opposed to actual beings with different strenghts to men and have a lot to offer. Having a good woman by your side while you conquer the world makes you so much more stronger than you are on your own, and anyone who has had healthy relationships can attest to this. The problem the manosphere suffers is the women they choose. They complain that women are obessed with getting validation from men, but only seek women from industries that will naturally have the highest concentration of that type of woman (e.g. Instagram models, OnlyFans creators, vidoe vixens, etc.), then they get a bunch of confirmation bias and it creates a vicous cycle. They don't date (and cannot attract) the many beautiful women in other industries that tend to be more well rounded (e.g. marketing professionals, sales managers, NGO professionals, etc.).They do not realise that their warped perspective makes it impossible for them to attract or retain the overall best quality women. And by the way (not to sound arrogant but just to cement my point), this is coming from someone who by all definitions generally used would be considered a high value man and do not have any trouble getting attention from women. I work in finance and comfortably earn in the 6 figures, have no kids, have an MBA from an Ivy League school, I'm in good shape, and I'm 6'3 (and since it matters to some people I'm also black). I have a lot of experience with women, and there are PLENTY of amazing women out there if you simply choose better. Women add so much more to your life than just s*x and looks as the manosphere seems to believe. It's not just a coincidence that pretty much every world beater and billionare you ever see was married on their journey to achieving that level of success. How many billionaries or super successful people do you know of that have never been married? Food for thought...
@thellytholdtheathellth52783 жыл бұрын
@ConManliness I think a successful man who's good with women is exactly the type of person to comment on this matter.
@MK-im2oq3 жыл бұрын
@ConManliness because I actually have experience with women. I'm not just talking theoretically based on assumptions I have made. The fact is, the core message of this channel is correct. You do have to put in the work to become the best version of yourself, and you will have more dating options. This applies to both men and women. And once you qualify to have a great partner, you will find that there are plenty of great potential partners available.
@MK-im2oq3 жыл бұрын
@Steven Thompson that's fair. I just hope more people gravitate towards this channel as opposed to some of the other ones. If you buy too much into some of the narratives being spewed I think it can be self sabotaging in the long run.

"Don't underestimate the hole that your absence would leave." That got me to shed some tears due to my current mindset in life. Estimating any hole left by my absence is already an overestimation. I put my finger in a glass of water, stirred it, pulled my finger out, and the water went right back to filling the space my finger had occupied. I am emphatically not indispensible. The benefits of having an active father or father figure is so important in a child's life. Also the statement he made about being honest is so refreshing to hear. I often get people that is amazed about how open I am about myself good and the bad. I try to explain but I think he has given the best explanation of why being honest is so important. I do half my work creatively on a computer, and half with my muscles, blood sweat and tears. The young men I experience in labour work all shine like bright and shiny bulbs with just the least amount of constructive feedback (which isn't always positive, but is always as a man wishing I could speak to my younger self about the pitfalls of my behaviour) humour, honesty, and most of all... love, just a guy who cares. You can't save them all. Thank you for being out here trying your best. I am doing my best to raise a good man. The top down shame approach towards masculinity didn't work for me as a child, I had to find my own way, I was lucky. Not all of my friends are still here, they weren't. Good men are the solution to bad men, bad men are simply broken kids who became broken adults, each one is an opportunity lost. Peace and love.

Not in this current and future Western society, that is idealistic and romantic thinking. Having a marriage and family in the West for a man is like going into a demolition derby race against a bunch of armoured Monster Trucks while you're driving an old banger that has no doors or windshield. Come up against all of the things working against you and you're going to get destroyed at some point. Men should never marry in any society across the world BUT having a family is definitely a possibility in non-Western cultures where a man actually has some authority to compliment his responsibilities.

@Allison Diller Fatherhood with todays Laws is like handing your testicles to your wife and hoping that she never gets angry enough to squeeze her hands. At a moments notice she could take your money, your house and your Children. If she is Crazy (statistically its almost a coin toss) the divorce could be soo ugly that you end up losing custody of your Children and have them grow up having a negative view on you (Because of their mother). Statistically, if you have a daughter, she will have Daddy issues to some degree. In the most extreme case it is possible for her to party and engage in sexual activity at a very very young age (which will be under the Guise of alcohol and at least one of these encounters is likely to be non-consensual). Her mother (being crazy), will have a revolving door of men visit her. One of these men will be abusive (statistically) and a small fraction of the abusive men will touch your daughter inappropriately (1/9 girls ** and 1/53 boys). Depending on how old she is, she will never have a healthy relationship in her adult life. She will either commit suicide, get pregnant early or be pathologically attracted to violent men (due to daddy issues + Possible molestation). One of these violent men will abuse her and possibly kill her/her kids (your grandkids) If you have a son its even worse. He is far more likely to commit crime and be a predatory male. But hey, fatherhood is such "A great adventure right". **(1/9 and 1/52 statistic is for sexual abuse in Children (Probably over-reported but still significant), which is far more likely to occur when Girls are separated from their fathers) If a man reproduces with the wrong woman (Of which I would estimate anywhere from 1/9-1/4 women are) his genetic line will suffer, which is why the manosphere exists to the bane of "Muh Responsibility trad-cons".

@@shawnellemartineaux6212 Annihilated what exactly? Red Pill talking points hold validity, by _data_ , just because JBP exists and speaks doesn't mean that suddenly hes the right and the second coming of Jesus. Him speaking changes nothing about the Red Pill, the female problem is still *_the_* number one problem.

Dr. JP captivates perspective effortlessly. His emotional intelligence is on a different level. The way he articulates common philosophies that are right in front of us daily is uncanny. He's given me a different approach to communication with my own kids. God Bless this man and the utmost congratulations to you for landing such a treasured philosopher on your program.
