Dr Lee is a lovely woman, she actually removed a cyst from my shoulder. Her constantly talking and making you laugh is soothing for the soul. Amazing job and left barely a noticeable scar which was awesome. Great job as always Doc 👌

@@devonkelly44 They only film it when you are a patient that was selected by the show to appear on one of the episodes, if that is the case, your treatment is free of charge. If you are just a regular patient, they don't film it and you have to pay for the treatment.

My Husband has hair that gos down past his bottom I braid it about every three days because we are Bikers and if it's not braided it will get distroyed with tangelos !! He also has a beard and mustache that is 35" long he has not cut any of his facial hair for at least 25 to 30+ yrs it's beautiful 🤩

If the patient agrees to be filmed she doesn't charge them anything. For really serious cases that require coming from far away TLC pays their expenses. How much she can do depends on how many patients she has scheduled. The person scheduling the appointment may not have been told he had so many cysts so didn't block out enough time. Doing something for free doesn't make her a crook.

I love the care and concern that Dr. Lee has for her patients. When she whispers she is caring making sure to check. What I really love is even though the entire sac comes out Dr. Lee checks again before she sews it up. I think that is great. Checking to make sure nothing is left.

It's probably cheaper to travel to Europe and do it there. The cost, including the travel costs, are lower.

I pop them myself. I also remove skin tags and moles myself. Insurance wont cover those but they will pay to treat an infection if I mess it up. I think that's the definition of moral hazard right there. I am very careful to prevent infection, I sterilize everything and never have had a problem. BTW a can of canned air turned upside down will spray very cold liquid. I use that to freeze whatever I am hacking on before going to work. You can still feel it but I try to work quick. The most painful part is going over the wound with a styptic pencil when I am done to stop the bleeding.

@@skisjakk5105 That's just not true, it's not that cheap for a foreigner to get private care, especially if you're paying over £1000 for flights across the ocean, having to apply for a visa for legal entry and hopefully getting accepted and then all other costs like hotels etc. Travel insurance wouldn't work and if you tried it would be fraud and you could face jail time because you knew you had the issue before you entered the country. That hassle is not worth the potentially small saving or no saving at all. Medical tourism is frowned upon.

Oh, my heart aches for him and how his self-confidence plummeted so much that he even stopped doing something (working out at his gym) that seemed to bring him so much pleasure. While it's easy for me to say from the comfort of my living room, I really hope that he realizes he *was* able to continue going forward in his life, regardless of how small his baby steps may have been at times. It may sound cliché, but since he got through that, he can get through almost anything! He seems like such a sweet, old soul, and I hope he has grasped a new outlook going forward from all of the positive comments about him and his gentle nature. I'm a bit sad that he isn't able to 100% fully recapture his former gym-going self immediately after leaving Dr. Lee's office due to covid. But, I have no doubt he will get there! He may have to dip his toe in the pond a time or two first, but this man's zeal for life has been hampened for far, FAR TOO long!! The Absolute Best of Wishes to This Gentle "Giant" of a Gentleman :)❤️

Great video! I'm always astonished at the number of cycts some people have and how that has changed their lives. Before Dr Lee started her KZbin channel, there was not much help for those poor people. In a way Dr Lee has forced other derms to step up and remove them.

It’s sad that depression can affect our rational thoughts. Also that doctors don’t handle things as well as dr Lee. If he had returned to the doctor to remove even just the largest one, I feel like it wouldn’t affect his social anxiety as much. But if the first doctor had handled things better and explained that popping one on his own is what likely made that large scar from the previous removal and he probably would want to return more readily.

It's usually caused by trauma or damage to the sebaceous glands, such as from cuts or surgical wounds. A large cyst may cause pressure and pain👍
