Wow! That actually is quite an improvement. At the end there he really had a regular nose back. I'm really happy for Patrick and am very thankful for people like Dr. Lee. We definitely need more dorctors like her. Heck, I have a condition since April where I get daily bursts of suddenly starting to sweat profusely for no reason or getting a fever for 1 or 2 days and then it's gone just as quickly as it came. My doctor just wanted to give me some hydrocortisone and kick me out the door; even though earlier tests showed that there was nothing wrong with my cortisol levels. I think the problem is physical or some organ not functioning properly so I asked for a CT-scan with contrast but they refuse to give me one. All they give me is generic blood tests even though in our country it's mandatory to have health insurance. Some of these doctors just treat you like a number and don't want to actually find out what the problem is (until it's too late like with my dad who died of pancreatic cancer). I blame insurance companies as they dictate what doctors are allowed to do and don't want to pay for proper procedures or scans; so we just get what's cheapest on the market and get told to take some pills that don't work and would only make things worse long-term. 😒 So I'm glad that we have people like Dr. Lee. That gives me some hope that I might also one day find out what my problem is and hope that it can (still) be treated. 🙂

Awe. Sometimes we know ours bodies best, before doctors. I was sick, back and forth with kidney infections and vomiting. The doctor was sick of me. A year and a half later, I went into septic shock. They finally did a test more advanced and found my kidney was actually blocked and going back up. Big surgery. So just to say, we know we are not well, often before the doctors. Take into account all the fakers out there too. They'll find what's wrong. Take care.

@@marinamartinez6886 Thanks! Currently they have me walking around for 2 weeks with a small glucose meter that's punctured my arm with a tiny little metal sensor which scans my glucose levels throughout the day. So far it doesn't seem to show any issues with my blood sugar levels as they primarily stay in the green zone all day. So we'll see what the doctors say after they've checked the results. I still think they are looking in the wrong area and seem hesitant to just given me a CT scan with contrast fluid of my abdominal region but we'll see... 🙂 At least my own body seems to have been putting up a fight against whatever was causing it as I rarely have these sweat-burst or sudden fever outbreaks these last 2 weeks. Feces color was abnormal at first but is now a regular color too. Guess maybe I can trust my own body more than doctors these days; as they are just sitting there collecting a massive paycheck while sending you off with generic bloodtests that show nothing wrong. 😜

Incredible!! What a drastic difference!! Great work!! This makes me remember my dad who passed away just a couple months ago. His nose was similar to that, but not that extreme. They diagnosed him as having rosacea and had him on medication. I never saw it get a lot better, but it didn't get any worse, either. It just kind of stayed the same. He's always had a big nose. It wasn't bad enough to cause a problem with his breathing through his nose. We had this funny ongoing joke for years about us all sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner, and you could hear his nose whistling while he ate. We were just cracking up and I looked at him and I said, "you'd think with a nose like that you could breathe!" I thought we were all going to choke on our dinner we were laughing so hard. He was a kid at heart and loved to laugh, and he did not take that personally. I really miss his laugh. I really just miss him. 😞👃❤️

I've seen that condition on people many times throughout my life and to know it's that easy for them to get their nose back,is amazing..I always thought it was something people just had to live with..So I'm assuming it's just really expensive or is considered cosmetic and insurance doesn't cover it..

Insurance companies will call it a cosmetic procedure even when literal globs hang off the noses. Dr. Lee has done those procedures.

@Juliet Fischer Although, you can have the doctor write to your insurer for something like this saying it's impeding his breathing and surgery is necessary to correct it. Sometimes, they will cover a cosmetic procedure. I had a septecomy (straightening of my septum), and my insurance covered it because I was getting repeated sinus infections , asthma, and bronchitis attacks.

@@shawnnewell4541 - That the doctor must write a note is a problem. The insurer can still refuse.

@@shawnnewell4541 A deviated septum is usually covered. A septoplasty is a very common surgery. Our ENTs kept us busy on Tuesday and Thursday with them.
