@@shereeevelina1943 very true. I always address my wife as sweetheart, dear, my love, etc as well as our daughters at all times. I hardly ever call them by their government names. I address other men as sir typically older folk as they’ve earned and I too also address women I’m unfamiliar with as ma’am. It’s funny because if you open a door for a woman these days you sometimes get the stink eye as if to say “I don’t need your chauvinistic brute strength to open a door for me. I can do it myself.” Yet if I fail to open a door they say chivalry is dead. Glad my wife is old fashioned like me. It’s one of the many reasons I married her.

@@bfettrules1239 Your wife sounds like a lucky lady! I'm surprised anyone would begrudge someone holding a door for them. Ridiculous. I'm female, and I hold the door for anyone. It's just polite, and it would be rude not to. We taught our sons very early to do it as well. They would get the cutest reactions when, as little boys, they would hold doors open for women. The crummy thing I've noticed is that the older I get, the more often men don't hold the door for me. Now that's just messed up.

@@tmm6884 that hits home to me too, I feel for you. It can be a terrible uphill battle to get anywhere, but do keep trying. It took me changing GP surgeries twice before I finally got someone who listened. In just one appointment I finally got out on repeat pain medication for the first time in my life, and I was offered (I didn't have to beg, the Dr was wonderful and she offered) a referral to a specialised clinic for my condition. The same clinic I have begged other drs, including rheumatologists, to refer me to for over 15 years. Not ashamed to say I cried. Please please keep advocating for yourself x

I have that issue now.. It's been 20yrs and doctors still don't know what is wrong with me.. I just all of a sudden in 2002 I get horrible muscle spasms in my mid to low back. My husband uses his elbow and presses his weight down hard to massage it.. Usually helps for a couple of hours and that's WITH pain medication.. @@tmm6884 It took 25 years for me to receive a tentative diagnosis of a severe head pain condition, only for 2 neurologists to say I couldn't have it because I'm a woman. 🙄 The 2nd one started jabbing me all over my arms, saying it was fibromyalgia. I told my GP about it, and that neurologist was removed. I switched insurance plans, got into a different medical system, where they confirmed the diagnosis (cluster head pain, aka Horton's Neuralgic Cephalgia, that has no cure), and I now receive over 30 Botox injections all over my head and neck every 3 months. They now know that "gulf war illness" as well as other illnesses troops developed after desert storm was caused by exposure to non lethal traces of sarin gas as well as other chemicals and substances used during the conflict. Even if it dissipated the traces still caused severe medical conditions.

It's no different than what happened to Vietnam veterans and civilians who were exposed to agent orange. They seemed fine initially and then suffered a slew of illnesses years later. It got so bad he wasn't able to walk anymore which added a host of other health issues that in turn probably aggravated this situation with his skin. At the end, all it took was someone to look at him, take some time to explain to him how he can take better care of his condition and it vastly improved. How can any society excuse that this man has not seen a doctor that could to that for him? He absolutely needlessly suffered for years. The American healthcare and VA system is absolutely atrocious.

Hyperketatosis in an actual skin condition and it takes more than cleaning yourself vigorously to manage it. Treatments often include AHA, BHA and/or retinoids in order to chemically exfoliate the skin.

Truly how the VA system works. I speak from experience that by the time you undergo double sessions of all sorts of radioactive machines and begin to glow, one may not get a diagnosis at the end. I've heard the word "anomaly " so many times it's ridiculous. But go out of the system for outside help and immediately recieve a diagnosis that makes sense. For yrs many vets can be made to feel crippled in their infirmity. How can so many doctors not know the simplist of treatments or thoroughly research complicated issues, rather many times they resort to pump you with all sort of pills and see which one sticks.. as gineapigs. Why so many vets are also struggling with opioid addiction 😔

Getting older isn't scary honey. I used to think people were old when they turned 40 or 50 when I was young, but I am 61 years young. The veterans of this country deserve the utmost respect and healthcare possible because without them we would already be like Venezuela, Cuba, or China. Freedom comes with a price, but wisdom comes with age. Dr. Lee listened to this man and consulted with other Drs. to see what would be needed for him to get better. I am not in anyway saying anything negative against you, just proud to be at an age where I can tell you that the only thing I would change about aging is thecaches and pains, not the years. Respectfully stated.

@@humansizedbirdnest9435 you are correct. It is considered by us Jews to be a Holy word, and anything we write it on becomes a Holy document, which must be treated with reverence. There are also rules regarding the destruction of any Holy writings which contain His full name. Therefore, we just write it with a hyphen to get around all of that.

Sad the VA couldn't determine a simple container of vasoline and some plastic wrap would do the trick. To those who feel it was a case of poor hygiene. Its not that simple my son has a genetic form of ichthyosis and its a lot of work to keep it under control. Different emollients applied every couple of hours. multiple baths a day, painful exfoliation and bandages changes. Here in this video you have a professional dermatologist and even she didn't know what it was. Added to the fact that treatments vary greatly from person to person. It's a full time job managing ichthyosis.

I believe that he has a fungal infection that has run rampant throughout his entire body. It especially shows up in the toenails.
