Ur an a**hole and are likely a fanook. Why even think about that?... Dr Oz is happily married with kids. And the real-life James Galdolfini was a very quiet and cool guy. Live and let live.

Fatty Foods? How about smoking, alcohol & excessive sugar - combine with increased Fat, will lead to metobolic syndrome - it's NOT just about the FAT, Dr. Oz! Metobolic syndrome is caused by insulin resistance not by eating too much fat.

I worked in cardiology for years.. you don't teach men... you rehabilitate them... the joke in cardiology is you know what a man says when you tell a him to lose weight and exercise and he hasn't had an event.... he says my wife says the same thing and doesn't charge me a hundred bucks....sad...but true
@jamjedi19726 жыл бұрын
I assisted a Cardiologist in a cath lab for 16 years. Still in it, just cant do cases anymore due neck surgery from wearing the lead. Thousands of PCIs, PTCAs and Pacemakers/ICDs. Having a baseline EKG with you would be somewhat helpful I guess. But EKGs wont tell everything, maybe ST seg elevation. Im ranting, guess what Im getting at is. If you know your predisposed- family Hx , poor diet, smoking ect ect. Get checked out. And yes 51 is far from being unheard of. Ive seen 20's year olds with crap arteries, low EFs and valves. Especially diabetics. You really dont know whats, whats till you do a heart cath.

I appreciate both of your comments. So, would it be safe to assume that you're both not fans of the current fad of high-fat ketogenic diets? Or, do you think it works for some and not others? Maybe there are other confounders? Personally, I don't follow that diet myself, but it's quite popular. So, too, is the all-meat "carnivore" diet. One couple I read about has been eating only ribeye steaks and water for 20 years. Both are lean (with the wife losing a lot of weight and reversing several chronic conditions) and they're also raising their two kids on a meat-only diet. Thus far, both kids (about 8 and 10 years old) are completely healthy. I also don't follow this diet, but it's interesting to see throngs of people losing weight, reversing myriad health conditions, and feeling better. No wonder people are confused and don't know to whom to listen.

I disagree about waistline more than half your height as depends on frame size. I have a 47" chest and 36" waist but only 5' 10" and it good shape. Like those BMI charts don't account for large frames.

Technically a heavyweight boxer who is usually an excellent athlete has a high BMI. I don't really pay much attention to it.

Pressure on heart due to weight is the same for anyone regardless of frame size ! Have you ever seen someone over 250 pounds who is 80 years old ? No why do you think that is
@MrPartch2 жыл бұрын
@@ashleymartin6521 because if you are 80 and 250 pounds, most of that weight is probably fat due to heavy muscle loss because of old age. but if you are 40 years old, 6'7" tall and very muscular, you can easily be 250 pounds and fit. you are forgetting that tall people also have bigger hearts! you sound like everyone's heart is the same size lol. the so called "frame size" however is a bit overrated. whenever I hear a short chunky guy go: "I aM nOt Fat..I jUst HavE a LaRge FrAme". i go: alright, let's see your abs
