Yeah, they don't disappoint. It's too bad people are so polarized. I love these interviews where he has people on that he doesn't share political views w/ much at all. I love that at least a small subset of the left is finally getting around to realizing that talking to the other side, both peaceful and impassioned, is the way forward. I'm absolutely loving that Ana Kasparian is doing that now, and has done a brilliant U-turn to the left of center, where I can agree w/ her on a lot of things now.

Even otherwise smart people can have their major blind spots. The dumbest thing he said in this was that Trump is a would be dictator. I hope he listens to Jordan Peterson, who he claims to really admire and had on recently. Peterson was rightly pointing out that a real narcissist would never be rounding up a dream team of super high profile famous and infamous people. That all star team Trump picked of Tulsi Gabard, Elon Musk, RFK and other brilliant people would never be chosen, if Trump needed all the limelight for himself all the time. He sure doesn't mind sharing the spotlight w/ what people are calling a political Avengers dream team.

I had a very small bathroom remodeled but the city needs a diagram of every room even though it was only one small bathroom involved. It also means visits before and after for everything involved Plus it cost big bucks. I'm in a closed community not seen from the street YET the city needed to visit before and after I had new windows installed to legitimize the permits, another cost. Friends are building a home in Glendora and so far paid 80K in permits plus the city requires THEIR people to build their yard the way they want it to look. More costs less freedom.

Nah. I remodeled a whole condo and never pulled a permit. My neighbors and contractors were cool with it. Not sure what your point is. He's merely bitching about doing things above board and the bureaucratic red tape.

@@christinehoff5910 selling a condo you remodeled without permits can be complicated: Disclosure: You're legally required to disclose any unpermitted work to potential buyers. If you don't, you could face legal action from the buyer. Price: You might need to offer a lower price to attract buyers who are willing to take on the risks. Buyer interest: Buyers may be hesitant to purchase a property with unpermitted work, which could limit the number of interested buyers. Financing: Many lenders are reluctant to finance homes with unpermitted work. Safety: Unpermitted work may not meet local building codes, which could pose a safety risk to the occupants. Insurance: Insurance companies may refuse coverage if they deem the property unsafe. If you do plan to sell your condo with unpermitted work, you can get quotes from contractors to estimate the cost of redoing the work with permits. This can help you determine a reasonable price to offer to buyers.

Bill needs to ask questions, and let his guests answer. That’s the way interviews work. It’s a consistent flaw.

Podcasts aren't interviews. They are casual conversations which we are invited to watch. Big difference. If you want interviews, stick to late night tv talk shows. Those are in interview format.

Bill is just so pompous. He is a prime example of what is wrong with the two party system. No matter how many things are going wrong with his party, he’ll never vote against them. It’s like an abusive relationship. He has been hosting republicans for ratings, follows, etc. the last couple of years, and here he is leaning soooooo hard left for Mamala. 🙄

I don’t care for the ease and frequency that Bill Maher talks about masturbation. He doesn’t talk about wiping his ass. He doesn’t talk about cleaning his nose of boogers. He doesn’t talk about sometimes when you cough you get a little bit of snot in your mouth. There’s all kinds of things that people do that are perfectly natural. They are not shameful but perfectly healthy and not good for polite conversation.

Not a huge fan of Bill, but he’s technically a comedian, so I don’t think it’s a problem for him to throw some weird things into the conversation lol.

Do you know that in Project 2025, they want to do away with the Dept. of Education? Also, stop federal funding to schools, which helps fund Special Ed. Programs in Schools. Also, it is to be a way with free lunch. I worked in the school system, and the students who qualified received ed both breakfast and lunch. For some of the students, that is the food they got that day.

You guys should inform yourselves on how much money is already wasted on the department of education, we need to get rid of it and rebuild something better because right now with unions the teachers have no real incentive to give a crap.

@@janner2020we should stop federal funding and get rid of the teachers union, the teachers don’t give a crap because they’re getting paid no matter what and they basically can’t be fired. It’s $20k a year for public schools yet they need more money? It’s less to go to a private or charter school but our taxes are going to failing public schools.
