I can understand the automatic response to feel bad for the parents for having to live with that girl or both those girls acting like that. But the truth is they act like that because they've always been allowed to act like that. This kind of behavior should have been nipped in the bud. You do not have to beat children or abused them to get them to stop that but there must be consequences for actions that's how we learn
@MR-xf8xg
@MR-xf8xg 2 жыл бұрын
Yes. And that is true about most of us. It takes something extra to be able to appreciate what you have by hearing the experiences of others. Most children want what they want and takes good level headed people with good self esteem to say no to kids early on and help the kids regulate their response to no in a respectful manner. Who came up with the idea that being friends is more important that directive parenting? Any parent that allows their child to yell or curse at them even once deserves what they get.
@wontsufferfools9332
@wontsufferfools9332 2 жыл бұрын
Discipline when they are young lasts a lifetime Too many parents have "fuzzy rules". This is unfair to the child. The best thing is give direct, clear rules and stick with them. It's hard to deny your child a fun experience because they broke a rule, but it usually only happens once. Of course they try to push the boundaries, very normal, but "stepping outside the circle" has consequences a parent must stick to. A parent must be consistent or you wind up with things like what that girl is doing. I firmly believe that their are no "bad" children. Only bad parents/parenting

Ted Bundy suffered from antisocial personality disorder, or short, he was a psychopath. Laws and moral didn't mean squat to him, simply because he saw himself superior to them. You are quite right that THAT wasn't his parents fault. This girl, however, hasn't had any consequences to her actions. Which IS her parents responsibility. If she is so out of line that they can't help her themselves, well, then let her go to jail, to juvenile! I'm pretty certain that THAT would make her realize "hmm, perhaps this wasn't the best idea". But by their own admissions, they haven't pressed charges on her because they want her to have a "chance".

Well most families in America are not like this. If I ever spoke to my grandmother that way I would have gotten not only a well deserved smack on the mouth. My aunts and uncles would have tore my behind up. My siblings would have stopped talking to me or a certain amount of time after getting mad at me telling me to shut my mouth. AND IF I BROKE THE LAW LIKE SHE HAS DONE MY MOTHER WOULD HAVE MADE SURE THAT I WAS ARRESTED AND WENT TO JAIL. And no there wasn't any physical punishment in our home. WE JUST KNEW BETTER THAN TO FK UP OR WE WOULD GET IT. My great granny she was and honorary old woman and she would give it to you real quick she never actually hit me or my siblings with that hickory stick but all she had to do was keep it in her hand. We knew that she used it on my father and his brothers and sisters & we didn't want her using it on us. WE WERE TAUGHT TO RESPECT OUR ELDERS AND DO WHAT OUR PARENTS TOLD US TO. When my mom took us to church if we acted up we got a hard pop on the leg or butt .. but that's the only real physical discipline I can remember getting. My mom knew grounding us and taking things from us worked a lot better. Cs not being able to go outside and play with our friends or something else is what upset us. This girl wouldn't make it one day in jail cuz they would look at her pretty face and that smug spoiled puss she has mastered and they would beat her up, &/or some woman wld make her their husband. Yes that happens in county as well, so she wouldn't even need to go to prison to experience that😜🤪

My daughter grew up with good parenting, firm boundaries and discipline. But one day everything was completely flipped. She acted out and we even had to call the police. Come to find out a few months later after we put her in mental health hospital, that she had been raped by boyfriend and he was still controlling her. She finally got away from him emotionally, then became normal again. So sometimes it's not bad parenting but some type emotional trauma.

Why should a child be allowed to hit and throw things at a parent but the parent not be allowed to strike or restrain? This society goes overbaord in trying to correct something like child abuse, by doing the most obvious or extreme remedy, which is seldom what is really needed. THIS is the result. Disgusting. That child needs to be afraid that if she rasises her hand to her father, he would knock her head off. A little respectful fear is good, but then there would be no show.

This is the spoiled child of ineffectual parents, but it’s unnecessary for Phil to show this event. This girl will be reminded of this for the rest of her life. I bet there are episodes of Phil’s life he wouldn’t want shown on national television and KZbin.

My friend was going through this with her daughter and the truth is my friend has been parenting poorly his whole life. Micromanaged from the day she was born and spoken down to her whole life. I don’t blame her daughter for going crazy to find some sense of autonomy. In most of these cases the parents have made too many mistakes.

Yes. And that is true about most of us. It takes something extra to be able to appreciate what you have by hearing the experiences of others. Most children want what they want and takes good level headed people with good self esteem to say no to kids early on and help the kids regulate their response to no in a respectful manner. Who came up with the idea that being friends is more important than directive parenting? Any parent who allows their child to yell or curse at them even once deserves what they get.

My mom would throw me out of her house for yelling like that. My mom would have snatched the charging cord from me and used it to beat me with it. Some parents are afraid of their kids, I believe. But if you're afraid of your child and there's nothing that you can do to get them to behave then put them up for adoption. Children that dont respect their parents, dont deserve parents.

Why she is forced to be there? This is public humiliation. This sensationalist show doesn't look for anyone's well being. This girl definitely needs help. And they are making a program out of this? What kind of sick person will do this? Now I see why she behaved like this parents definitely doesn't have any respect for her or care of her well being. My guess they must be getting some money for being in the show. If you want to help your kid do it privately and avoid the public humiliation.

This man was in the Service, his wife was there most of the time during the early years. I really believe thi wasn't done intentionally but rather due to being overwhelmed and not enough guidance prep. It can be difficult, but as soon as this daughter started to show her attitude and resistance to family orders and disrespect, that is when there should of been therapy for all of them. Nip in the bud right at the start.

This is a typical behavior how my sister was and continued this behavior through adulthood. She never worked one day in her life, was given every bit of money 💰 that was supposed to be for caring for a family of 5. It destroyed the whole family, the other kids moved to the grandparents to get away from the destruction. Eventually my parents passed away and my Mom left the home and everything else only to my spoiled sister. She eventually lost the house due to not being able to pay the taxes. I don't know where she is to this day. I learned very young it was extremely important to work hard and to be independent. I left my Grandmother's house and was working and living on my own at 17. Sadly my parents created all of the destruction by never saying NO to one child and it turned her into a destructive entitled monster. Please teach all your children EQUALLY and consistently at a very young age what NO IS!! Both parents must agree to be consistent about saying NO and starting at a very young age

How the middle daughter threw a major screaming tantrum. That actually reminded me how I got bullied and teased by my little brother. I always hated him. When my parents blamed and found both of us guilty, it made me feel hurt and betrayed. I threw a tantrum the same as Liz did in that clip.
