The Ultimate Scrap Mechanic Survival Food Guide! Learn everything you wanted to know about food in Scrap Mechanic through science and bad puns!

Is the cookbot worth it? That was the question that inspired me to make this video. Everything you need to cook burgers adds up to quite a lot, but is more or less than a burger? What if you make a burger out of burgers? What if you alter reality itself? Would that make the burgers tastier?
Well, I can't answer everything, but I can tell you how long I've had to run Scrap Mechanic in the background to get the results, or how to get food in scrap mechanic. I'm trying to write a good one of these, but I feel like it's going off-topic.
So yeah, there's a lot of food in Scrap Mechanic. There are pizza burgers, veggie burgers, tomatoes, and even humans. Well, you can't eat the latter yet. Theoretically, the burgers/baguette are 660 calories each, as they fill 100 hunger, and 100 hunger lasts for 55 minutes while sprinting, and the average calories burned per minute sprinting is about 12, and 55 * 12 = 660.

Thanks, 00fant has added quite a few food items in his mod. Maybe he will add pancakes one day:) All my videos are 4K because I record in 4K as well. 4K videos even look better in FHD due to something called 'supersampling'. It's a bit of extra work, but if I can't compete with quantity, then I have to compete with quality. I'm also a perfectionist, so why not?

Woc Milk is the best food in the game cause its basically infinite. Just capture 1 Woc in your base, then collect corn for 15 minutes, and u got food for 10 days

One last data point worth comparing is the farming value for the crops involved in each food item. If you've got mini farms, it'll help you gauge how quickly you'll be able to pump them out hassle free. A Pizza Burger requires 2 Potatoes (Harvests 5. So 1.5/5 = 0.3 each) and 2 Tomatoes (1 each), which is a total farming value of 2.6 A Veggie Burger requires 2 Carrots (1 each), 1 Redbeet (1 each), 1 Potato (0.3) and 1 Tomato (1 each) for a total farming value of 4.3 If you have the Steak and Woc Milk laying around, you can certainly pump out more Pizza Burgers. The only remaining question is what the best way is to handle your thirst between burgers? Earlier in the game, Woc Milk is your best bet probably your friend, and since you've already got the stuff, it's not much of a stretch to get the Woc Steak for the Pizza Burger. But once you've got a bigger farm, farming becomes far more convenient than hunting corn and feeding cows.

oh my goodness... now with the addition of the beacon we have actual meters in game right? with that I calculated the height of a mechanic to be around 1.37m tall, it's SO CLOSE to the height you got here from the Woc WOW!

1:30: the problem with measuring it this way is that I doubt that you will be eating the burgers at *exactly* 0 hunger and thrist, you will also probably never have the exact thrist and hunger. In creating the burgers you bind yourself to a item that you will more than likely always be standing to lose the calories you are supposably going to to gain making it, possibly more. It seems like a item you would use in emergency situations.

Great data collection. I have one question remaining, does the increased hydration consumption from running translate directly to distance traveled? If I walk the same distance as running do I burn the same amount, or is it more to run?

Do you get to choose when you pronounce V's as W's, or W's as V's, or is it random? I've noticed that sometimes you pronounce it correctly (W as W and V as V) but you only swap those letters. Is it part of your accent, or is there a different reason?

My equipment keeps breaking for no freaking reason and that wastes my time so extremely much and keeps me from gaining any subs. Also, my teachers decide to give me 5 homeworks in one day and that makes it even harder to concentrate on something else. Not to talk about the burden on my laptop. He has to withstand homework and recording and a game on some days. By the way, I noticed that you are either German or Dutch?! XD

From what I saw it's not bad from what most channels upload first. Well, it's not like my first videos have been great either. You should edit a lot more to keep the pace up. Your commentary isn't that engaging. Either improve that or cut more. And learn to improve your Audio quality with compression, EQ, and stuff, if you haven't already. It says in your about section "If you have absolutely no idea what's going on on my channel, I don't have a clue either.". That's bad. You need some focus on your channel. Yeah, it takes a lot of time. I've been working on my channel at least 20h/week for 5 months now. All in my free time and unpaid so far. Well, I'm not here to be your KZbin adviser. Scrap Mechanics are around 5.5 blocks tall. With four blocks equating to a meter and in-game unit that would mean scrap mechanics are more around 1.375 meters or 137.5 centimeters.... ... The US really needs to switch to metric sometime. That'd be around four and a half feet btw.
