My wife and I went carnivore after being vegan for over ten years. Within a week my 20 plus year old shoulder pain healed completely. My wife started seeing her cycle again. My 9 year old dog had a litter of 4 (eating our table scraps instead of Ol’ Roy.) Meat does the body good!

@mathisnotforthefaintofheart what an absurd takeaway from his comment. People go carnivore because they HAVE tried “balance.” I tried eating a “balanced” plant based diet for years, with some lean meat or eggs a couple times a week. Guess what? My cravings for sugar were always thru the roof, and I never felt satisfied. Plus I was very gassy and bloated from all the lentils and kale I was eating. Eating a diet of 95% meat, eggs and butter has allowed me to lose weight, gain amazing energy, and get rid of my eczema. My home-cooked balanced plant based diet just didn’t do it.

I am MD and I completely agree with "theory" of Robert Kiltz .My intuition , my 20 years of uninterrupted practice and observation , my own experiences from beeing on carnivore diet : they all scream YES: it´s so logical but still novel, it´s breathtaking, it´s medicine shaking ( ! ), it is life transforming, enabling us to fully use our genetic potential, till now supressed by diet and life style, it is opening us a new door to an exciting and better life... I somehow feel, that nutrition and medicine are not the only areas of life, which will be hugely transformed and finally infused with TRUTH ( physics, astronomy, geography...atc.) I am happy and grateful for opportunity to witness it, even it´s going to be turbulent 🙂

Highly enlightening. My son has Wilson’s disease & cannot put on weight. I now understand why after Dr Kiltz discussed the cachexia or muscle wasting seen in liver disease patients. I feed my boy plenty of red meat - steak tartare is his favourite meal - but maybe I need to go full carnivore with him. When I switched him to steak & eggs for brekkie, he grew 4cm in three months. This kickstarted our family on a carnivore journey. My brother & 82-yr-old father are now full carnivore.

Thank you Dr. Chafee for inviting Dr. Robert Klitz to be a guest on your show. I only recently found out about him from another podcast. He has an interesting way of looking at diet and lifestyle. His perspective, as a fertility specialist, gives him a unique insight into how diet effects an aspect of our health that few cover. Allopathic medicine treats so many maladies as isolated problems that are not in any way interconnected with broader health. This is how infertility is treated. Dr. Klitz's description of infertility as a marker for poor overall health is a concept that is hardly ever stated in mainstream medicine. Of course, the cynic in me thinks this is done by design. After all, such a holistic approach would greatly reduce an infertile patient's reliance on the very profitable and enormously expensive fertility treatments.

I really really enjoyed this talk , I learnt quite a lot from here ! It make totally sense that carbs are quickly transformed into fat to be able to be used as energy and they were supposed to just be a fix in case of famine to help us store more fat to go through hard times . I’m not fully convinced about exercising being “bad” but probably because I’m addicted to it and one of the ( many )reasons I decided to go carnivore is because I want to have longevity as an athlete as well in life. The main thing is that when we were hunters we use to walk long distances to find preys Throw rocks , arrows , spears . Lift heavy ( dead animals hunted weren’t light ) Run away from other predators or to push preys into traps! So training in my opinion is nothing else than a replacement of those activities , that make me happy and strong ! In nature the “weakest “ animal is the one that dies first so staying weak is not the best choice !!

Thank you so much, you as well! And yes I agree, it's great to correlate people's experiences and put those in the form of data to look for larger trends, however it comes down to the fact of does it work for you as an individual, or not? You can have all the studies and papers that you want saying that eating a carnivore diet will be bad for your health, and yet when you do it you find that you are in the best health you've ever been in. So obviously something's wrong with the data and study. As Richard Feynman said it doesn't matter how brilliant your theory is and it doesn't matter how smart you are, if it doesn't agree with experiment it's wrong. And they are just wrong.

Great interview as always…. My only pushback with Dr. Kiltz is when he talks about exercise being “dangerous and deadly”. We have more than enough anecdotal and scientific studies that show the numerous benefits of exercise. Without it, most people live a sedentary lifestyle which withers away muscle mass… maybe less or slower if on a carnivore diet. As someone with a heart issue, the most beneficial thing for me to lower blood pressure naturally without meds is cardiovascular exercise. I wish more interviewers would challenge Dr. Kiltz on the topic of exercise since I’ve yet to see any data from him on why it’s “dangerous and deadly” as he stated.

@@Milkywaymike His stated stance might be based on what he may have encountered in his field of specialization, for women that with hormonrelated issues and also women who may want to become pregnant or have had misscarriages? Not sure though but as a advice it sounds just weird, I presume there is some truth to the old saying of "use it or lose it" for both our physical and intellectual/mental capacity even if we eat and are healthy. But it may be sufficient to increase the everyday movement, in many places it could be quicker to bicycle to work instead of sitting stressed in a car in traffic jams (the latter may be a heart health issue in itself, in Sweden they noticed a significant drop in emergency calls in the larger cities when office workers were requested to work from home during covid).

Hi Aura. No you dont need to take any supplements on carnivore, as it's our biologically appropriate diet. I watched a video of Dr. McDougall about what is causing disease and he came to the conclusion that it wasn't glucose toxicity that causes cancer/disease but amino acid toxicity. This is fascinating to hear so many differing views of these biological mechanisms.
@anthonychaffeemd
@anthonychaffeemd 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is interesting where people come to different conclusions from, but there is far far more scientifically robust and peer reviewed data to suggest that carbohydrates are a major contributing factor to cancer than excess amino acids. However glutamine is also something that helps feed cancers, but it's glutamine specifically not other amino acids.

@@energeticsoulhealer888 McDougall is 75 and Chaffee is in his early 40's that's hardly a fair comparison although I get what you mean. My dad is 74 and looks and sounds 20 years younger just by practicing fasting and is far from low-fat plant based. I wasn't inferring McDougall was right I was saying that there are very different arguments going on about biological mechanisms from differing dietary perspectives. I don't follow just carnivores because I don't like the stagnation that happens when following only those who agree with my views. Not that I'm aware of, but perhaps Dr Kiltz knows. My issue with lactose is simply the fact that it's lactose, and will spoke your insulin
@baloosd
@baloosd 2 жыл бұрын
@@anthonychaffeemd but the insulin spike from lactose (unlike from other carbs) is a great tool for growth and does not harm the liver. short term exposure to insulin and IGF-1 stimulates testosterone production, peaking in about 1 hour. this is why i use milk (goat or a-2 cow) as my pre-workout, with great success.
@anthonychaffeemd
@anthonychaffeemd 2 жыл бұрын
@@baloosd I find that I get a drop in energy after the initial BSL spike, as insulin stays up far longer than BSL does unless you keep consuming carbs. If you don't eat any carbs at all, you will make all the blood sugar, glycogen, and ketones you need. And while insulin is does tell your body to store energy, and is considered anabolic, you are storing that energy in fat as well, and locking it in there so that you cannot burn the fat. But insulin doesn't increase IGF-1 however, that comes from human growth hormone, and insulin opposes HGH, this lowering your IGF-1. Food for thought.
