@@LifeTheBasicManual You seem like a Dr who listens to patients. There is a new form of cortisol replacement therapy available with liquid cortisol threw an insulin pump. With the pump you can replicate ones actual cortisol curve and circadian rhythm. The results of this treatment option are incredible. I was bedridden for the past 3 years untill a week ago. Oral cortisol did absolutely nothing for me . There groups of people online advocating for this form of treatment. A group of engineers made a " cortisol curve plotting tool" where you can punch in your millilitres of medication per hour and then shows you your predicted curve. You then program those basal rates into the pump and that's it. Then you can do a 24 urine test and see what your actual curve looks like and tweak it with the basal rates on the pump. Yet hardly any doctors no about this nor will they listen. My doctor say the science behind it immediately and was on board with me. Its changed my life 100 % in a matter of weeks.

@@joshwhitney7463 I am so happy to see someone is better! Thank you for sharing your experience. I was wondering if you showed a abnormal cortisol test or not? All my "basic" panels all show normal. No inflammation, normal cortisol, normal everything except for low vitamin D. Not unusual but I take supplements for vitamin D and other supporting supplements for vitamin D.

Venice 111 I’m into my fifth week and I’ve had problems with it too,my insomnia is off the charts .I think it’s putting a strain on my adrenal glands as well .I’m doing everything I possibly can to correct things ,including drinking electrolyte drinks but to no avail .This diet is not universal for everyone is it and what about the long term effects of ketosis. It’s going to take some time for a picture to emerge from this . Check out Anne Louise Gittleman’s KZbin channel ,She argues that the keto diet is only meant for short term use and could put a strain on the pancreas .Apparently she’s got some ex keto clients coming through now who are complaining of pancreatitis, that’s pretty unsettling.

My CFS seemed to have started around the time last year's flu shot took 7 months, have gone on a serious keto diet with intermittent fasting and my symptoms cleared up - got another flu shot this year...my viral symptoms came back. I've started wondering if there is a connection. Now, the regime had cleared up other issues, (leaky gut, insulin resistance, etc.) but I've been feeling weak, tired ill since the shot. I came across your website, and finally found somebody else who sees a connection between the two...so I will be checking out your videos. Many thanks!

I've experimented with many diets (vegetarian, vegan, raw, Keto, Paleo) and various detox regimens (juice, bone-broth, specific organ cleanses) and, for me, missing the satisfying experience of good bread has always pulled me back into the 'land of carbs and sugar' as you rightly put it. So eager to test if homemade flax 'bread' to see if it solves the missing piece of the puzzle. You are so inspiring! ~ Ziji

I put on weight easily when I eat too many carbs and felt at my best when I was on the Atkins diet, but got scared because of so much negativity about a diet high in animal fat. The oil comment is partly correctly. Oils to use when frying as in sauteing are avacado, coconut and EVO. As long as they are not smoking they will remain stable with coconut being the most stable out of the lot. After smoking they turn to trans fats

The first step in fat digestion is bile, which emulsifies fat (breaks into small particles). Bile is produced by the liver using cholesterol as one of the raw materials. To check if that is your problem, see if you notice any improvement by taking ox bile supplement with fatty meals (perhaps with digestive enzymes). Its a familiar problem to those who had gallbladder removed.

I’ve noticed no benefit whatsoever,I’m packing it in ,it’s killing me.Just a quick check on Dr Eric Berg’s channel under keto insomnia and there’s quite a few people complaining about it. Is this safe for someone with low blood sugar? I've heard that keto and low carb can push people into adrenal fatigue also and as someone with severe M.E. already it's kind of scary to think of possibly getting worse. There's so much conflicting reports, I have no idea what is best. One person says that keto is good, another say it could make it worse. I remember trying low carb/atkins a long time ago and I felt so much worse and gave up after a month, since my energy was so low, felt so faint, but eating lots of fat and protein.

I don't really think you could avoid eventually developing some vitamin deficiencies as a vegan without taking vitamin pills. Most people feel better at first, because the standard American diet is so full of processed food and lacking in fruit & veg. Seeds and nuts still have enough carbs to keep you from going into ketosis, anyway. You can't really live indefinitely off of avocados, coconuts, and olives. Pacific peoples combined the coconut with a lot of fish, some pork, and other tropical plants like breadfruit when available. Vegetarianism, which allows dairy and eggs, would make it a lot more possible to do low carb. www.msn.com/en-gb/news/other/pacific-islander-diet/ar-BBi724f

Martin Davies, make sure you are eating undamaged fats. Any polyunsaturates (ie. veg oils) will be damaged when heated, use only cold pressed in salad dressings etc. They also have shorter shelf life. Use saturated fats for all cooking, but still not to extreme heat. Saturated fats are more stable. Remember Dr Myhill is recommending ancestral style diets. Veg oils (mechanically extracted) are very new invention in evolutionary terms. eg. some olive oil is good for you, so just eat some olives and forget the olive oil.
