Hi Doctor Gundry, I do have a question about broccoli sprout that suppose to be THE product to give us energy, etc. so what to you think about this product? Thanks again for your response. Sylvie
@leahpears20435 жыл бұрын
I did an hair analysis and used the test to eliminate the allergic toxins. Unfortunately, but fortunately, it encompassed, dairy, pork, peanuts, walnuts,soy, corn, eggs, mangos, Shiitake mushroom, wheat, and beer which was my diet. I drastically removed these foods and added a diet of wild caught salmon and organic and cleaned in vinegar salad made up of Dandelions leaves, kale, raw pumpkin/sunflower seeds, red onions, avocado, beet and cilantro with Olive oil, and Coconut amino acid. Melon, grapefruit, grapes and wild blueberries, thoroughly washed in vinegar and salt or turmeric. I added Kelp, Chlorella, Milk Thistle. I cook with Coconut oil. I don't feel as much pain in my joints and breast. Lost 3 pds. A lot of symptoms at first...Body odor, lumps, in arm that I was able to work down into my lympathic system, smell of metal, and head pressure. Because of your content, I made a pumpkin bread with tiger Nut flour, stevia, local honey, coconut oil...no eggs just pure almond milk. So delicious!!!

Hey Dr. Gundry, not so quick question on eliminating out of season fruits, since we have developed as human beings in so much that we can actually evaluate our blood every three months and see what food is doing to us, why don’t we look at fruit as medicine versus candy? I mean, if we can develop something like glyphosate that can permeate 98% of us, then why shouldn’t we look at eating something as powerful as berries every day as medicine (not candy) to counteract that glyphosate, even when it is not in season? Shouldn’t the risk of more sugar be outweighed by the power and complex phytochemicals of some of these fruits? (See www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24502982) i’d love for you to take a deeper look as I respect what you have done and the actual science and experience you have behind you. This might surprise you just and change your recommendations like lentils did in the studies of people from Acciaroli, Italy. I mean since we have done this to ourselves and are fighting pesticides and phytates every single day, I think we might need a stronger defense like these plant nutrients and yes, while we can get them in vital reds or other sources, why not go to the whole plant where we may have other nutrients at play that are bound to the fiber?

Dr. Gundry I have tried both diets and quickly realized the fruit was my main demon, as about 5 hours after eating three pieces of sugary fruit my arthritis in my knee, where it is bone on bone, would flare up with a throbbing pain and not go away as long as I kept eating sugary fruit. Two slices of pizza or a big bowl of regular ice cream would do the same! Thanks for emphasizing the need to eliminate fruit as much as possible! My other autoimmune disease, a variant of RA or PsA, with debilitating symmetrical joint pains, did not respond well to the ketogenic diet, but I got some hints from an interview of Vince Giuliano by Joseph Cohen of Selfhacked of how to make use of certain supplements, like ashwagandha, curcumin, ginger and boswellia. I added in Chinese peony, Pau D"Arco, and cat's claw and encapsulated them in a phospholipid in a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. I tried stopping using this formula 4 times over the last 3 1/2 years, and the last time it went for 2 months before I started to see symptoms start to return. So my suspicion is that strict compliance is still having an impact, even if it is taking a long time. Dr. Hallberg reported recently that 3 of her patients, diabetic for 15-20 years, did not respond to the nutritional ketogenic diet for almost 3 years, but kept compliant, and then the Dr. was able to tell them that they were no longer diabetic. Dr. Hallberg is very proud of her patients! I was puzzled for years about the fruit connection to the pain level, but then in March of 2018 these scientists from the Weizmann Institute published a paper in Science, with three different types of study subjects, that showed elevated blood glucose levels were causing leaky gut problems and damaging the lining of the intestine. They suggested also in the publication that elevated glucose in the gut may also have this capacity, but said further research was needed on that.

She didn’t go on it at the time and has been a Vegan for most of her adult life. 4 months ago she was diagnosed with a tumor in her brain and they told her to go on the Gundry diet. She did and lost 30lbs and the tumor has shrunk 30%. Thank you Dr Gundry.

Thanks DOCS! I eat tons of Brussels sprouts , kale, chard, onions, garlic, sweet potatoes,berries, grapefruit almonds walnuts fish poultry, some whey, some eggs. I also eat small amounts of oats and other fruits. That's it for decades! Oh I do use a small amount of milk here and there I tend to avoid mushrooms though. I don't think they suit my constitution. What a great story! It's almost impossible to eat right (especially organic) when you have a social life. Most people don't care what they put in their mouth, so when they invite you over for dinner, you eat what they put in front of you. They want to eat out and we all know what crap restaurants put in their food. You have to lose your social life in order to eat right. I do the best I can, but it's so hard.

I listen to Dr. Gundry and bought his book, I also bought Eat right to Your Blood Type and listen to Dr Oz , now this lady doctor ......So what have I learned so far? I have learned a lot. However I also learned that what I have already known all along and was cooking to that knowledge (40 years long) raised two children a healthy family based on what my grandmother used to say: Eat all around the food chain you need everything in moderation. I have learned that my grandma was right. We are healthy people, nobody sick so far in my family and we are over 60 the children are over 40 and 2 of the grandchildren over 20 years of age. Healthy as a horse all of us. So, so far so good, and I agree with the 4 plate of green veggies a day and lots of olive oil, garlic, onion and ginger!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for this video. Very educational. All the best to both of you and your families. ❤

I wish I'd known about this 30 years ago because my mom had MS in fact she was first diagnosed when she was about 39 years old and lived to be 77 and by that time it had totally crippled her and her legs were bent and stay that way and she was totally bed bound. and my father had Lou Gehrig's disease and who knows whether or not this protocol of his life worked for him and my brother had Parkinson's and once again I don't know perhaps the protocol would have helped for him also. If this protocol is working for her , I feel that it might be extremely helpful for other people with neurological diseases and probably just good for the masses.

"You are what you eat" -- if you build a house with inferior bricks, bad mortar, cheap wood, bad quality metals, weak glass, no insulation, cheap doors.................don't be surprised when it starts to fall apart. Your diet has to have fat, protein, green vegetables and fruit in it -- you need ALL your vitamins and minerals, they are interdependent. Your body is built from food, doctors, generally, are never taught anything about food ( nutrition) in their training -- what an insane, ridiculous situation! The Sugar Barons are drug pushers -- SUGAR is addictive, toxic and will kill you -- they use alternative names for sugar ( to fool you) when they put it in the food you buy, some of the names even sound healthy --- you have to educate yourself, no-one else will do it for you.

Glad she mentioned beef liver, which is far better than oxalate rich greens for vitamin A and K. Wonder how her kidney health is? Not to discredit her recovery which is remarkable and very worth investigation in to the mechanisms of how it works. One thing I still haven't heard on this channel is a push towards locally grown/raised food, things that grow around us (animals and plants) . What vegetables grow in the wild that you can get without conventional farming? Would that be a better diet than continuing to consume corporate commercial products of any kind (which even if organic still risks contamination)? Also Emfs in modern society and lack of sun exposure? The mechanistic data of diet is lacking considering you can't do controlled human trials, really interested in how diet advice can get better as she is pushing for which is great. Still not convinced that adding more raw greens and restricting meat is the answer, considering you need commercially grown products to do so. She also didnt mention bone broth or stocks of any kind which are paramount in healing guts. As a society I find it crazy we still haven't put the "head on the pin" of elimination diets but I am hopeful we are getting closer. Also that in a society rich in food we are still lacking in health. Maybe we are too far removed from how our food gets to our plate?

This is great. Thank you both for your work and commitment to helping people get well. It's so interesting how we are so programmed to eat sugar and take medications and ignore fixing root cause issues with diet. My son struggles with ADHD. He is 6. He loves sweets, but we really try to regulate it. As a family we eat fairly healthy. He loves to eat small portions very often. He's actually a really great eater. He eats all different types of seafood, vegetables, ect. He loves fruit and eats it very often. I'm convinced his sugar intake has something to do with his ability to focus. I wonder if we try eliminating some things like fruits and packaged foods, even the "healthy ones", we might make some progress with focus. How does this research and findings translate to things like ADHD?

I was so impressed with this interview that I started reading her book. Her “yes” and “no” list has many discrepancies with PP, for example nightshades are allowed etc. she suggests reducing lectins only if you are reacting to them. She said strict NO to any dairy etc. so which way should I go?
@blackswanreselling4 жыл бұрын
I definitely react to dairy - my stomach blows up like a balloon after eating cheese. As a (former) cheese lover, I only noticed the difference after cutting it out for a few weeks and then reintroducing it. You might try doing the same. Regards lectins, I cut out the nightshades etc. too when I started the pp protocol. Now, I notice if I eat anything that has, say, rice flour listed in the ingredients, I get ill a day or two afterwards. I guess it depends on exactly how leaky your gut is and what's getting through the intestinal barrier.

Extremely illuminating and real. Detoxify your body and choose the decontamination phase versus the contamination phase. In other words, learn to let your body heal and detoxify, then fill it with nutritive absortive "contaminants ". In other words... good food options. Your body will thank you in as little as 48 hours and within 2 weeks. Miracles do happen.🙏🙏🙏
