I take umbridge with this story beat actually, as a final knock to an extremely hard time for Bowser when multiple minions were turning on him seemingly without mind control. There’s ways to barn a character, but keeping him inside a locked safe, without a Chaos Emerald is too much for me. Wish they had him doing literally anything else while we get the third Star cure.

It should have been obvious by now, but the Star Cure colors represent each playable character. Red for Mario, Yellow for Bowser, and Green for Luigi. The Super Mario Wiki even says this. Mighty Meteor is one of my personal favorite Bros. Attacks due to how it supplies you with high tier items. Very helpful in The Gauntlet if you are running out of items to use. 18:50 Yay, drinking sweat after so long. The input code that Toadbert mentions was something I saw in my first playthrough, but I never knew what to do with it.

Man, I didn’t expect to start the day with the NSMB World 7 theme, it’s so pleasant. Speaking of great themes, the jingle that plays when the Miracle Cure is fully assembled is that, and you only get to hear it the one time. Mighty Meteor is really cool, but much like most of these late game attacks, guess who didn’t know about it until the very end, even though they directed you to the front desk for it. Next time, we start a very amazing end game at Peach’s Castle, and I’ll have some childhood beef to share for the next boss when we get to it. Sounds absurd given how easy it ends up being due to everything we have access to atm, but trust me, it’ll make sense

Who would win? An ancient primordial demon (perhaps maybe even a pixel or member of the tribe of Darkness) who nearly destroyed the world, forced four ancient heroes to gang up on her, and used artificial stars to augment her own power? Or some guy just standing still. (Bonus, the time line suggests they were active at the same time, meaning that Chakron was busy just posing away while the shadow queen was busy destroying the world. The pixel thing is my personal theory, as she could have perhaps been the pixel queen. At the very least, the GC version's puzzle tower suggests she's not the only one of her kind)

I know you mentioned in the previous video that you currently being overpowered won't last by the post-game, and while I agree considering what is entailed, I personally think it would make the remaining story boss fights more climactic if you had the Challenge Medal equipped for them. Considering also that each of them heavily focuses on the bros. or Bowser specifically and only slightly involves the other party if at all, you can always equip it on the party less involved in the battle, that way it won't interfere with gear set-ups. Just a thought from someone who has played through this game with very similar current builds and dismantled the final upcoming area.

This part was my "carrot minigame" moment... I was a HORRIBLE button masher, and obviously with this bros move mashing and getting an excellent is REQUIRED to continue the game here. I tried again and again for like 2 weeks. I would give up and try to find secret spots or something to get through this, I even started grinding to get stronger thinking it was physically impossible to get an excellent at my current level. It got so bad that I had a plus shaped swell on my thumb from doing first part of the bros move so much and had to rest for a few days. I only managed to beat it by giving the ds to my grandpa who used his cigarette lighter to mash and get an excellent for me somehow. This was probably my 2nd most embarassing videogame experience I've had and I still wonder to this day why exactly I was so bad at mashing back then

Mighty Meteor can generate items that are normally scarce in the game such as Star Candy, you need to get an excellent though, otherwise you'll get a Nut or mushroom item or on occasion a syrup jar item. Not ONLY at high levels can you do insane damage to enemies but get a free rare consumable item too. It's a great deal.

I don’t know why Emile did’t equip the A OK wear on Mario. It increases SP and Stache, which increases the amount of times you can use Bros attacks before healing AND increases your Crit rate, which equals more damage with the daredevil boots.

This is where I got softlocked as a kid. For the life of me I couldnt get excellent on the special attack. Played through the entire game around 3 times thinking I might have missed something but everytime I got to this point I was stuck. I think it mighta been the mashing or something. Came back to it years later to see how bad it was and got it first try- wasn't even that hard. Excited to finally see how my favourite Mario and Luigi game continues.

Another day to mention that the Gall Socks, able to be bought inside Bowser, complements well with the Daredevil Boots. Equip the socks to Luigi and boots to Mario, and it basically makes Mario more able to survive since enemies and even bosses are much more prone to targeting Luigi. Slapping more defensive gear on Luigi also helps him stay alive really nicely! I know Emile mentioned in a past episode that it takes a bit for him to respond cause he records alot of stuff in advance. Still, i hope he looks into this! In other news, Hi Emile! Love what you do! Been watching since Wind Waker! ❤

Got a funny story about that Bros attack: I lent my copy of this game to a family member several years ago, and after they returned it, I looked through their save file. They finished the game without getting all the Bros attacks, and one of them was the one you get from the clinic. I just think that's funny. The game tells you twice "Hey stop and get this attack before you leave." then you can do that in no time at all, and they just didn't. I guess that's your fun fact from my experience: You can miss the Clinic Bros attack.

When I was a kid, me and my brother thought that the snack basket was the strongest attack in the game, since a big part of the main quest was about getting it, and how it was the only move that could knock over the sage. I'm surprised that Emile didn't mention the fact that Snack Basket was, once again, changed in the remake. Specifically, the food items that Luigi eats now fall in a more scattered pattern, making it harder, if not, outright impossible to eat every single single food item, instead making it a game of catching whatever food you can. Additionally, new "bonus food" was added to the attack that has presumably twice the value of the regular food items.
