Just a reminder to drae: You aren't limited to the structure you are given. You have a build tool. You can literally demolish the entire house and build one from scratch using the same plot of land if you wanted. You can build extensions to the house, externals. . . never let a small house define what you can do to it. . . . . also, yet again, no link down bellow cx

I think it's much more fun to work with strict limitations as it forces creativity to overcome those limitations. Making the whole house from scratch would be enormous pain in the ass as I would just be overwhelmed and drowned in the amount of choices.

@@anteshellFair, I was more-so pointing out his options so he is aware of them. I wasn't recommending one or the other. This was more about how he keeps putting essential rooms at the top of the steps. . . which is just not how you design a house. This is because he kept running out of rooms, so I was pointing out he can build extensions to the house to have more rooms. This way the living room and kitchen DOESN'T need to be on the second floor like some kind of mad man. xP

@@anteshell That part was just to showcase the maximum extent of the tool that he is underutilizing. Just to put in perspective on how much he "could" do with it. "Maximum" being the key word here. Just for him to understand how powerful the tool can be so that he can then play around with the idea in his on a smaller scale but greater than how he has used it prior.

Once you use a surface texture, (I think) you can use the flipper tool to change the size. If you'd scaled up the cobblestone I think you wouldn't have gotten quite as shredded. Edit: Also, you can change roof pitch and things with it.

I actually really love the green colour. You could do bath in the same color combo and match it with gold/copper utilities. Like dark green, grey walls and gold / rose gold/ copper fosets. 😊 I do not like fire pole, but if it makes you happy why not 😂

I opened up the wall between the living room and the garage in the starter house. Made for quite a spacious kitchen / living room combination. Just requires an extra layer of floor bricks in the garage to match the level. (Disclaimer: I'm only 5:05 in so far so don't know if you go down that route.)

I actually like the design of this one - the fireman's pole is a bit strange but it's the best that it can be (you could try changing it to rope maybe) but the rest of the room looks really good

This is why you don't sell flooring and paint until you're 100% sure you're done with the house. You will always end up needing it if you sell it. Also... the cobblestone was pretty bad. The bigger option might not have looked as bad, but from like four feet away you start seeing the obvious pattern in the texture.

All the work on the inside of the house looks awesome personally. I think the cobblestone... I think most houses have that on the bottom half, with the top half having just pain that matches the color of the cobblestone a bit, like a light brown/tan. I think that is the only reason it looks a bit off.

lmao @16:20 drae going on about "fish bone cut" was hilarious. Its actually called herringbone, its quite a nice pattern i do as a tile installer but often quite annoying for smaller areas (more wasted materials irl due to unique angling of the cut) great for as shown to do wainscoting the walls (sub half tall wall mainly for decor or in bathrooms as a splash guard) or backsplashes of an area. adds a lot of character. Edit: Yes far and few actually call it fish bone but 90% primarily call it herringbone so it was a lil funny

When building walls, you can speed it up by aiming at the green highlighted part of the wall. This practically triples how quickly a wall is built. Didn't know if you knew this or not since I don't really see you use that mechanic, so figured I'd mention it. It really helps when making longer and higher walls since those can take quite awhile without aiming at the dark green.
