Despite how this movie ends, Vince Penn/Denis Leary is 100% correct. The general manager and the coach have to be on the same page. If this was real life and a GM did a big trade like this and didn't bother to even get the input of the coach it would be a huge problem.

I'm from Cleveland. More or less, Denis Leary's coach character is right. We have the fancy restaurants, world-class museums, and one of the five best orchestras in the world, but I would say 95 percent of the people here -- including the rich ones -- are big fans of at least one of the sports teams. And 90 percent of those are probably fans of all three. Plus, we have a Nordstrom, but the nearest Neiman-Marcus is in Detroit.

I’m curious about Vince Penn. Calling him a babysitter seems like he was the head coach and that they won the Super Bowl in a “Barry Swtizer/ Jon Gruden” like situation where he took over an already successful team and got the chip. That said…why was he available. Did he get fired? Did the team start losing? Jimmy Johnson got fired because of clashes with the owner but that’s the only time I can think of a Super Bowl winning coach getting fired while the team was still good. Usually they get fired because the team starts to stink or they lose the lockeroom. If that’s the case he needs to shut up about winning since him being on the street means they weren’t.
