@beachboardfan9544
@beachboardfan9544 3 жыл бұрын
25:00 The door mating surfaces should be at an angle to each other, like two 45 degree angles. With them as they are now, if you crash and the frame flexes you run the risk of the door itself getting pinched in the door opening. If they're angled and the frame flexes due to a crash the door will get pushed out of the door opening and you'll be able to escape.

Awesome pro tip using tape to set your "trim to" point for making composite bits... I've always done the same thing "inside out" I suppose for making parts out of aluminum, to where the tape would become a sacrificial barrier, and a movable point to file and stress relieve to. I've never thought about forming it into a piece of composite like that, especially since it's all going to get turned into dust like you said... I can't wait to see this thing out and about when it's flyable!

Mike... concerning your non-opening window on scrappy: you are limiting your emergency egress from the aircraft. Should you land (crash) with your opening window against the ground you would be trapped inside the aircraft. How easy and speedy would it be to kick out the permanent window.

It's still hilarious how easy you make building carbon fiber parts look. It must be a gift.

Scrappy installments have been the highlights of this year for me. So much utter awesomeness every time! Very chuffed, too, to get a glimpse of Chandra at work on her Cub; can't wait to see more. Above all, Mike, Chandra and your wonderful kids, have an amazing Christmas and the best New Year ever! Thanks for all you share with all of us, Mr 21st century Da Vinci!

Man what a great family, all getting together and doing what they love, building airplanes! I wish I could just complete my 32hrs for my privates pilot license, just got too expensive for me, but to build and fly my own plane, what a dream that would that would be. So cool watching you though, love the videos!

I'm a little confused Mike Patey. I thought you designed this with mounts to eventually add floats and if you had floats on wouldn't you want to be able to get out on either side to stand on the floats to tie up and such?

Probably the weapons pod will be port with the feed coming from inboard the ballistic glass will be mounted solid General Dynamics XM301 20X102 mm gatling gun with solid pod mount 80 lbs with turreted cradle mount 115 lbs allows independent travel of weapon to aircraft paired with polymer rounds another 30 percent reduction

I loved to have you show us how you make a carbon fiber.. anything. I mean by that to actually teach us how to make it. I know you show layering the fiber but show us from the start. The carbon cloth, what you soak it with, for you keep it from sticking to other stuff, and what’s the filler stuff you use and how you finish it to look so perfect. Guess I could KZbin another channel for it but I like watching yours.
