The way you ran your hot water to the sink reminds me of the way they run the fuel through rocket nozzles to bring the temperature up on the fuel and cool the nozzles. Obviously, what you are doing is different, but i love the way you're taking advantage of one system (instant heat runs) for a secondary purpose (frost protection) ... love it!

Something that I like is that Mike is actually building his own house. A lot of wealthy people would arrive on site on the last day for the keys.

That shower is amazing, but you need a towel heater.

I love how ghetto the shower solution seems. This man invents all the products that are holes in the market. This house has appliance solutions for everyday building problems that could be used for dozens of patents.

Imagine trying to estimate this house as a realter...😂😂 They'd just take the neighbourhood price per m² and triple it is my guess.

So this is what happens when a world-class aeronautical enigneer designs an ourdoor entertaing space.

It looks like some silly "no budget limit" render you'd make in some 3D program. Wild

Last year at wings and wheels I told you I thought I liked James’s house build better…. I take that back, you’ve done an amazing job designing and installing this ! Great job Mike! Hope to see you in September.

Absolutely fantastic. An aeronautic engineer building houses and explaining the wisdom to this detail is a truly awe inspiring thing to be able to witness. Thank you very much hugely inspirational

As much as I love the details as an engineer myself, I do wince at the environmental side with the amount of steel and concrete, and heating for an outside area just for one residential property.

Hi Mike: I saw you using Craftsman V20 battery tools! Bravo! I have most of them and have found them to be the best value for money, and found them usually to not far off from the top of line in performance. You should reach out to Craftsman for an endorsement contract ;-)

The outdoor temperature control reminds me of what you did at your hanger, Mike. And as always, no further compliments could ever say any better how we ALL FEEL about EVERY LAST JOB you put your mind and back into. YOU ARE in all of your followers minds, and one day the ENTIRE WORLD will realize and recognize you as.......an absolute LIVING LEGEND ! ! ! ! !

On your outer most island with the BBQ grill. Did you put some kind of sealer on the underside of the counter for the exposed particle board under those chairs? I know water from up top isn't gonna be the problem with rain, but the underside will still get splashes from a heavy down pour. Maybe some kind of plastic barrier will help you if you over looked this. Love the whole project BTW.

I was dissappointed to see the widespread use of veneered particle board and not a laminate of a thin exterior decorative wood and a structural solid (hard?) wood panel. Similarly the infill and under granite top panels - I would have expected plywood. Particle board does not do well with moisture or humidity so I am curious as to the reasoning.

Mike with the most respect for you work ; you are absolutly bonkers but in a fantastic way. Wauw it must be so nice to have you as a father, an inspirator that show his Kids just go for it and nothing is inpossible. Man... so fantastic wat you are building with the famillie and the crew. Again respect to all of you. And that you have some big money has nothing to do with it, Big money big dreams so what. The way that you all work on it thats the way to make big things. Salute.

8:18 As if there may ever be a next time... I would recommend laminating the under side of exposed particleboard with what is called cabinet liner. A thin phenolic sheet that aids in deterring absorption of moisture. Especially helpful in semi-exterior spaces and near water areas. 👍🏽
