Another great video Tim 👍, amazing collection of Cleveland intake manifolds, wow! That Track Boss manifold was something I never got my hands on, I wanted to build a Clevor engine for my dirt track car, using Australian 302C 2V cast iron heads and that manifold just to see how it did, compared to my Cleveland Motors and to mystify the track officials. 😎🏁

Your videos are the BEST! If I only had a car today, your videos would be a main source of great info. My go-to in 88 was a book titled, Ford Performance.I had ported 2V heads w/4V valves and put an Accelerator (2V) with a 1" phenolic spacer. I used to spin that to 7 all the time and had to be careful because it would rev way past 7 if I was sleeping on the shift. Engine was N/A. Who knows why the combo worked so well, but it rocked.

I always wondered how the old Bud Moore box plenum style intakes stacked up against the more conventional single plane spider style intakes of today. Never saw one on a drag car, as they were primarily a road race or circle track manifold. I'd see one pop up occasionally at the Columbus, Ohio Ford swap meet back in the day and even then, they fetched a king's ransom.

Not good. Have heard nothing about poor performance from them. Maybe at 4k and above. Not any type of street or drag manifold. Fuel puddles in plenum, so I have been told. Spider style blow it out of the water

Any news on a single plane manifold for a tall deck cleveland manifold that does not use spacers to adapt a cleveland manifold to a 351m? You did a video about interest in it some time ago.

I just swapped a cam and an rpm air gap for that Trickflow single plane that’s mated to their 195cc powerport heads on my 408c. Made 457/427 at the wheel NA. I really like the manifold and can’t tell I really lost any low end torque from the dual plane. Motor makes about 20 less hp though when heat soaked

Great up close show and compare! Regards the Terry Parker Funnelweb mention of it being a similar design to the TFC at 12:25 and seeing a side view of it at 14:15. I had a lengthy conversation with Terry prior my purchase of this manifold. An interesting design factor he talked of and put into it, which can easily be seen compared to some of the others here like the Torker and also the mention of the TFC is the end runners. The Parker has a fairly straight run out of the plenum, and the twist and turn is closer to the plenum which gives the air/fuel action a longer straight shot inline with and into the port. This would have to make some kind of difference. Where in the power band and how much?? Would be a great match up against the TFC.

Agree with you on Yorker, ran 1850 with 2inch 4 hole spacer, did play with other spacers. Lived in Key West so short blocks, needed steady idle. 30 over, flat top 1968-9 4V heads, Chevy 427 valves. Rebuilt this engine in 1984, using PAW kit 260 psi.

Man, I hate stupid auto fill, meant Torker intake, just about only alternative then. I did order SVO valve covers, took about 6 months to get. Wish I had kept that engine, but was going overseas and front end of the truck was buggered, hitting raised manhole cover was hell on twin I beams.

Personally, had the best results with The Torquer on single four barrel street stuff. O.E. Cleveland intakes were poor. Almost as poor as the 4300 and 4300D carbs. Boss 351 alum. intake was an improvement but the carb. though rare and valuable was junk. Dual four barrel Pro-Stock and Comp. 6464 or 7320s on Edelbrock UR-19 tunnel ram straighted runners and reworked plenum. Plenum reworked for free flow and shortened for larger carbs. Nice intake collection, DragBoss! Let Mrs. DragBoss choose hers!❤

For the sake of good testing, Air Feul ratio guages on each exhaust port is a must. I'm sure, Ford did a lot of testing, but using guages would certainly confirm

This will be awesome, just what we want to see, what these manifolds will do on a test engine. One manifold I always wondered how it performed, is the Bud Moore Engineering Maxi- plenum, that thing is so cool looking. But is it good? Keep up the good work, Tim!

A good test would be a short block that is standard stroke. Then a stroker engine.

The Clevelands did very well in NASCAR, always wondered what kind of power output they made. Many ran those Maxi plenums, and the Boss 302's dominated in the trans am series with Bud Moore's mini plenums. Thanks for the reply! Great video Tim and information I'm wondering on the weiand tunnel ram upper plenum has the D shaped ports if that helps air flow or creates a vortex,, also I've seen on Glidden's Ford Fairmont Cleveland tunnel ram looks like he has crank case valve between the carbs in the upper plenum going to header collector is this better than pulling from valve covers ? Maybe Darrin has some good good input on this when you get him back on,, Thanks

12.1, cam is like 259/267, net lift is like .700. Never really got definite cam specs but saw those numbers mentioned.
