It's crazy how well written Dorian is and how bad these characters are. Dorian didn't tell you flat out about his sexuality, he didn't scream his abuse at you the moment you meet him, he's an actual character. One of my favorite things to do relationship wise in Inquisition as a female character is to attempt the romance with him. Because you get to the end and hit the wall that is his sexuality. Which is extremely tactful handled by the way him saying ‘I know you were interested, I don't feel that way but I was having such fun with you I didn't have the heart to say it.’ Which is exactly the type of person Dorian is and something that can be related to. Even better instead of just "he's gay sucks to be you" you can instead choose to continue the fun flirty relationship you had before. He’s an actual character, he's not a prop.

As someone currently writing the script for my first visual novel, that hurt my brain... a lot. That's gotta be one of the most incompetent writing I've ever seen on a game. None of the dialogue shown moves to plot forward or inform about the characters, but they provide a little worldbuilding, so there is that. Also, the writing AND the delivery of the lines feels so meta, like they're speaking to the audience rather than among themselves. And this is BioWare. They created some of the best written characters in gaming, and now we have... whatever this is.

You know what really gets me? The entire theme of Dragon Age has always been the idea that both sides in a conflict can have a very good point. The conflict between the Mages and the Templars is a perfect example of this. The Templars are, when you get right down to it, entirely correct. Untrained mages are a danger to the world around them, this is an indisputable fact. However, the treatment the Mages undergo is wrong in the extreme. DO they need to be trained and carefully policed? Yep, they absolutely do. Do they need to be locked up and treated like lepers? No, they do not. This message is an important one, especially today when everyone looks at the other side as an enemy and refuses to consider that they might have a point on some issues, rendering actual discussion nearly impossible. The us vs them mentality shown in American politics in this day and age is DANGEROUS and really needs to be addressed before things really get out of hand.

The concurrent player number and the all time peak have stabilized at 70k. That's the best that game is gonna get. I predict around 400k-500k copies sold, which isn't nearly enough for them to cover the game production costs. To do so, the game would need to sell 3+ millions copies to just break even, and there is no way this game is ever going to see those numbers. Bioware is gonna be shut down.
