Personally, the android/cell saga is my favorite one. But babidi and Buu don't just "appear". Buu and Bibidi were from ancient times in the past, Buu is an ancient creature. And for me personally, when an ancient evil comes back to battle a modern protagonist, I think it's epic as fuck.(This is off the wall, but an example would be Halo 4's story) Yes, the set up to this saga wasn't as nice as the others, but there were plenty of great fights.

@@PS2GAMER100 has nothing to do with targeting a young audience. Super looked the way it did due to lack of time and planning. They have some stellar animated sequences in Super. Some of them standing above the best animated scenes in Z. The lack of impacts and feeling of scale in a fight is all down to supervisors and directors of an episode. The main guy that was in charge of character sheets for Super was making bad designs for animating. They looked well drawn but do not translate to a easy to animate character. The designs have more highlights in super so animators are pressed to be on model. Go watch episode 114 of super and watch for the moment where the characters literally look like they were taken out of the Buu saga. This is a rare occasion in the show where the character designer and lead animation supervisor for all of super did no redrawing of any of that specific animation supervisors work on that episode. It's all about good character designs so animators are able to draw the character quickly without uneccesary detail. Things like extra highlights In the hair or on the face and body. The shiny look in super is because of the character designer making the characters have 3 layers of highlights. Compared to Zs 2 tone and same with original Dragonball

Where as, when the threat of Buu is coming, supreme kai shits his pants and gets involved with Earthly issues that normally he would never mess with.

The MAIN thing that upsets me about the Buu Sage is considering the fact that Buu was made up purely from thin air and magic . I don't like how the strongest villain in the universe can just pop up like that purely from magic . Cell Started off as a simple basic organism "Aka Cell " in a test lab made by a incredible mad yet genius scientist . He started off weak , incredible weak . There were so many stages in his life that he could of been instantly destroyed . While he was still in his Test tube , while as a larva , evolving into his first form , he was still incredible weak. He had to absorb the energy of hundreds of human beings to get stronger. After that hunt down and absorb two incredible powerful androids protected by another powerful android 16 while having to deal with all the Z fighters that had way more advantageous . They had trucks from the future . They had Goku who survived , they had Hyperbolic Time chamber and last and foremost they had the Dragonballs . Cell climb to power was a more incredible and great experience to watch compared to Buu who just simply manifest as the strongest warrior of all time with no true goal or motive .

It would have been Better if Buus creation were similar to his revival. Bibidi could have created a creature capable of absorbing all the exerted energy in the galaxy which would easily explain his incredible strength. Sort of like an evil spirit bomb. I've never been a fan of buu's magical origin either.

You're focusing on Buu as if it itself brought itself into existence by pure magic. Just as Gero was able to create these beings as strong as and stronger than beings he had yet encountered thanks to the years he spent on it and strong contrivance, Bibidi who is clearly fairly aged spent his time honing his magic to create Buu. And as far as I see it, DBZ's basis is magic. The story started out chasing around magic balls that summon a dragon which grants wishes, and things like Ki in other stories, and somewhat this one, are comparable to the capabilities of magic although they have their differences. The strongest characters in general of the Buu saga were also magic baised with the fusions, having your inner powers awakened, spirit bombs, or being able to communicate with all the people in the world through telepathy. Piccolo who was essentially the first major villain is totally magic with an organic origin and if you think about it the whole Super Saiyan legend and achievement has a magic feel to it. At the end of the day, I think the Buu saga despite being easily acknowledgable as a forced ad-on due to fan and other pressure could be seen as the final and proper struggle against a pure being like Buu. There was no chance for sympathy from it from the start and unlike before it is clearly stated that there was no growth or process to it being as strong as it was, it simply is and evil existence that is far stronger than anything else they've faced, and that creates a lack of anything to really anchor yourself to in fighting against it.

And the supreme kais didnt exist until the buu saga where they got added in which once again I think got out of hand. Buu was made by magic, a magic creature spawned by bibidi. Not to mention buu had no motive.. he just destroyed things just because it amused him. The story line got dimmed with the buu saga COMPARED to the cell Legacy.

Even though Frieza's transformations take several episodes, Cell makes it up for making his "final" transformation more epic and only less than 9-10 minutes while Frieza takes 1 1/2 episodes to complete. Cell truly is Perfection. The Perfect Bio-Android. And overall Perfect, even though his design is a bit weird, he still is my favorite villain in Dragon Ball history, Except for Frieza, Goku Black, and Baby from GT (but we don't like to talk about it too much).

I realized something. Cell didn't really need the androids because he has the zenkai. All his transformations were basically just a power boost. He could've reached those same levels by simply self destruct and come back like he does later on. he didn't know this at the time but it's kinda interesting when you think about it.

No, the Buu saga is jst the continuation of the story and the conclusion of the story. Just because you didn't like it as much as the cell saga doesn't ruin anything about the show. Yes but the Cell saga brought depth and true genius into cells being, the story and creation of cell was pure epic. Buu on the other hand was just *poof* theres bibidi, babidi and buu. Im not saying Buu saga is horrible but it is the worst out of the 3 considering its a filler saga that was rushed more than the others. Not to mention all fights in that saga are overpowered vs weak, there were no epic fights except kid buu vs ssj3 goku.
