It breaks my heart to think that Toriyama could have decided to work a lot on Daima because he knew he probably did not have a lot of time left to live. I will appreciate this show with my soul.

The fact that after all the projects over the years he decided to be very involved in this makes it very special knowing he was already in declining health. Toriyama enjoyed entertaining the youth with his particular sense of humor. This project looks like it will bring back a lot of the early Dragon Ball nostalgia. Long story short: demon realm is a mirror to the mortal realm, it’s infinite in size, they have their own supreme Kai realm, and demons are implied to be just a realm full of kaio. They have regeneration, immense ki, their own transformations, etc.

Mechikabura definitely is a Makaioshin as he was in the running to be the next Supreme Kai of Time and had a Kaioshin outfit. He was the first Makaioshin shown in Dragon Ball but because he tried to create his own god bird Dogi Dogi a copy of Toki Toki and tried to speed up the process of a Toki Toki egg that he gained after this he was banished.

Maybe Dabura, being the king of the Demon Realm, like other kings in media and other places, might have a kind of... prime minsiter, or someone who is their number two person, or second in command that can run things, and maybe the little man in Daima next to the Ma-kioshen was Dabura's second in command and he was running things in the Demon Realm in Dabura's place while he was away serving Babbidi, although he would not have the title of "King" or anything like that, he would just be like Sorbe in the Frieza Force after Frieza died, because he ran everything but he was not the main guy, and Dabura probably checked in or contacted the Demon Realm while serving Babbidi and it was an unorthodox way of management and hierarchy, but once Dabura actually died that is when that little man then officially becomes "King" of the Demon Realm.

Just one thing that was left out with the analysis on Boo, in the same interview where he retconned the OG story of him, Toriyama also mentioned that Boo "absorbed" the evil elements of mankind and became much more violent over time.

Now that the MaKaioshin are canonically being inserted and explored in Dragonball there's a big retcon that needs to added to the story. In the original interviews that mentioned the Demon Realm it was implied that the Kaioshin and MaKaioshin were inverses of each other, but now that DBS has introduced the GoDs and made them the intertwined sets of the Kaioshin the lore of the relationship between Kaioshin and MaKaioshin needs to be rewritten with the GoDs in mind. And does the Demon Realm have its own GoD that governs destruction in the realm like Beerus that is tied to the MaKaioshin and might even be mentioned in Daima? That last part might never be answered but it really should be explored.

The Mahakaishin arc could be the rumored future Dragon Ball Super arc supposed to be tied in with Daima. I would like it but I doubt it will happen. Hakaishin and angels are supposed to be neutral so if they aren't the "good version" of their kind, there won't be "evil versions".

Deborah being killed upset the balance of the demons. Plus we now have rivals to the hierarchy. Kais, Angels, God. The guy kneeling is a Demon Kai, the lady in the chair is Demon that rivals the Angels. We also have a Devil to rival Zeno. Per sources. Confirmed, evil Kais. And Demons to rival angels. Don't kno for sure about the Devil to rival Zeno tho.

I always kinda thought of it like this: Mechikabula/Demigra/Fu (Dark Kings of all the demon realm, the opposite to the Grand Supreme Kai) Towa, Shroom, Salsa, Robelu (these more high-tier demons being makaiōshin and reflective of the supreme kai) Dabura, Putine, Gravy etc (the equivalent of the Kaiō, Dabura maybe having a role more like the Dai Kaiō but for demons as a grand king of the realm)

i have an answer your question about the demon realm in the other universes in 10:39 in chapter 16 of dbs manga it appears a design of universe 10 and it is very similar the design of universe 7 in daizenshuu 7, try reading that chapter and you will have an answer because when we first introduced to universe 10 in the manga, Toyotarau draws a sphere with 2 parts living world and the other world, even the universe 10 has a snake way in it, toyotarau draws that in the manga chapter 16..

If it ends up happening, where this ties into super later, imagine if it led to Android 21 being in the main timeline. Them trying to react rate Majins potentially, and seeing Vomi exists. Maybe Vomi and another character will team up, like Gero and the other doctor in gt did, to make Android 21. Or maybe someone will use Vomi’s body to make Android 21.

It would've been so good to get a tease of this realm during the Granolah arc, when Frieza implied he wasn't "counted" as part of the universe when Gas made his wish. What if he had been in this realm instead of the "another hyperbolic time chamber" asspull. Remember Frieza (and Frost) have been constantly referred as 'demons' by many throughout the series 👀 That would've nicely bridged daima with super for an upcoming arc where perhaps the origins of Frieza are explored before his ultimate defeat or conversion to good.

Excited for Daima. It's Toriyama's last work, and we get to see more of the mysterious demon realm and race outside of the spin-offs (which may be non-canon). What confuses me about these demonic Core People (the race of the Kais) is the fact that they're just sent to a separate realm when they're born. Like, why? Can't you just have a God of Destruction eliminate them on sight so they wouldn't be a potential future threat? Why would the Kaiju birth evil Core People to begin with?

Time immemorial does not necessarily mean the beginning of time, just a time before anyone can remember. Assuming that whatever word Toriyama uses in Japanese that was then translated to "immemorial" has the same denotation, then Buu does not necessarily have to exist since the beginning of the universe. Perhaps the original Japanese does convey that specifically, though.

What's racking my brain is why this new Makaioshin (the one in the thumbnail) looks so much like Shin. I personally think there's a bigger reason beyond the two of them just happen to look like each other. If Makaioshin were originally Shinjin born evil, is it possible this new character was born at the same time Shin was? Like they're brothers in a manner of speaking? I know that might be a stretch to say they're "brothers" since Kais and Shinjin are all born from a tree, but maybe they have some sort or relation or connection that would explain it. @@Jiron127 While I agree, Zamasu did look similar, and it could very well be a coincidental choice in design, I feel like they made this Makaioshin look a lot more identical to Shin and it's very possible that it isn't by accident. Keep in mind, Zamasu was taller with a different hair style. The only differences I see with this Makaioshin is his eyes and maybe his skin tone is slightly different from Shin's new Daima color scheme. I could be overthinking it, sure, and yes Toriyama has been known to make people look identical for no huge reason. (Goku and Turles is a good example) But if it were me on that design team, there would definitely be a reason behind all this that the audience has yet to know.
