@@mgstation I agree, I just went through the entire Dragon Ball franchise in the last few months, and I kid you not my FAVORITE part was watching GT with the Mark Menza music. It gets WAAAAAY more hate than it deserves from all the purists... I just feel like the dark/apocalyptic vibe suited GT so much more than the upbeat Japanese music. It is a real shame that GT will most likely never be formally recognized again due to the purists.

I grew with Mark and Bruce's music but man Mark knocks it out of the park each time I watch the movies especially Return of Cooler. That SSJ theme is just iconic. I get goosebumps and maybe or may not get a bit teary eye.

What didn't you like about GT's music? It's not like Z where it was written by a composer mainly from the 60's & 70's to sound like music from those eras.

Hello Elise and welcome back with another episode of anime adventures!!!👋 . I've always enjoyed and appreciated watching Dragonball GT, the music was something I've always felt had it's own taste and I appreciated it aswell. Mark is an amazing guy and definitely enjoyed hearing him talk and breakdown the music energy that went into Dragonball GT.❤️

I want to echo what you said about you thinking about asking Elise to find a composer because I actually asked Elise this question too. Uh.. it’s about me asking her what music she might cite as her favorite and what genres she loved when she was a kid because since she interviewed the previous composer, that was an amazing experience because I love it when she interviews people like that. So I want her to look back at the question I asked her about so that I can tell her my story.

The GT music gets kind of a bad rap, but I don’t know. I find myself humming the theme every now and then and have to admit it was pretty good for what it was. Watching it on Toonami late at night back in the day was pretty fun.

What he said in the 2nd chapter is proof that the decision of the executives to replace the soundtracks had absolutely nothing to do with quality, but instead they only did it to make an extra buck off of their distorted versions of these series (and for cheap, too). Not to mention the vapid trend chasing that was the basis of the decision, which is _actually_ anachronistic where the series is concerned (superimposing early 2000's trends on a mid 90's production).
