Despite the controversial and sometimes more negative opinions fans have on this show, I'll always love it, even the black star dragon ball saga. I found it to be a lot of fun overall and lets not forget how it gave us SSJ4, which is one of my favourite transformations in the entire series. So I'll always be grateful for all the good this series has done. Great video as usual

Watching it on toonami back in the day was lit for me I fully enjoyed the series...I remember a few people here n there on forums saying that GT sucked then all of a sudden u see it on yt and then that was it every one all of a sudden hated it

Back when GT aired I started watching it but dropped a bit into Baby's arch because I never really got invested in GT as a whole. I remained curious about some of the stuff there but never went back to watching it, and I'm loving this video as it has great cuts and a good synthesis of the story. I remember when I first seen it in the early 2000s on the Syfy channel it aired at 4:00am so I couldn't watch all of it because I had school but I remember being blown away because I was watching DBZ on Toonami in the afternoon after school homework.

There was a channel called Cartoon Network, that eventually became shared with Nickelodeon that aired during the day. DBZ was aired in the Toonami slot, but at 1am, so I used to book the show through the sky UHF decoder unit and set the VCR to record at a specified time slop. Ild then dub it over to another tape to take the ad breaks out but noticed loss in quality as I used Long Play. I dont think GT aired here? DBS definitely did.

I think my favorite explanation of the ending ive heard was that Goku did actually die but was granted the wish of being able to save his planet before his death which is why after the battle shenron comes for Goku

GT had its strengths and weaknesses, but one trope that it does that I think REALLY outshines many other series on top of Super, it's that it passes the torch on to a younger character and moves on, rather than relying on multiple unverses.
