Bt3 is ahead of its time. Making spark8ng zero look like a bt3.5, and it is and that just goest to show how excellent and timeless the bt3 formula is/was. I get it, characters all feel the same to a extnent and in reality it has maybe 10 character variations and special moves. It aint street fighter level of depth. But it is pure joy.

The Ultimate Attacks obviously look way better in Zero, but I don't like how a lot of them lack impact at the end. For example, I prefer Tenkaichi's version where the blast from the Spirit Bomb lingers, compared to Zero's where it just fizzles out into tiny specks. I just wish they had given that extra "oomph" after the impact of most Ultimate Attacks in Zero. It would have been nice if they could have thrown in a brief cut-in of the Golden Ape during the SSJ4 transformation as well.

The reason moves lack impact is not because of visuals the reason they lack impact is because the sounds are calmer than BT3 I played a video of Sparking Zero in slow motion and some attacks during rushes straight up don't have any sounds.

Sparking Zero is visually superior but there's alot of quality of life changes I'd make, mostly to the menus (like not having a random stage select option... Despite having one for the BGM?). I loved the SFX from BT3 because everything sounded more impactful and intense. I also like the transformation voice clips better because the characters feel more into their transformations or more eager for what comes next. Overall, I think Sparking Zero is a HUGE step up, but there's still some simple changes I think would help the game feel more alive. But I'm not on the team so I don't get to make those choices even though this type of stuff is my literal passion

Honestly, I prefer the powers and ki to be more like the original series; I prefer a kamehameha that's a bit more opaque, without so much brightness and effects. As someone who grew up with the Tenkaichi series and who waited so long for its continuation : Transformations --> Sparking ZERO : The transformations look fantastic in Sparking ZERO and they are very faithful to what we saw in the anime. They also look good in Tenkaichi 3 but aren't really faithful to the anime. Fusions --> Sparking ZERO : I always found the fusions lame in Tenkaichi 3, Sparking ZERO gave them much more justice. Ultimate attacks --> Tenkaichi 3 : My biggest disappointment in Sparking ZERO are the beams which look too small and are not really faithful to what we saw in the anime. Tenkaichi 3's were much better and faithful to the anime, the explosions are also better. Character design --> Tie : Characters look good in both games, of course the details are much better in Sparking ZERO because of the modern graphics, but we have to praise Tenkaichi 3 for being way ahead of its time (Goku SSJ3 still looks better in Tenkaichi 3 than in Sparking ZERO). Combat gameplay --> Sparking ZERO : The gameplay is even more complete in Sparking ZERO and it already was in Tenkaichi 3 considering its age. So overall, Sparking ZERO wins.

I love everything in Sparking Zero, EXCEPT For the Artstyle.. idk why they decided to use Broly movie for their Art Direction.. it does looks Good, but Applying it for the Whole Game doesn't seems Right For Me.. Goku Gi's Color now it's all the same in his Base Form or Super Saiyan, and How the Beam looks more like An Actual energy Beam in BT3 just like in Z/Super Anime Series/Movies, they Looks more dense and Brighter on the Center than Water ish Looks in Sparking Zero, especially the Spirit Bomb, looks like a Blue Sun in Sparking Zero, While BT3 Spirit Bombs looks Bombastic looks more like Spirit Bomb from the End of Z vs Kid Buu And the Fact that even Ultimate Beam like Super Kamehameha seems so small compared to BT3 😂

For me SZ had a learning curve with the controls. I prefer BT3's dialog with the characters and that's it. SZ is the sucessor to BT3

The sound effects were exactly like they were in the show. Sparking zero isn’t far Brooks though but kid Goku is off voice acting wise. I grew up with Dragon Ball

Literally the ONE AND ONLY THING Sparking Zero has over BT3 is graphics and that’s expected since one game is from 07 and another one is from 2024. Other than that, Sparking Zero is nothing more than a rushed, unfinished, visually pleasing cash grab. The game is ridiculously boring, ESPECIALLY for competitive play. The ranking system makes NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER.

Should have showed the difference between super attacks like Kamehameha. In BT3 they feel more powerful and louder. Thats one thing where Sparking Zero is lacking a bit. They feel too weak.

Crazy how bt3 is still better. The sound is way better, more impact, more cinematic, the clash is better, the quick movement (teleport). At least sparking zero looks better (17years) but that’s it, better graphic, transformation and ki blast reflect.

Sparking Zero is definietly more flashy, especially in cutscenes, but not everything is better. Some attacks looked better in BT3, for example Brolly hammer was much better in BT3. Generally in my opinion maybe combat system in BT3 was simpler but better.

BT3 clears in sound effect, gameplay and how the game just looks good without doing much, Sparking Zero just has very good graphics with the Unreal ungine 5 but the gameplay is a downgrade to BT3 lmao, even BT2

@@Vergil_Sparda69 they would have to reworked it entirely, because its not just a vanish fest, add the 2 frame windows and the 1 second cooldown before every Z counter because its super easy and strong to use, favor the one with less Ki in the battles of Vanish, make it faster too because the timing is way too easy, also Reduce the loading of the Blasts stocks, but all of this would only make the game less toxic and not actually improve the gameplay

@@Vergil_Sparda69 the gameplay still have majors flaws, add the 2 frame windows and the 1 sec cooldown before performing another Z counter, the short dash is completly useless in the neutral phase, the Z burst Dash unsafe and cost too much Ki, also the only way to truly get around the map, easy sparking mod activation for certain characters, Damage scaling that doesnt make sense, sometimes you fall from the air being unable to recover and then you get hit by a target rush that is 100% comfirmable, losing vision on your opponent when they change character or when ur character dies (let them go sparking mod guaranteed not to mention the fact that sometimes the camera doesnt lock in when they are right in front of you)

BT3 had a better soundtrack. gameplay wise. The camera angles were better during gameplay, and the combos and teleportation during combos are a bit smoother & faster. Other than that I’d have to say speaking is better in every other aspect. Just my opinion:) it might change later on in life. But currently my opinion ❤️
