This is honestly one of the BEST Dragon Ball Z games I’ve ever played, I honestly didn’t think that I would like it, but I actually Loved it a LOT!!! I recommend playing this on PS5 by the way.

One of if not THE best Dragon Ball game i've ever played as a super fan. Also one of the best JRPG'S i've ever played as well. Being able to actually have a map & explore the DBZ open world is absolute heaven. Kakarot is strangely therapeutic but also has a really fun/addictive combat system. Being able to fly at OG Dragon Ball spots & find old locations or memories with Goku made this game God Tier for me, even being able to go fishing like OG baby Goku did or just simply walking into the Bulma's house whenever i feel like it to upgrade stuff. Truly fun game kinda like playing a manga.

The demon realm is 3 worlds. The first world looks more like what Bethany thought it would've been. We don't know how the second world looks and the third world was the one in the trailer.

Kakarot definitely has it's issues but some of the liberties they take are pretty good. Especially the cutscenes for some of the major moments almost look better than the show sometimes. It's just a shame we'll never get something like this for the original Dragon Ball. Daima is also really good so far. Lot's of lore in each episode and it feels like a real journey like old Dragon Ball.

Fun fact: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was developed by Cyber Connect 2, the same company that developed Asura’s Wrath and the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm games. Their games are well-known for having some of the best 3D anime visuals and animation in the world, something that’s notoriously difficult to pull off. I highly recommend you play this game if you want to experience the full story of Dragon Ball Z as it was originally told.

If you want to watch Daima dubbed, the dub debuts in theaters on the 10th, 11th, and 12th with the first 3 episodes. Not sure when it starts on streaming platforms though. I’m hyped for the dub because the original dub VA for Kid Goku is returning for the first time in over a decade to voice Goku(Mini). I can’t wait.

You're actually going to see how the Saiyan Saga played out, I think DBZA did a good job of conveying Namek and Android Saga in story, but during the Saiyan Saga it just sort of assumed you knew the characters and plot and made a lot of in-jokes only Dragonball fans/ terminally online upper-20 Zillenials would understand. Try to get all the DLC for Kakarot, this game has some BANGING DLC that also goes into Trunks' timeline stuff you don't see like how did Trunks deal with Buu etc (I think you missed this trailer or they never made one), the OG Dragon Ball tournament Arc vs Piccolo Jr., the whole Bardock situation ofc (which is gonna get retconned T_T soon but still...) AND it has an absolutely BANGING take on the End of Z arc (The last episode with Uub, but the DLC has extra surprises that give DBZ fans the ending it deserved). The Battle of Gods/Frieza Resurrection DLC is sadly a little barebones though.

Frieza dying on Namek would've been the perfect narrative ending and I'm sad they didn't stick with it. The tyrant's own petty desires being his downfall was the right ending note to hit. "YOU FOOL!"

I don't know if you mean you don't like Cyborg Freeza coming to Earth and getting blicked by Trunks (which was a good way to show how dire the Android threat was going to be) OR the Resurrection F Arc (Which I understand, though I'm a fan of what ToP would later do and Africanized Frieza no spoilers), but I think the idea of Goku not killing Frieza goes along with his idealogy, differentiating him from traditionally heroic characters (man was literally gonna let Frieza just keep oppressing people so long as he never came back to Earth or Namek) and that Goku wanted to humiliate Freeza, to show him that he wasn't as mighty as he was because he's losing to "just a monkey" as Goku mocks him. That's why I like the line where Freeza literally could go on and run his Empire, but can't sleep at night knowing he shares the cosmos with Goku.
