***** Xennoverse is the best selling Dragon Ball Z game of all time so their defiantly making a sequel. And the combat systems aren't that bad, the main thing the need to do is increase the amount of stages and characters, their are stages in the main story that aren't even available to play in online which is bullshit. Stages like Trunks training in Toki Toki or all the stages from the Demigra saga, thank god for mods.

Videl Gamer Girl Thanks God for PC version of Xenoverse you mean. Console versions can't be modded. Anyway besides adding more characters, stages hairstyles and who knows what else, they also need to change few things in the sequel. Like for example make ALL clothes colourable make them not increase and decrease stats.

sebotrp You can mod console games actually, it's just allot more complicated and time consuming and also you can't get caught because it's illegal. In terms of gameplay my main beef is the hit detection on the great apes. The hit detection on great apes is annoying as fuck and unless you hit them at a certain specific angle your attack won't do shit one matter how high your stats or how powerful the attack is. Also they need auto targeting so that when you fighting an enemy and some asshole comes in from behind and starts kicking your ass your not stuck standing their getting your ass beat because your still targeted on another enemy. Btw having clothing stats is a good thing when it comes to creating builds and diversifying your stats from another players.

Videl Gamer Girl Actually the hit detection during the great ape fights is perfectly fine. In order to decrease their armor/stamina meter you have to attack them as they are executing their own attack. And well stats on clothing are both good and bad to be honest. Good because they make you stronger, bad because they limit your customization options. Sure you can wear them all but Let's say you're a Character that specializes in Ki Supers. Normally you would wear something like Vegito's clothes since they boost Ki Blasts but what if you want to wear Broly's Outfit because you just like how it looks? Sure you can wear it but it will actually make your Ki Blasts a lot weaker while boosting stats that are pretty much useless for your CaC. If Clothes didn't affect your stats you could wear anything without worrying that they will make your CaC weaker.

Videl Gamer Girl M8 there is no bad hit detection and you dont have to hit that "specific sweet spot" In order to deal damage. In fact, that "Super secret magical spot" youre talking about doesnt even exist. The Key to beating an ape like devs intended you to is by waiting for the right moment to attack, and that right moment is when an Ape is right about to attack ya. Try it out, as soon as you see Ape preparing to attack hit it anywhere you want, with pretty much anything you want including basic Ki Blast and it should deal fairly decent damage depending on yer stats of course. Ape doesnt recieve damage while just walking around and standing because It was a design choice to prevent ppl from beating those quests too fast considering how much EXP those give. Yea its a bit silly design choice but honestly, you surely have that 1 extra minute to wait for the right time to attack no?. Sure Blue Hurricane is the best, if you're a striker anyway. But what if you're ki based user? Ill tell ya what, Blue Hurricane coming form an Ki Based user won't do shit to an ape, especially those from the DLC3 and if ya want that sweet exp, ya have no choice but to use yer brain for a change and think. try finding a different way of beating an ape. BTW, Blue Hurricane wasn't intended by devs to be the most effective way to kill Apes, it's more an exploit than anything.

I've never wanted to admit this openly, but I was such a fan of DBZ and I enjoyed LoGII and Buu's Fury so much as a kid that I traded my Pokemon Sapphire cartridge that had all the Kanto and Hoenn starters I traded by myself to a friend who owned Legacy of Goku 1. I very much regret that to this day. The game was trash, and that Sapphire cartridge had way more value.

A glitch I remember happening to me in this game was during the Burter and Jeice boss fight. What's supposed to happen is that Burter gets beaten and then Jeice runs away. Somehow, I beat Jeice before I beat Burter. Because of that, Burter never actually fought after that, and just teleported out of the way whenever I tried to attack him, ki attacks or physical attacks. So I had to restart the whole boss fight over again. And there was another glitch in that same boss fight where I somehow Instant Transmissioned myself inside Burter and Jeice's attack.

a game with Xenoverse-styled controls with a Legacy of Goku-like environment would kick ass. Hell, I wouldn't mind another Dragon Ball side scroller. Surprisingly enough, some of the best Dragon Ball games are handhelds. The Legacy of Goku and Dragon Ball Origins may not have been good games, but Supersonic Warriors, Legacy of Goku II, Advanced Adventure, Buu's Fury, Attack of the Saiyans, they're all good handheld Z games that are really damn awesome. I really wish they'd go back to the formula of those games (but I'm glad they're revisiting Supersonic Warriors with Extreme Butoden on the 3DS), and with Xenoverse's success, the developers of Xenoverse should try to make another game like the handheld ones. Hell, the Legacy of Goku games were Dragon Ball Sagas done right.

The best DBZ game would be a free roam RPG like elder scrolls but DBZ style where you get to choose what to do, side quests, kind of like XenoVerse, but more "free to choose" where you have a karma system or a flow where of you defeat raditz you get treated more as a hero or team up with raditz and you look less like a hero and more like a villain. It would be cool if you get to choose what you do what you do with your character in the DBZ universe

But if you have the power to choose you would be destroying how the characters are, remember the game is based on an anime (actually a manga but whatev) and in that form of media you don't have the power to change the events. What they should do is a completely new history or cover something that we haven't seen in the same universe, and maybe have Goku and his friends as recurrent characters; if this someone do this your ideas could work.

Oh god me and my brother played this ALL THE TIME back in the day, I remember enjoying this game whenever the AI wasn't kicking my ass, Even then, usually we'd have a strategy of trying to gang up on the boss, and whenever one was low on health, they'd back away to use Ki Blasts and specials while the other would keep the boss busy. I don't remember ever running into any big glitches honestly, I think only ever the 18 one, but even then that one was rare to ever happen..... I think I'm in the minority that really enjoyed this game, lol...

Let me see what to nitpick about Vegeta in the cutscene at 2:03... -His hair is brown instead of Black (which as he states is the natural hair color of ALL Saiyans) -His Armor is black where the white should be -His skintone may just be a tad darker than it should -His scouter is green instead of Red -Maybe it's just me, but his hair isn't as long as it should be

Vegeta in the cut scene shouldn't matter because any real DBZ fan can tell you how many times things about Vegeta's character/design has been changed. In the very first episode Vegeta was in his hair was, in fact, redish brown. His armor was green, orangish red and blue or something and other things. While Vegeta stated all saiyans have black hair, there was a saiyan in Vegeta's own flashback who had red hair, I believe.

This is why you play Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Better graphics, bigger roster, unique moves for each character (though some are re-skins). bunch of different story modes to play through, including a what if? Combat is a lot more deep, maps are much more open, and you can do a ton of moves in the air. Oh and you get to play as Mr. Satan!

TheKatanarama From the hit detection to the cheap ways of playing like spamming, running, taking a pill at the last second just to win. Then you have to grind for hours just to get a single item that you want unless yo're lucky to get it on your first try. The character customization is very limited, no other hairstyles, can't color clothes, only fat buu and not skinny buu the same goes for female buu. the stats on clothes makes created characters overpowered as hell, the hair or eyes don't change when in SSJ state nor can you change body type for male or females. Like I want a skinny guy but he's always buff even at it's smallest, women are too short even at it's max height, both men and women need equal hairstyles, like the mira hairstyle for women. not much to explore the servers are terrible i mean they've gotten better but still not the best. That's all I got.

... Well, I can understand how those things can be annoying, sure, but they don't really add up to "horrid." Yes, everything you've said is true, but "horrid" is WAY overstating things. Okay, the server problem does suck, but I personally found it worth struggling through that because of the rest of what the game offered.

Well, Goku is a pretty uninteresting character. Ignoring somehow managing to breed, he doesn't go through any interest character changes. Just about everyone else in the series has interesting quirks or evolve in some way (Though most go through the same formula).

The part with Dende wasn't that bad, especially since he can heal you...not like you'll ever die in this game with the cheap spammable tactics but whatever. The corps building protection...god that was some migraine. Also, you got one thing wrong, the glitches are the BEST thing about the game.

@@konflicted1729 Completely agree. Got the Switch version, with the "A New Power Awakens Set", even though I pre-ordered it on the PS4 at first. I know, not a good idea or thing to do, but when you're a hardcore DBZ fan; and you see this clean, jaw dropping trailer for something that looked like a movie or a DBZ or DB Super special, but then you see the game trailers, and it looks amazing. But when I preordered it, I forgot to get it, and never got it. But then, my PS4 broke, so I couldn't even play it, even if I wanted to. But after seeing it on the Switch, I just got that instead. It's great. I only planned to play it for like; an hour; but then, before I knew it, I'd been playing it for 2 days in a row, being amazed by what I was seeing on screen, and instantly loving DBZ all over again, and I felt like I was 10 or 11 again, watching DBZ on Toonami, and although DB FighterZ does this same great job too, DBZ Kakarot is just beautiful to look at and listen to again. It's like a Christmas present to DB fans the world over. Now DBZ Kakarot, now THAT'S how you make a proper, destructible open world DBZ game that's true to fans, and a big deal, not only for DBZ games, DBZ fans, but an actual big deal!

i once test-played this game at a store. you HAVE to BUY the "Kamehameha" attack part-way through the first level, to blast a big rock that blocks your progress. and it's not very useful against the boss, because it takes so long to charge up. an article in a game magazine i read said that the only really useful "special" attack in boss battles is "instant transmission", because it can be used to instantly get RIGHT BEHIND a boss, avoiding his attacks and giving you a good opening.
