To the people on the couch talking about the DQ8 story, Angelo and Marcello are half brothers(the townspeople tell you a LOT about the history of their father). They have the same father with different mothers, Marcello was conceived with a bar girl because the mans' wife was thought to be sterile. After Marcello grew up a bit in the mansion, Angelo was conceived to everyones' surprise. Because the rich father now had a legitimate heir, Marcello was shipped off to the abbey without a second thought. Marcello hates Angelo because he took the life he was promised away from him. The story is fantastic, talk to all the NPCs.

Marcello was dealt a bad hand by life but he chose to cling to all those bad feelings and his personality ends up being pretty bad because of it, he totally deserved what happens to him throughout the story.

My final playtime was about 96 hours. Only 12 times as long! Watching this speedrun was a great way to relive the journey through all its silly and tragic twists and turns. RIP Marta :( Wish I knew you could set "Show No Mercy" to make your party members pray to the scepter automatically on the final boss.

so much luck on leopold he never crit then i go with lvl 52 with best armor and weapons i can get and then he make me have a lot difficulties cause of crit that hit 390 dammage and for me he crit like 80 90 percent of the time and only do normal atk then i was unlucky i guess...

But like they said, when your character in DQ8(who looks like Gohan because that is Toriyama’s art style and not the refference here) goes max psych up he turns ‘super saiyan’ wich was added in as an easter egg because only your protagonist can do that and is a refference to Dbz. Despite being it the way he draws he’s characters. THAT is what i’m trying to say here.

Not an easter egg, it actually is a gameplay mechanic that I think is talked about. And can be necassery for the post game super bosses. As that 100 tension attack is stronger than the 50 one.

They put it in for the people that want to watch it. Most of the time, they use this time to announce donations and stuff that they aren't able to get to, especially after a very involved game that requires a lot of explanation/serious time or whatever. They also sometimes include the interviews of the previous game's runners in this time frame, again for those that want to watch it. For those that just want to get to the run, they are always courteous enough to include the timestamp of when the run is about to begin in the video's description, so either way you look at it, they cover all of their bases.
