@@aveafa2621 In Skyrim, thankfully, you can alternate between walking and running at will. Just tap a key and the character will keep walking until you tap it again. I always do it when I am in a settlement and even when traveling on roads. Once I got the horse most of the time I walk except when I'm fighting. I'm really glad they implemented that, it feels more real than running all the time.

Hmm well we can't say for certain the dragonborn is unworthy of being emperor but the chances of the dragonborn becoming emperor are pretty low more wise. Who knows maybe the elderscrolls 6 will touch up on this and we can find out if the dragonborn pursues the ruby throne or not.

Soul snatching, bandit killing, walked to different Hells, went to Sovngarde and back. Captured a dragon, rides on dragons, took out a different Dragonborn, Assassin, thief, pick pocket, 3 mansion owning, thane in every city, full arsenal of shouts, decider of civil war, dragon and giant slaying casually. They should have had the high king of Skyrim be given to you through civil war quest. Since all other questlines lead to you leading that faction.

No, lore present here is that the player is dragonborn. Dragonborn, blessed by Akatosh. Most emperors in the lore are thought to be dragonborn by being descendants of bloodrite. Tiber Septim/Talos was dragonborn so his offspring were too. Well his line ended with Martin Septim in Oblivion and that means anyone who sat on the Ruby throne afterwards was only there by regular mortal means (royalty, marriage, wealth). But the Dragonborn we play in Skyrim is legitimate claim to the Imperial throne. Hero of Kvatch is just a hero who later becomes Sheogorath, daedric lord way more powerful than Emperor.

@@Hunterstiq Sort of. They needed a Dragonborn to keep the fires of the Temple of the One lit, from Reman Cyrodiil to Martin Septim. So there wasn’t a special need for a Dragonborn on the throne after the covenant Alessia made with Akatosh was dissolved in the ending of Oblivion. You could argue that a Dragonborn Emperor after 4E 201 is a good idea for other reasons, namely the fact that there are now dragons flying free across Tamriel again and an Emperor who can control them not only eliminates that danger, it means any army that wants to oppose you has to face dragons on the battlefield. But Alduin’s Wall and Miraak confirm that the player in Skyrim is to be the Last Dragonborn. So will any offspring TLB has inherit the dragon blood? Seems like Skyrim lore is saying no. Another hint to that is that you can only adopt children in Skyrim, not beget them. Now it’s clearly a game mechanic because they for whatever reason didn’t want to go the full Fable route but they haven’t shied away from incorporating game mechanics into lore before. Maybe TLB is just infertile. If anything it seems like Cyrodiil should beg to have TLB take the throne, have one last Dragonborn Emperor since there won’t be another chance once they die, and let that Emperor take down the Dominion and use the power and influence they have gained to help seal the cracks in the Empire and set the foundation for a more prosperous and stable future.

Throughout the game he always shows you respect and in fact is far easier to make have peace should you wait until Alduin. He wants the throne however you are Talos 2.0 the God he adores

​@@gh0rochi363 Rigmor of Cyrodil. It's a sequel to Rigmor of Bruma. They're both really good story mods, not the greatest by far but very fun. Got good characters, decent writing and very epic scenes like this. The lady in the video here who sits down with you is Rigmor, she's one of two optional romance options. I'd really suggest playing them now as the third and last part of the trilogy - Rigmor of Tamriel comes out this year. Furthermore, it's on Xbox if you don't have a computer.

@@the11382 if you hit them with fire breath it wouldn't stagger for long or throw them away, it would only parsley stagger them. Fire breath is in my opinion a bad choice, because the amount of damage compared to that of normal spells is minor. Instead you could be more effective if you were to use "unrelenting force" and then a spell like chain lightning or that aoe frost spell that i don't remember the name of(because they are imperials and has no frost resistance)

This is my head cannon for the Dragonborn. For him/her to become the last Dragonborn Emperor/Emperoress. In the next TES hearing of the Last Dragonborn retaking the reuniting the land and taking the Ruby Throne. It’s only fitting especially with the promises of the Alessian Dynasty from the first Era: “So long as the Blood of the Dragon runs strong in her rulers, the glory of the Empire shall extend in unbroken years. But should the dragonfires fail, and should no heir of our joined blood wear the Amulet of Kings, then shall the Empire descend into darkness, and the Demon Lords of Misrule shall govern the land.” I’ll be very sad is our Dragonborn doesn’t become the next Emperor of Cyrodiil

Mmh, yeah, but the need for a Dragonborn Emperor, the covenant that you’re directly quoting which Alessia made with Akatosh, was dissolved at the end of Oblivion. Martin Septim’a sacrifice however, summoning the avatar of Akatosh as he did, changed something permanently about the link between Oblivion and Nirn, and that’s why only a small variety of Daedra are seen in Skyrim, and only when summoned. The Daedra have much less power than they did prior to the end of TES IV. It would be good to have the Last Dragonborn as Emperor, because now there are dragons flying around and you’re the only one who can control them.

If people are saying that the Dragonborn would make a bad emperor. Just to remind you all that the Dragonborn can be a pretty good statesman, if they can become thane of all of the regions in Skyrim. Becoming a thane is no small ordeal it shows that you actually care for the people and that you make an effort to protect them. Not to mention the Last Dragonborn is a legendary warrior.

Only reason I think a Dragonborn Emperor is needed is because of how the Universe and the covenant works. Everytime the Empire was ruled by a normal individual in fell apart, was ravaged by war and was broken. However everytime an Alessia, Reman or Tiber takes the throne shit magically gets better. Maybe its because Aka is the chief god and those traits travel through you but even the shittiest Dragonborn Emperor managed to lead an Empire that didn’t collapse. Only time it “kinda” happend was with Alessias Son and its only because he was driven from the throne by a fuckin Monkey

Nah it's next to impossible to make chaining plots like that. It's why games like with relations like how fallout 3 mentions the institute where in fallout 4 you can destroy the institute so fallout 3 is set a few years before fallout 4 so it's next to impossible for timeframes to overlap. Player actions cannot really be mentioned in future games without really amazing save file analysis which would be very hard for certain modding setups. Certainly possible for vanilla games but that would be amazingly difficult and would then also need to offer something for people without the previous game.

We won't know, because TES will be right after Skyrim, but it is also possible, for the dovahkiin the mantle Talos and become a nord retroactively in the same way in which the breton who mantled Ysmir/Lorkhan, became retroactively a Talos/Tiber Septim, with a dragon break.

Yes even though I get that the “hero doing his/her thing and vanishing into legend” is sort of The Elder Scrolls’ thing, I can’t help but want a more lasting reminder of The Dragonborn. It’s one of many reasons I love the Dragon Age games so much; your personalized heroes and their impact on the world is uniquely written into the history of the world in a way I’ve never seen before or since. I REALLY want something like that done with Skyrim especially with the Civil War and your decision to ally yourself with one side or the other. Glossing all that over as usual wouldn’t sit well with me.

They named the slums “the grey quarter” in windhelm and it is where the dark elf refugees are forced to live and to help you understand how racist that is think real life and replace grey with black. Ontop of that argonians aren’t even allowed in the city neither are khajits. There’s npc dialogue saying the imperials never enforced the ban on Talos worship and it wasn’t until Ulfric killed a king and made a big deal about it that the terms of the concordat was forced on them to upheld and they’re not done recovering from the Great War. Mind you the god they’re banning the worship of is also the same god that joined Skyrim with the empire and began the third imperial empire. Talos conquered all of Tamriel you’d think in all his godhood he wouldn’t mind waiting for the empire to recover instead of playing into the Dominion’s hands and making the chances of fighting back even less likely. It’s not the empire as a wholes fault it’s the emperor. They should have kept fighting on, the empire literally wiped out all remaining dominion forces during the battle of the red ring but after seeing how the dominion invaders ransacked the imperial city and took out their displeasure on its citizens And commit actual war crimes I can kind of understand how the emp didn’t want the rest of Cyrodiil to continue suffering through that. *Shrugs* The Empire aren’t the villains. The dominion are. The Stormcloaks have every right to fight for their homeland but the empire has every right to fight for their province in an attempt to uphold any resemblance of stability and healing as a whole.

And, this isnt real, but in the movie "Gladiator" when Maximus is fighting the Julia member, the antagonist (I forgot his name but the julia family member) needs a sword, and all the PG put their swords away so he can fight like a real man.

You aren't too far off, the Praetorian Guard killed the emperor an upwards of 13 times. It's probably one of many reasons the Romans fell as hard as they did.

The other guy was Commodus. Perhaps the best educated and trained Emperor of Rome. Who in addition to the best teachers Rome could offer, was schooled in the arts of war and administration by his father, Marcus Aurelius, one of the best and brightest of the Roman Emperors. What does young Commodus do with all that training and education? Get drunk, throw parties, dress up like Heracles and blow the Empire's money on games. The same thing would happen today if we elected a 17 year old MMA/WWE fan and gave him unlimited access to the US Treasury. Perhaps the greatest waste of training, education, and gold in Roman history. Eventually everyone got sick of this spoiled rotten teen and his Gladiator trainer murdered the frat boy turned Emperor probably with the backing of the Praetorians.

It's why I never get involved in the Civil War stuff in Skyrim, even though it's walling off content from myself. The whole thing should be resolved with, "Let's all go to Summerset and kill the Thalmor, then sit down like real warriors do and talk through our differences until an accord can be reached." But we don't get that option, only the option to end the war in favor of one side or the other.

This is ehat should have happened. Dragonborn restablishes The Blades in Skyrim, slays Alduin (also trlls Delphine to STFU, Paarthurnax lives), after dealing with the Drsgons, he talks woth both Ulfric and Tullius about the truce to be official. He has The Blades and now that the dragon threat is over, he alongside The Blades and the dragons that are loyal to him, plan to deal with The Thalmor. Given the respect Ulfric has of Tullius, and how Tullius desire the Civil War to end, they would agree, althoigh Tullius would want Ulfric to be held responsible for Torygg's desth, however, he would be instructed about Nord customs and how Ulfric didnt commit a crime by fighting Torygg to the death. But the politics of Skyrim, and who will be high king will be dealth AFTER the AD is defeated. Whether the Dragonborn assassinated The Emperor or not (basically if he belongs to the Dark Brotherhood or not) will become irrelevant. If the DB never joins the dark brotherhood, The Emperor would still be assassinated by any other assassin. Anyway, given the guilds storylimes, I think the only one that fits the canon story is The DB becoming the leader of The Companions, since Kodlak makes him Harbinger solely on the fact that he is Dragonborn anyway. So we'll lead with that. The Dragonborn has the backup of: The Blades, The Companions, Ulfric and hid Stormcloacks, Tullius battalions, and hid dragons. He would also be fampus for defeating Alduin, and slaying the Volkihar clan (although Serana would be by his side backing him up), and there are rumors that he defeated a drsgon priest named Miraak, but people nor from Solstheim dont know much about it. Anyways, the now Emperor, does not want to tale the fight against The Thalmor. He, alongside some of the Imperial big names, are comfortable with they way they are living. So the e.ire is divided. The Dragonborn still decides to take the fight against The Thalmor that ar in Skyrim and wipe them out, his next stop is Cyrodill. He no has new allies, The Redguards of Hammerfell will join him as allies. Now The DB has a big army. He does not want to become The Emperor, but The Current Emperor demanded for his head, so The dragonborn has no choice but to take him out and place a new Emperor. However, everyone (on his side) wants him to be the Emperor. The Blades are bck, and will have his back, Ulfric would fanboys all over him so his stormcloacls would also back him up. The Companions also ack him up, and Tulius, althoigh a bit skeptical, can't ignore the fact that the DB is powerful and has many feats to his name, and drsgons on his leash, so its like Tiber Septim all over again! Tullius offers himself as his personal advisor. And besides, the custom during the Septim ers was that those who were Dragonborn were deemed to be Emperors. And although its no longer necessary for a DB to be the emperor to hold Oblivion at bay, it would be goos to go back to the era that Thr Empire was strong, and feared. So the DB takes the throne, and his war against The Thalmor begins. His power grows, and people even believe he is Tiber Septim reincarnated!

it is unnecessary, but to the common people it would be an incredibly potent symbol. their standards have dragons all over them, their emperor can shout like talos of old, their first emperor, and they’re going to drive out the dominion and preserve his worship. they’re also, y’know, a famous hero who literally saved the world after fighting a world eating dragon in heaven. it’s also useful from a practical perspective. having your emperor be essentially a demigod would heighten the morale of the army, make the empire more stable, would allow dragons to be bound into service in the imperial military, and their shouts could tear armies apart from the frontlines. i think there’s lots of reasons why the LDB would make a great choice for emperor. i think they’d seek it out, too, considering the will to dominate present in all dragonkind.
